My friends and I came here to take photos, but also got some food to eat. While the diner was very aesthetic, I thought that the food was okay. I personally don't go out often for diner food (burgers, fries, milkshakes) so my opinion may be biased. The staff was friendly and I think the experience was definitely highlighted by the cute vintage vibes!

The beginning of 2025 equates to the commencement of my literary missives for the new year, complete with contemporary juvenile quips at no additional expense for you, my beloved readers. With absolutely no compunction whatsoever, a jaunt to the lovely peripheries away from my present day gated trailer park community in Vancouver, I decided upon here. Mission, BC. Destination dining. Any person that watches TV series likely knows of this place, so I will not bore you with the mind-numbing details. The food was more remarkable than I expected. Quite fresh and pricing is better than a rather famous BC owned/operated family dining chain, who will remain unnamed. The only shortcoming would be the drive to get here, if you're not a local. The Yelp reviews seem to be all over the map. I'm giving it a solid 4*s. For value and taste. Service was friendly and unintrusive. Get yourself some gas for your automobile while you're out in this neck of the groves. BTW, Veronica Lodge and Betty Cooper are not here. Brownies is just up the street, if you're in the mood for fried chicken.

Rocko's Diner is said to be known for their forty flavors of milkshakes, as well as being used for filming of several television shows. The food is delicious and the portions are huge! They serve stuff like burgers, fries, fish and chips, onion rings, and poutine. All very typical diner type food. You can also order breakfast dishes all day long. I ordered the Garden Omelette and when I found out that I could get a Vegetarian gravy at this restaurant, I went for the "Poutine your hash" option! Didn't have room to order any of their famous milkshakes as our dinner was soooo filling. Might need to drop by here for an afternoon snack whenever next we find ourselves in Mission, and snack on a milkshake! Definitely recommend stopping by this place if you're in Mission!

I have been to Rocko's Diner a few times and this restaurant is pretty good as far as variety goes. Some of the food is worth trying while others are mediocre. I have recently come back there to have the Deep Fried French Toast, which I found to be exceptionally good. The French toast tasted very deep fried yet crunchy and warm as well. It also comes with strawberry sauce and butter syrup for more sweetness. The best thing to have there are the milkshakes, which they come in a variety of flavours. You can even have two flavours in the milkshake if you want. When I asked if they could make an Eggnog Milkshake, they were courteous enough to go through the trouble. The interior look of the establishment looks nice with their 50s theme they have going. Overall, Rocko's Diner is a decent restaurant with some creative entrees to offer and would not mind coming back there.

Finally tried the the famous Riverdale diner (Pop's diner in the show). Far from contrary belief, this diner has excellent food! They have a lot of items on their menu so I did not get to try everything but the little that I did try, I was a fan. We started off with their milkshakes which I should say were a bit disappointing - it was basically ice cream. I got their beef chilly bowl with garlic bread which was warm and comforting for a rainy day. The garlic bread was especially good and paired well with the bowl. My favourite was their deep fried french toast!! It had a cream cheese filling and cinnamon sugar drizzle. It came with a side of strawberry marmalade which also I loved! Their onion rings were the next best thing - they were crispy and thin!! Their disco fries were not my favourite however, it was a bit too salty. I would also recommend getting there pancakes - the portions are huge and they are super delicious!

I've been to Rockos a few times and everytime it's always good! This time went for shakes, turns out you can mix flavours, so I got the cheesecake and caramel mix, definitely recommend. Also got their side of hash brows, which are really cheap but the perfect side for the shakes. Service is always good here, the servers are very friendly. And of course the vibes are always great! Their decor is like no other, the perfect cluttered diner. If you're in mission, you need to stop at rockos!

My friends and I came here at around 9 PM on a Saturday night. The waitress we had gave off strange vibes, but overall the experience was decent. I mainly appreciated what they offered because of the portion sizes for their mains. The burgers are huge and we also got some appetizers to share. I quite liked the fried pickles popcorn shrimp and jalapeño poppers. I got a root beer float and most of my friends got milkshakes. Maybe it's just me but I thought there was too much soft serve in my float. All in all a good option for a late night eats.

Really delicious food and amazing decor. Most of the staff were extremely nice although my waitress was a tad rude, but she could've just been having a bad day. Milkshake machine was broken but I'll definitely be back to try it as soon as I can !!

Such a cute little diner with very affordable prices and large portions. It's quite far from Vancouver but definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. It's also open 24 hours which is a great bonus! We checked it out because it's featured in Riverdale. I was a little bit disappointed by how different it looks from Pop's on the show but I can definitely see where the inspiration is from. The staff were lovely and there were soooo many milkshake options to choose from and it just almost feels like Riverdale :) Also, the milkshakes were one of the best ones I've ever had!! The burgers were also super delicious. Very substantial and comes with a huge portion of fries. We couldn't finish it all, which seems to be the trend for most people there, and packed it up to go. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely stop by again if I'm nearby

The service was fantastic and fast, the servers were very sweet and accommodating. The food was delicious, especially loved the milkshakes!!! The inside decor was really cool as well! Will be retuning soon!

