The lettuce - very poor quality

I hate giving low ratings but avoid this place. The food is stodge. Burger meat tastes like a cat gave its life for the meal. Ordered a salad thinking I'd do a good thing by skipping the fries. The lettuce I got I wrinkled and old. The parmesan is sprinkled out of a Kraft container and is orangish in appearance. Disgusting. Avoid for your health.

This place gets a well deserved 4/5. Pretty close to getting a 5. Seated quickly, coffee arrived fast and no shortage of refills. Food also arrived timely and was really good. Eggs were poached perfectly and farmer sausage was great. Only down side is the price. However, there are limited options for breakfast this time of year and you are in a "resort" town. So I suppose it makes sense. We paid $55 with tip for 2 coffees, 1 regular eggs benny and 1 famers eggs benny. This place is definitely better than the 1.5 star overall review (at the time of this post). Enjoy!!

Breakfast stop before saying farewell to the lovely village of Harrison. Unimpressed. I opted for the Lakeview breakfast and upgraded the hash browns. Big mistake. $3.95 for a dollop of sour cream, odd tasting bacon and a few sprinkles of gren onion. Ham was my meat choice which was utterly inedible. I think it was a piece of sandwich meat warmed up on the grill. Sunny side eggs were too runny. Toast was not greased up with real butter. My partner tried the omlette king. Luckily this was filled with fresh spinach and tomatoes. Used a weird proceed cheese and the weird ham again. His hash browns were regular and tasted more like potatoe. This and a juice landed us at $34. Grossly overpriced for the breakfast quality. Ambiance was not my cup of tea. The front door slams when closed which was irritating this and elevator music did not relax me. Maybe a better lunch spot but I doubt it. Food was fast but that says a lot about quality. View is stunning though!

If you like paying out the ass to feel like shit this is the place for you. All their food is either frozen and microwaved multiple times. Or scraped from the inside of a 7/11 dumpster. If you're in Harrison avoid this place at all costs. I'd hit up the gas station around the corner for cleaner food. If you do end up eating at Lakeview Restaurant, remember to throw up at the table cause I can't see them getting any other kind of tips.

We had the Fish and Chips which was pretty good, fish and fries were very hot which I liked. Soup of the day was cream of mushroom which was surprisingly tasty... not your canned type. Only complaint is that it was a little pricey. But I guess it's expected for a resort town.

Who can resist homemade Pie!?! Tja5 is where our adventure started. A fresh slice of homemade BlackBerry pie ala mode as an appetizer. Delicious blackberry filling with a light crust. We got a slice that was a bit dark, not my preference, and a bit on the small side for the price, but still a tasty way to start lunch. I split it with my husband which was a good thing because the the peanut butter, pickle and bacon burger came out. Holy Smokes! Dripping with PB goodness this is a hard burger to put down. A heaping side of fries helped mop up all the goodness that dripped into my plate. My husband had the ruben, which was just as mouthwatering. Pro tip: if you like garlic get the hand cut fries with garlic. I think they are a bit extra but worth it. Help support this great local diner next time you're anywhere near marblemount.

Here I was....after spending an entire day hiking wonderful Cascade Pass Trail...to then arrive here at Marblemount Diner at the end of the day....this was the perfect ending in having a home cooked hearty meal! I had just completed almost 10 miles of strenuous hiking down the road at North Cascades National Park. I then drove through this tiny town of Marblemount. And...I had read that Marblemount Diner was highly recommended. I was excited to try this place. When I stopped on by here back in August of this year, 2020 (during the pandemic) it was about 5pm - Thursday and the restaurant was empty. Lol, I guess I was just grateful they were open. But...after being tired from venturing all around on a cold and dreary day...I was craving simple, basic all-American food, and Marblemount Diner delivered with success. From the appearance on the outside of the restaurant, the diner certainly exuded a small, rustic, "mom and pop" type of feel...just the way I like em. I was greeted friendly and sat down immediately. Inside the restaurant...it had a cozy setting decorated with hometown pictures, lots of homages dedicated to being in the outdoors and among nature...and a very quaint "cabin-esque" ambiance set within the quiet mountain town of Marblemount. The menu was simple and basic, not too many options...but I sort of prefered it that way. Just stick to what's good. They had a section of... - Sandwiches - Fried Fish and Chicken - Salads - Kid's Meals - Beverages and Alcoholic Beverages - Desserts. That was it. So for me...I'm easy and can eat anything, and especially since I had built up a huge appetite, I had no issues finding something. I chose the Mushroom Burger - "with sauteed mushrooms dripping in Monterey Jack cheese" for $14.75. The burger also came with fries, lettuce, tomato, onions and a pickle in a basket. I also added a fountain soda. The mushroom burger was pretty big in size and with the fries...it was all quite fulfilling and "hit the spot" satisfying my hiker hunger, lol. Eventually, a little later during my time here the restaurant started filling up. Btw, tables were spread out so everyone was more than 6 feet apart. While eating my meal, I looked back on my photos from the day. I genuinely enjoyed taking my time eating, relaxing, and reflecting on my hiking while digging into a fresh hamburger all within this quiet little diner setting. Had I been visiting and staying in the town of Marblemount longer, I'd happily return to this diner. But just overall, I was enthusiastic about having the chance to end my day here at Marblemount Diner. Within the surroundings of the mountains of North Cascades National Park, for me...it didn't get any better than this!

I absolutely love the outdoor seating area as it is nestled among the pine trees and there are lots of seating options and some games you can play while waiting for your food. Beautiful surroundings. What most people come here for are the yummy large burgers and fries and shakes, etc. Although in their menu the offer sandwiches, wraps and salads too. Everyone I saw while there had burgers on their trays. The appetizers are also very yummy. We shared the garlic cheese curds to start and they were very tasty and served hot. Among our group of 5 people we tried a variety of the burger options including Jalapeno Burger, Grilled Onion Burger. I substituted the sweet tempura brussels sprouts for fries and another did onion rings. The rest of us had the delicious fries. The burgers were very big and difficult to finish for several of us so we took a lot of it home. While here we also ordered the special "Doggy Burger" for our dog. This is a basic cooked hamburger which we chopped up for the dog. And I also ordered a slice of the white chocolate raspberry dessert that the worker said was fresh out of the oven. That had to come home for a later day as we were stuffed. Great tasting food here! I'll be back.
