    Cheese bubble waffle $6.95

This place is always soo packed, definitely make a reservation before you go! They turned us away the first time we tried to do a walk in, and we always make a reso before we go now! Love how it has such great HK vibes there! Got the rice pot with chicken and cordycep flower ($17) and the rice pot with preserved sausage & chicken ($17) and each of them came with a drink! The rice crisped up in the clay pot and it was sooooOoOo delicious! The crunch added the perfect dimension to the rice pot and they were so generous with the toppings! The cheese bubble waffle ($6.95) was also super delicious and I was very surprised how flavourful it was! The food does take some time to come out, but I'll definitely will be back!

Asian comfort food. Growing up, our family often ate rice-bowls at home: meat and rice steamed in an earthenware pot. The meat would be either minced pork, chopped ginger-chicken, Chinese sausages or black-bean pork ribs. Well, that seems to be what Lady 3 Kitchen specializes in. The best thing about this cooking technique is that the juice/sauce from the meat drizzles onto the rice, making each bite amazing. The food did take a while to come out, which I assume is due to the steaming process. But, it is worth the wait. Luckily, we ordered some chicken wings and bubble waffles which came out first so we could snack on something before the main course. The waitresses are generally prompt and attentive, but don't expect cordiality....this is a Chinese restaurant, need I remind you. The biggest downside of this restaurant is that due to its popularity, it is difficult to get a seat. When we come after 5, many seats are already reserved. It is a good idea to book a table in advance, or come extra early.

First time here, and definitely not the last! Super friendly, busy neighbourhood restaurant serving classic old-school HK comfort food. They're known for their claypot rice - pretty solid, although not as smoky or fragrant as the ones in Hong Kong, but I still really enjoyed it. The stir-fried mustard greens with crispy pork lard cracklings were so flavourful and the pork lard was insanely crispy! I'm officially hooked! They also make really popular double-boiled soups, and the service is as warm as the food!

#claypotrice 煲仔飯 #redbeantofu 豆腐花 #CantoneseHerbalSoup港式燉湯 Full house on Mother's Day even at 2:30pm and they sold out of speciality soup items by 2pm. We arrived around 1:30pm with no reservations as I had no idea they took reservations and that they would be so busy. Therefore, learn from my mistake - visit earlier or make a reservation. You can even phone ahead to reserve your soup or claypot dish as all items are freshly made daily and limited in quantity. They also have fried rice or noodles and stir-fry dishes on their menu so they serve more than claypot rice, sweet tofu or herbal soup but those were the 3 most popular items, as they seem to be on everyone's table. Unfortunately, we didnt get a table before their soup sold out but their claypot rice was indeed decent. The ambiance here is full of Hong Kong vibes and I applaud the owner for her sense of humor in its decor. Free parking on side streets and credit cards accepted. Missing yummy food photos coz I was famished by the time our claypot rice arrived. I normally can't handle waiting an hour+ for getting a table and would have preferred to return another time when their specialty soup items are available. But this is a place my Mom wanted to try for Mother's Day so it was a worthwhile meal experience. Despite the looong wait on my first visit, I observed that the owner does her best to keep up good table service and food taste. They did offer tea or ice water right when we got seated and they provided takeout boxes with no extra charge. I would return again, hopefully with a reservation so i can try their popular specialty soup next time.

Came here since reviews are very good for this place, we were lucky we didn't have to wait, it is very packed. We got fried chicken wings: it wasn't properly processed and it had a weird taste, it was very crispy but not savory enough, not enjoyable The clay rice is very big portion, but it's mostly rice, the disproportionate rice to meat is throwing me off, I kinda wish they could reduce the rice amount so I won't end up having just rice since there is just so much left, every single of us on the table is experiencing the same. I love the sausage and the chicken!very good

This little restaurant is being Soft Opened testing the business. We visited here on Friday, 9/27/2024 in the evening 7:30 pm, It's full house and we had to wait about 15 minutes for an available table.. I like the vibe and ambiance. Nothing fancy, design is simple. But the utensils are good quality. Friendly service and attentive. Food is delicious with kinda Hong Kong touch (mild, not spicy and low fat), I especially like the combo also includes soup, rice and dessert. I wouldn't mind come again for the second visit and try other dishes as they're offering 12% off during the Soft Opening period..

Amazing hole in the wall opened up only a couple months ago. I almost don't want to share this place and keep it a secret! Limited seating maybe 20 at most. Family run joint. We tried 2 clay pots and the pumpkin and rib dish and everything was so nostalgic and comforting. You really get a good rice crust at the bottom of the clay pots too! The tofu dessert with red bean is a nice ending for dinner.

Parking is available but limited in the lot in front. Better to look along Kingsway, or in the side streets behind the restaurant. I found it hilarious that the lot specifically prohibits parking for Tina Cake next door. Guess that must've been a problem over the years. The inside is plain and quite dated (old school). Looks like something out of the 1980s. Awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints. Everything hit the spot in terms of authentic Cantonese. I had the stir fried beef with black pepper sauce, Hainan style chicken, and sweet and sour pork. Everything tasted great. Portion sizes are decent, and prices are quite reasonable. As the dishes are shared, it is best to come in groups (at least 3-4) so more dishes can be ordered. Looks like I've found my go-to for late night Cantonese food. Recommended.

