Sandra/Sandy mentioned that I could leave a review for the business once when I first started going to her and I always thought I would leave a decent/neutral review. That all changed this last year, 2018 has really shown the true colors of how Sandra feels towards certain clients. Nomarlly I don't like to leave a review like this. She does a great job at nails for your first few times & afterwards only when she is in the mood. Sandra's skill level is not something above any other standard nail salon. I personally went to her because I thought one nail tech with her own business must be more attentive than being in a standard nail salon. There were several issues with the customer service, lack of common decency, and kindness. As per her skills: there have been times she has rushed my nails, cut me, and used the drill on my nails in such harsh ways- making my nails so thin you could see under my actual nail into my nail bed- so unprofessional and completley unsafe! We are all human and I try to always put myself in the other persons shoes, but I don't even want to try being in her shoes for a second. If someone did that to her nails or her daughters nails she would have flipped!! When I mentioned that she was making my nails too thin and now my hands hurt, she just shrugged her shoulders at me and said she had to do it. That was a lie and she knew it. I have seen her be rude to customers that were finishing up while I was waiting outside & I have had her be rude to me & rush through my appointment as well. She does have a mightier than thou attitude towards others, especially when I brought my friend who sat outside while I was getting my nails done. My friend got scolded by Sandra when she opened the door to ask if we needed anything since she was getting a drink next door. During that appiontment & every other appiontment after Sandra gave me attitude that was unnecessary. I left my appiontment deposit with her and I'm never going back. I work in the same shopping center and tell everyone to be cautious of her. I've decided that was it in & 2019 I won't do business with people that don't realize - people are the heart of your business and shouldn't be seen as cash cows!! This place is amazing. Super clean and customer service is amazing. I honestly feel that the bad reviews on here are mostly about bringing in children. I dont understand why you would bring your children to a nail salon. Makes no sense and as a client I want to relax and not hear kids. If you must bring your kids don't expect them to be babysat for and of course they should not be touching the salons equipment. This is the first nail salon I go to that has no nail dust on their tables. I love the fact that they are mostly appointment base because they get you in as soon as you arrive. I got my gel manicure done by Sandra. She filed my nails and after finishing each hand, asked me if they looked okay. She really took her time applying multiple coats. It's been five days after my gel manicure and they have not peeled at all. Usually around the 3rd day, the gel starts to lift and tug on my hair. I have been a regular client for about over a year and I still absolutely love Sandra's work whether it is acrylics or a gel manicure. I work in a occupation where I always need to wash my hands ALL the time and I have never had any of my acrylics lift or break even with 4 weeks of growth. My gel manicures last for about max 3-4 weeks which is impressive. I personally do not mind the pricing because it is worth it. Why? She uses top quality products and great technique. I have been to other places where I felt I was getting a deal for $25-30 acrylics with art, to only be let down and have an entire nail pop off 5 days later. She is an independent artist and is only available through appointment but usually responds in a timely manner to fit you in her busy schedule. So the earlier you set an appointment with her the better because she gets booked quickly. I would definitely give her a shot and check out her Instagram for some additional photos. The problem I'm having is that you're calling me a liar because I DID in fact show the nail tech a photo from your yelp reviews, not once but twice. Both times she glanced at them and said "okay." When she asked me of I'd like to pay before starting, how did you not see or hear when I had shown her and told that my debit card was already out on the counter along with my phone? Now as far as the check in time, the paper asks what time the appt is for so yes, I did write down 12pm. And to clarify NO I did not leave a few minutes before 1pm, in fact I walked out at 1:12pm. What's upsetting now is that you're saying full set should be approximately 1hr to 1hr and 15 mins, but yet mine was done in less than 45mins. I was snap chatting my experience and luckily I have photos to confirm that I was still waiting for service at 12:20 and then took a time stamped photo once I was seated at 12:30. WOW!... ok one more time WOW!!!! let me start by saying i normally dont EVER leave reviews but after the "technician" replying so rudely to my friends review, Ive gotta put my opinion about this place on here tooo!! I didn't get offered callus remover or any upgrade, which i would've definitely added a callus remover and prob even sugar scrub or whatever they normally upsale bc getting a pedi and mani is MY time, I enjoy getting mani's and pedi's biweekly and being pampered. This place did not do so!!! felt totally ripped off on my pedi such a waste. now to answer to his response to my friend, u have a daughter that was walking around and starring at us very weirdly also, im sure u know what its like to have a 2 yr and a 15mo old.. and FYI this fucking IRRITATES me bc i take my son EVERYWHERE with me including other nail salons, why... bc im a FUCKING HARD WORKING SINGLE MOTHER who doesnt have anyone to watch him and i DESERVE a mani/pedi. This place has great customer service but they definitely need more nail technicians. And also, walk-ins aren't the greatest idea. I waited almost 45 mins one time. Called to set up an appointment for acrylics and they are booked until Monday, unfortunately loosing a client. In response to Mauricio's comment, I have waited 45 minutes - patiently might I add. Ive only tried to give constructive criticism as I enjoyed your salon. Unfortunately you are taking it personal. But on the bright side, I did get my nails done at world nails on Magnolia for a better price a couple of hours later. They are great. And you're right. Im choosing to walk away. Owners seem to not want anything to touch their stuff. I took my son and daughter they seemed to make a big deal because they wanted my kids to sit in their lobby and I declined. For starters, I would like to mention that this is my first review here on Yelp - Yes, this place is that good, to which I had to take the time to create an account and make this my first written review. I have been to more nail salons than you could count. I reside in Corona and always found myself driving to Los Angeles, Hollywood, anywhere really, just to be even the slightest bit happy with how my nails are done. I am extremely (And when I say extremely, I mean that, times ten), picky and OCD about how I get my nails done. If I see something I do not particularly find to my liking, I mention it. I constantly found myself asking nail technicians to fix this or fix that during the duration of application. However, when I first started coming here, I simply showed Sandra a photo of what I wanted and did not have to stop her once. I mentioned to her prior that I was very finicky about every little detail, and she made sure to stop every five minutes to make sure I liked what she was doing. She is truly AMAZING. No chipping nor peeling, and nearly impossible to remove the nails on your own. I am particularly simple. I request coffin shaped, nude, long nails, just about every time I come in. I work in a warehouse, so I am constantly lifting and using my hands for everything. With that being said, I tend to walk in with at least two nails broken down the middle because I am forever dropping things. Sandra knows exactly how to take care of me, and makes sure she does so with extra care. She'll even give me tips on how to care for them further. As for my pedicures, Kim does an amazing job! At a previous nail salon, I had a nail technician use bad equipment on me, which made a few of my toenails extremely brittle. She has made sure to strengthen and be very cautious with the way she handles my toes. Too, I have very delicate, eczema prone skin, and am also currently going through tattoo removal on my foot - I more than appreciate the way she takes into consideration the sensitivity of my skin. I am so very pleased to have found a nearby place that meets all of my expectations and more. She consistent about asking me throughout the whole process how they look-to add, change, etc. Her husband did my pedicure and it too excellent. My most wonderful aspect of this salon is they COMPLETELY focus on you. Their achievement isEXCELLENT customer service and producing excellent nails. The price is great because you're paying for quality- which I personally prefer. I much rather pay thousands of dollars for a real Louis Vuitton than a cheap knock off. So if you prefer the real quality nails this with exceptional service this is the place to go.