Busy when we arrived but was acknowledged right away & given a table. After a bit of wait our waitress came by & we were greeted with friendliness. I ordered the c'ribben milkshake & wow flavour spot on, and the Bacardi was definitely noticeable. As everyone else's has said Bring your APPETITE ! The portion are very large ! I ordered the garden omelette & It was definitely packed with veggies & they CORRECTLY made an omelette by placing the veggies in the middle & folding it!! The hash brown & poutine was good but they used cheddar not curds. The gravy was definitely bold beef flavour, some may not like this, I myself don't mind. The other guest with me ordered the Rocko triple burger two bites and it was fork time & napkins. The Patty was store bought, but still good. Spicy Fries were crispy but not overly spicy . Never got a check up from our waitress through the meal but than again she was busy.

Awesome bathroom door. (I'm from Memphis.)

My wife and I stopped by there and shared an order of fried pickles, a cheeseburger, and a milkshake. Everything there was very very good! The service was quick and good, too, and it had a very friendly and inviting ambiance. I hope to go back there soon!

I first read of Rocko's Diner as being the location shot for Riverdale Pop's Chock Lit Shoppe. Being fan of the Archie comic more than Riverdale, it has been on my radar to make a visit some day. I was glad that it happened to be near the gas station we stopped to fuel up when in Mission, so we trooped over for a bit of a bite. The diner is tiny, literally set in its own lot, away from others. It is a "blink and you will miss it" place if you are driving fast along Lougheed Highway. Parking is available. Due to covid-19, there is limited indoor dining space. But take out is readily available. The interior is kitschy and fun and cute. The service is excellent. The milkshake list is extensive and I went with the recommended cookies and cream shake. It was delicious. The Rocko's skillet I had was so good. It did not look like much, but it was a lot of food underneath the eggs. The hash was crispy on the edges and soft inside. I loved it. It was such a pity I could not finish it and could not pack the leftovers since I did not have a cooler in the car. This will definitely be on my list whenever I am passing by this way on road trips.

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.

Because of that, every place we visited needed to be dog-friendly--and the Sunflower Lodge exceeded our expectations. The patio and view are absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the river with Mt. Baker visible in the distance. Although we didn't realize reservations were recommended, the staff were incredibly accommodating and suggested we take a 30-minute walk in the park (which was part of our plan anyway). By the time we returned, they had a table ready for us. Brunch was fantastic--we ordered the omelette and the eggs Benedict. Both were perfectly prepared, with crispy potatoes and lightly dressed greens. The house-made bread and English muffin were a special touch that really elevated the meal. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for great food, welcoming staff, and a serene setting--especially if you're traveling with a well mannered pup.

The food is good. Thankfully, that's all this place has going for it. Today, with a different group of friends I was wanting to introduce to this great local farm to table style restaurant I've been enthusiastically endorsing came to a halt. I made my reservation online, all good, went to modify it to add more guests to my reservation-fine, all good until we walked in. We were early, would have happily walked the park for 15 mins but noticing the many open tables, we thought well let's ask if we can be seated early since there appears to be many tables available without reserved signs. The hostess had us wait while she checked with the bar manager and I overheard what he said, ok, they can have a table and order beverages but they cannot order the food until the time of their reservation. What? We were truly shocked. Who does that in this competitive industry and in a restaurant with that many open tables?? Anything asked at the table like if a drink on the alcohol side could be made non-alcoholic had to be run past the manager. Micro-managing at its best. And unfortunately this results in the appearance of poor customer service from my consumer point of view, let alone poor staff morale who have not been trained properly. The coffee was forgotten, in our order of the eggs we were asked how we wanted it to be done: sunny side up it was but it was jammy medium hard eggs sunny side up, medium poached asked on the bennys- 1 was soft and the other runny as the sunny side up should have been. I think the plates sat too long before being served. The signature strawberry cheesecake pancakes were a mushed mess of strawberry purée over unappealing flat pancakes with the large dollop of whipped butter/cream cheese sprinkled with a brown sugar rock crumble? What happened to the beautiful delicious dish I was served the last time I came? The server didn't even bother to come back to see if we would like salt/pepper for our brunch items, had to stop another server to ask for the salt/pepper/ketchup. There was no shortage of servers, there were so many open tables! I overheard the young manager telling people who wanted to sit in the patio that they were waiting to get more new umbrellas as clients had broken them. Again, What? I hope I heard wrong. They chose to sit inside due to the nice sunny day with not enough shade from 2 more umbrellas the restaurant needed at most. And when I asked for the tab, it was brought to the table and then I had to wait again until the server noticed I was wanting to use a credit card and she had to go get the portable payment machine. More thorough training is definitely needed to complement the quality of dishes this restaurant can produce and the ambiance of this beautiful venue.