This place has been decent in the past and consistently put out large portions of food at reasonable prices. I don't believe anything is outstanding, but always an overall enjoyable meal. Service is relatively friendly too. On a recent night, the most memorable dish had to be the Bean Sprouts w/ Salted Fish, which was full of umami and went well with a bowl of white rice. The Steamed Oysters w/ Garlic Sauce, Beef Chow Fun, and Seafood Chow Mein were all solid. However, the Dry Scallop Fish Maw Soup was bland, and the Goose Casserole w/ Taro was a major disappointment. Reminder to self, I originally wanted to order Tofu Skin in Dry Scallop Sauce, but was convinced otherwise. The recommended dish had snow pea leaves that were a bit tough, though the supreme broth and tofu skin that came with it were yummy. Next time, I want to try my initial selection. Also, don't forget that cheap late night eats is something I should come back for.

The fried rice was rather bland and had a slightly overcooked, burnt aftertaste. The preserved vegetables were especially underwhelming, as they lacked the strong, savoury flavour that preserved vegetables usually have. It almost tasted like they had been soaked in water for too long, causing most of the flavour to disappear. The diced BBQ duck was also quite dry and lacked seasoning or duck flavour. The HK milk tea unfortunately matched the theme of the meal -- it was very bland as well, with little tea aroma or creamy milk flavour. We actually had to add salt from the table to make the food more enjoyable. Overall, the meal did not meet expectations, especially considering the price. Hopefully the restaurant can improve the seasoning and consistency of its dishes in the future.

Probably safest to park on the street. The inside is pretty bare bones. This place used to be a Pho Hoa (Vietnamese), and there's still the old logo stuck to one of the windows. Basically one doesn't come here for the decor. Staff are friendly and chatty. Food prices are a bit on the high side. They have HK lunch combos (stuff like curry beef brisket rice, or pork chop rice etc.). These combos are actually available for dinner too for a few dollars more. I would recommend going this route for the best value. The portions are decent sized. Special mention. This place also does fancier banquet style dishes such as live seafood, but it's not cheap. With that said, the food is pretty decent quality. My friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point. Recommended.

Long lines at both the Yaohan and Henderson Mall locations speak to how popular it is, and the pricing sits in the affordable range for generous, full-meal plates rather than snack-sized portions. The overall value proposition is strong: you get real-deal HK café flavours without feeling like corners were cut. Dishes come out fast and hot, and the kitchen does not skimp on proteins--whether it's pork chops, chicken, or beef, plates feel properly loaded rather than padded with carbs. Despite the crowds, service is efficient and geared toward turnover, which suits the food court setting and keeps waits manageable once you've actually ordered. It's the kind of place where you grab your tray, sit, and eat rather than linger, but it delivers exactly what you come for. Given the combination of flavour, portion size, and price, Cha Don is an easy recommend for Hong Kong café fans looking for a quick, satisfying meal. The only real downside is the lineup; at peak times the queue can be enough to make you think twice. Still, if the line isn't too long, it's absolutely worth returning for another round.

We went around 1pm and surprisingly they ran out of a lot of options including the baked pork chop rice that I really wanted to try. Despite that, we still gave this place a try since there is barely a line, very unusual for this place. We ended up with the scallion chicken noodle (breakfast item), satay beef vermicelli (breakfast item), and black pepper baked filet over rice. These are stuff out of what I usually get, but I still enjoyed them. The scallion chicken dish was $15 which is a bit steep especially given the chicken is tiny but comes with hot drink. The chicken is a grilled chicken with skin which is flavorful, though the noodles were a bit underseasoned so it is ideal to add the sauce from the chicken into the noodles. The satay beef vermicelli is amazing. The beef is so tender and flavorful, and enhances the flavor of the vermicelli. The eggs and toast were delicious too - eggs were scrambled over easy, and the toast is very crunchy. Black pepper baked filet over rice was pretty hearty. I love the fragrance of the rice and the filet is very tender. The black pepper sauce does clash and dominate some of the flavors but it is still nonetheless well executed. For the drinks that come with the meals, we got milk tea and milk tea + coffee (yin yang) - these drink are high in caffeine even with the small size! Will update to 5 stars when I try the full suite of items they are known for, since the dishes we got were good but stuff that I could've gotten elsewhere.

But once you enter, you are instantly think you're in a different place. The place is quite cute and gave me small hints of nostalgia, as there was some artwork that reminds me of my grandparents generation. They had a small display area selling various local HK-culture related books, jewelry and stationary. As my kids took a table, my wife and I approached the counter, and were welcomed with a big smile. His first question? "Do you prefer I speak in English or Cantonese?" In all my life, I've never been asked that question when visiting a cafe or restaurant. It's a testament to their dedication to customer service and making visitors feel right at home. In addition to what found on their menu, he added they just introduce rice bowls for lunch. So we decided to try the following: - Ginger Scallion Fried Chicken Wings: Very good. Chicken with ginger scallion, is pretty common. But fried chicken wings with freshly prepared ginger scallion is next level. I really enjoyed this. - Mochi Brownie: Good. Tasted like "Lao Mai Chi" (糯米滋) - with chocolate. - Maple HK Milk Tea Latte: Good. A successful take on milk tea in a latte form. - Rice Bowls: Very good. They had two bowls - chicken and vegetarian - both equally good. Carefully prepared. The use of crispy scallions makes it so much better. Service was incredible. From taking our order, carefully bringing out eating utensils and folding them into napkins, delivering our food, and checking up on us - this is full restaurant level service in a cafe setting. I really enjoyed our visit. I would rate this place a 4.5 if I could give half stars. The space is nice, the food is very good, but the its service and family atmosphere that really sets this place apart. I hope to visit again soon.
