Sausage with 3 eggs (I added 1) and pancakes
Michael B.

We had a great breakfast this morning at Rollys It's cool to find old school dinners that are still serving great coffee and food that's not someone's artistic expression. Simple straightforward dishes that are large, tasty and reasonably priced. Many of the chain restaurants leave me with a heavy feeling in my stomach and even get stomach acid after having breaky or brunch and especially if it includes pancakes. It's 6 hrs later and I feel great. I appreciate that they are not discriminating against and/or leaving out customers with the apoling implementation of the passport. It's a shame that people don't understand what's at stake in our country and how we are being pitted against each other for an agenda that's not good for the average person. I'll support Rollys any day of the week !!!

Decent diner in the area with typical diner fare. The breakfast looked the best. Staff was friendly and prices are reasonable.

It was back to 'Rolly's' the first morning of our 2-night, mid-June stay in Hope. Daughter and I did an early-am walkabout, then popped back to the motel, caught Mom, and headed to the restaurant for breakfast. Everything was on-the-mark -- with good, prompt and friendly service, and some nicely-presented, and well-prepared, tasty meals. For Mom - fried eggs, hashbrown potatoes, toast, and ham (a nice slice of ham!) -- for daughter - her 'usual' breakfast there - waffle, topped with fruit and whipped cream -- for me - went out of the usual breakfast fare a touch this time - a toasted 'BLT' (bacon, lettuce & tomato) sandwich, ordered with potato salad, and came with some cole slaw as well. Once again, another fun, and enjoyed dining experience at 'Rolly's' - which is becoming a quite familiar, and favourite breakfast dining spot during our stays in Hope.

This visit was my first one ever to this establishment due to a recommendation from a friend and fellow yelper. The atmosphere was quaint, service was very friendly and they treat you like family. The menu has a wide variety of food options. While service was very slow (our food took almost 45 minutes) once the food did arrive it was tasty and fresh. While a few members of my group opted for breakfast, I opted for lunch and I was glad I did since it was 1:30 by the time the food arrived. I had the hot roast beef sandwich which was excellent. The roast beef was tender and the gravy was delicious. We will visit Rollys again when we are in the area.

After being 'cooked' twice, these 'fried' mushrooms are still barely cooked, and not the slightest bit browned.

Stopped in for dinner on the way home from Chilliwack. My wife and I stop in every so often - maybe a few times in a year. The service has always been great. The food on the other hand is hit and miss; sometimes it's decent, and other times I ask myself why I came here (because the wife likes it a lot). I ordered zucchini sticks and spaghetti tonight. The zucchini sticks were quite bland, compared with those at most restaurants. The spaghetti was a large serving. When I ordered, I asked for extra sauce, as I hate 'naked,' flavorless spaghetti. When it arrived, there was a full half inch of water at the bottom of the wide bowl, and not even enough sauce to cover the top of the noodles. I should have photographed it for you. So this is what 'extra' sauce looks like? I asked the waitress for more sauce, and she told me there would be a 'small up charge' for more sauce. I said no problem. So I received a very small bowl of sauce - basically as much as would fit in one ladle scoop. Later when I saw the bill, I found I'd been charged 5 bucks for the sauce; pretty much a gouge for what it was. And I will add that the sauce is very lacking in body or flavor. My wife order a side of fried mushrooms. Not only were the mushrooms not fried, the whole plate was mostly completely raw, as you would expect on a salad. So we sent the mushrooms back to be cooked properly, and when they came back, although they were mostly cooked, there were still a few that were partly raw, and not a single mushroom was even a tiny bit browned. The cook here apparently does not know how to fry mushrooms. See the photos and you'll easily spot the uncooked parts. I still recommend Rolly's as a convenient place for comfort food, as long as you are fussy about flavor and quality. It's hit and miss. Sometimes the food here is quite good. I'll just add that over the five years my wife and I have been eating here, the service has always been good, and the waitresses usually make an effort to be friendly.

Not photogenic. But boy is that a delicious Benny.

Goddamn. Rolly's. This place is so good. It's one of the best things about getting to Hope before a scenic canyon drive. All of the menu items are standalone classics. The French bun on the beef dip just ready to dive in the jus pool. That slaw! The pies! Perfectly shredded hash browns and legit Hollandaise sauce on the Benny's so buttery your lips shine. And let's not forget the other breakfast items! Short stacks and waffles dripping with Canadian maple syrup, cute link sausage and that quality Fraser valley meat selection. *Personally my meal partner and I could have done without the deep fried dill pickles, but I realize that's a highly personal choice, and they do not bring down the heavy hitting menu as a whole. The staff run a tight, cheery ship, they never miss a coffee top-up and feel like old friends. Rolly's you're the best pit stop there ever was. See you next time.

