Took my bike here for routine maintenance. I'm kind of a newbie so I like to have someone look it over, just to make sure it is safe and I didn't miss something. Trying to support a local business and it ended up costing me a lot of $$$ They told me they inspected all the hoses. In the process the cracked one and it started a slow oil leak. Brought it back to them, five hours of labor. $$$. Then while they had it they ran over a nail and flattened my tire. More $$$ They will break your bike more than they will fix it. Yeah I went into the store to see about getting my 2000 heritage Softail repair electrical problems Curtis asked for the money up front which I gave him over $450 off of my debit card on August 14th it is now September 14th I haven't received one full call from him I've called a couple times to ask him if he had the parts yet and he treated me like I was annoying him so I'm going to attempt to get a refund or get the parts from him that he bought and let everybody know where the shyster this guy is don't give him any money I've tried calling his wife says he's not available or his sister I should sayThey go I'll probably have to go into litigation I've already spoken to a lawyer we'll see where this goes and I'll keep people posted it's very frustrating read more

Trying to support local business, but I will never recommend this shop ever again! Not sure what's happened in the last 3 years since I've been there last, but I've tried getting a quote on new cams and carb for a month now. I've even spoke with someone on 4 different occasions with the same outcome... "Let me take your number and someone will get back to you" well nobody ever has and a customer should never have to reach out 4 times over the course of a month to try and get a simple quote! I guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere!! read more

This place is a great old school style motorcycle shop. They have the a very friendly staff on hand to help you with what ever make or model you need. In the past I would order my MC tires online and save $60 a $80 bucks per tire over the big MC dealers in town. Thunderbird's regular prices beat the best Internet price and they had my new tires mounted and balanced in less than 20 minutes! Can't get that kind of service off the Internet. Plus given the choice I would much rather support the local guy instead of the big dealers or out of state web site if possible. read more

This shop is terrible. I took my 96 Fatboy in that had a pretty steady and very visible oil leak at the lifter block. Clearly it was an old gasket that needed to be replaced. Typically I work on my own bike, but I did some some research and the job required removal of the push rods and some pretty involved work that I was just not willing to do on my own. I pulled into Thunderbird and the main owner comes out and looks at it and says its leaking gas, then he takes a closer look and says he thinks its a fuel/oil leak but cant tell where its coming from. I was like are you serious? Are you blind? Its clearly leaking from the base of the lifter block and its oil probably from the old worn gasket. He said he would take a closer look, wash the bike and determine the cause of the leak and get back to me with an estimate. 2 weeks go by and I dont hear anything, so I call the shop and ask about the status of my bike. The very rude receptionist asks for my name and number and says the mechanic will call me back. I give her my name and number even though they already had my information. Never heard back from them. I call back two days later, Save conversation. Never hear from the mechanic. No call, no voicemail, nothing. I call a third time the next day and this time she says they are looking at it and will call me back at 5pm. I wait by the phone until 5:30p, no call. The very next day I call them and demand to know what the status is on my bike. She says they just looked at it and dont know whats wrong with it. I tell her that I'm tired of the same story and complain about not returning my calls and that I want to just pick my bike up and take it somewhere else. She immediately becomes defensive and more rude. She said shes not here to listen to my complaints. I ask to speak to the owner. She puts him on and he tells me that he does not know what is wrong with my bike. I tell him that all I wanted was a call back to tell me something after almost 3 weeks. He also becomes very defensive and says he does not want to listen to me anymore and that the bike is done and I should come get it. I hang up on him. I went into the shop an hour later to get my bike and the bike had not been washed. It looked the same as I when I took it in. The oil was clearly visible at the base of the lifter block still. They never even looked at it! I think they lied to me. They clearly did not want my business. That same day I took the bike to The Werkes Shop in Lakewood. They looked it over, gave me an estimate and finished the job in one week no problem. I will be giving the Werkes a five star review. Thunderbird jacked me around and cost me 3 weeks of riding time right in the middle of summer. The Werkes saved my summer riding days and did an amazing job. From now on the Werkes will get my business, not Thunderbird. read more

Sheared off a shock bolt on a '99 fatboy. Took it to the Harley shop and all I got was lip service on what they CAN'T do. Called up AL and he was more than encouraging! Trailered-up the bike and took her down to T-Bird. Al and the boys took a look and jumped right in. Quoted me a week and called in the AM exactly one week later. Not only did they back out the busted bolt, they replaced the others, AND improved two other minor details that they had to work around. Now, it's better than before. They also put new tires on for me while they were in there! Not sure where all the negative reviews come from, but these guys rock! After going to three bike shops and two machine shops and getting nothing but what might happen, Al and the fellas told me what WILL happen! They have more than earned my repeat business and my endorsement! read more