We love coming here while my son is in his outdoor class. The staff are friendly and the food is tasty. The prices are reasonable and the the interior of the restaurant is very clean! Great for families.

Decent, cheap food. Kids loved the breakfast. Burgers are ok. Nothing to write home about but we left full and it didn't cost a fortune

So much we brought some home. Shared the bbq pulled pork sandwich with cold slaw on top, again excellent food. Glad we shared, plenty of food. For dessert we shared a 20 oz homemade hard ice cream Blackberry milkshake. So thick we used spoons ! The young server was open & very friendly. Took our order without notes and got it right!

I absolutely love the outdoor seating area as it is nestled among the pine trees and there are lots of seating options and some games you can play while waiting for your food. Beautiful surroundings. What most people come here for are the yummy large burgers and fries and shakes, etc. Although in their menu the offer sandwiches, wraps and salads too. Everyone I saw while there had burgers on their trays. The appetizers are also very yummy. We shared the garlic cheese curds to start and they were very tasty and served hot. Among our group of 5 people we tried a variety of the burger options including Jalapeno Burger, Grilled Onion Burger. I substituted the sweet tempura brussels sprouts for fries and another did onion rings. The rest of us had the delicious fries. The burgers were very big and difficult to finish for several of us so we took a lot of it home. While here we also ordered the special "Doggy Burger" for our dog. This is a basic cooked hamburger which we chopped up for the dog. And I also ordered a slice of the white chocolate raspberry dessert that the worker said was fresh out of the oven. That had to come home for a later day as we were stuffed. Great tasting food here! I'll be back.

Who can resist homemade Pie!?! Tja5 is where our adventure started. A fresh slice of homemade BlackBerry pie ala mode as an appetizer. Delicious blackberry filling with a light crust. We got a slice that was a bit dark, not my preference, and a bit on the small side for the price, but still a tasty way to start lunch. I split it with my husband which was a good thing because the the peanut butter, pickle and bacon burger came out. Holy Smokes! Dripping with PB goodness this is a hard burger to put down. A heaping side of fries helped mop up all the goodness that dripped into my plate. My husband had the ruben, which was just as mouthwatering. Pro tip: if you like garlic get the hand cut fries with garlic. I think they are a bit extra but worth it. Help support this great local diner next time you're anywhere near marblemount.

Here I was....after spending an entire day hiking wonderful Cascade Pass Trail...to then arrive here at Marblemount Diner at the end of the day....this was the perfect ending in having a home cooked hearty meal! I had just completed almost 10 miles of strenuous hiking down the road at North Cascades National Park. I then drove through this tiny town of Marblemount. And...I had read that Marblemount Diner was highly recommended. I was excited to try this place. When I stopped on by here back in August of this year, 2020 (during the pandemic) it was about 5pm - Thursday and the restaurant was empty. Lol, I guess I was just grateful they were open. But...after being tired from venturing all around on a cold and dreary day...I was craving simple, basic all-American food, and Marblemount Diner delivered with success. From the appearance on the outside of the restaurant, the diner certainly exuded a small, rustic, "mom and pop" type of feel...just the way I like em. I was greeted friendly and sat down immediately. Inside the restaurant...it had a cozy setting decorated with hometown pictures, lots of homages dedicated to being in the outdoors and among nature...and a very quaint "cabin-esque" ambiance set within the quiet mountain town of Marblemount. The menu was simple and basic, not too many options...but I sort of prefered it that way. Just stick to what's good. They had a section of... - Sandwiches - Fried Fish and Chicken - Salads - Kid's Meals - Beverages and Alcoholic Beverages - Desserts. That was it. So for me...I'm easy and can eat anything, and especially since I had built up a huge appetite, I had no issues finding something. I chose the Mushroom Burger - "with sauteed mushrooms dripping in Monterey Jack cheese" for $14.75. The burger also came with fries, lettuce, tomato, onions and a pickle in a basket. I also added a fountain soda. The mushroom burger was pretty big in size and with the fries...it was all quite fulfilling and "hit the spot" satisfying my hiker hunger, lol. Eventually, a little later during my time here the restaurant started filling up. Btw, tables were spread out so everyone was more than 6 feet apart. While eating my meal, I looked back on my photos from the day. I genuinely enjoyed taking my time eating, relaxing, and reflecting on my hiking while digging into a fresh hamburger all within this quiet little diner setting. Had I been visiting and staying in the town of Marblemount longer, I'd happily return to this diner. But just overall, I was enthusiastic about having the chance to end my day here at Marblemount Diner. Within the surroundings of the mountains of North Cascades National Park, for me...it didn't get any better than this!
