I was a walk-in customer on a Saturday morning. I was greeted warmly by Helen. She was helpful in answering all of my questions. I did not need an appointment to get in. A natural gel nail appearance was what I was going for. Kenny gave me samples of colors. I chose to use a neutral tone. When he painted the first two of my nails, he noticed right away that it was the same color of my natural nails. He asked me right away if this was the color I was thinking of. "No," was my response. He asked me to select a darker shade that will show more. I selected a darker nude shade that was still a tad lighter than my desire look. I never had to ask; he asked to switch to a different color as soon as he knew it was off after painting one nail. He picked the color for me this time. I really liked that color! I loved the work they did. Kenny took off my old acrylics and somehow did not damage my nails. Everywhere else I have been has destroyed my nails and some others even caused injury. Kenny was wonderful!! The new set was SCULPTED onto my nails like an artist! Make sure you have plenty of time and are not in a rush because it did take a while but it was so worth it!! She told me if you're not happy don't come back! Wow! I let her know I wasn't happy because the length and shape were off on a few of my nails and she said, that's what you wanted. A few years ago they got brand new pedicure chairs, and they keep everything clean. Each nail tech has their strengths, Helen is fast so ask for her if you want to be in and out fast. Kenny is very thorough and a perfectionist, so he takes a bit longer but you know everything will be on point. And grandma does most of the pedicures. I once brought a friend with me who lost the nail on her big toe by dropping something heavy on it and Helen was able to actually take some acrylic powder and make it look like her real big toe nail so she wasn't stuck hiding her feet in closed toed shoes for months and months while it grew back. I had been going to Helen's Nails for years. On May 14, 2021 I return to get my nails done for the first time in over a year due to Covid. I told Helen that my mom had died from Covid. Another employee had asked how old my mom was. So I told them and with that Helen said "Oh well it was time for her to go anyway". I was so hurt and could not believe she had said that to me. I went here 9/25/19. Not many workers just three so there is a bit of a wait like 45 minutes if your a walk in. I saw Mary who was a nail tech that had been there a month. Mary was amazing and gets 5/5 stars. Her skill with the nails magnificent and she gave a KILLER massage. Probably one of the best pedis I have EVER had. Mary did my fill as well no problem. Now I have to be honest. The facility doesn't use soap, detergent or disinfectant when cleansing the spa pedicure they just go round and round with a brush and H20. 2. They don't use the liners in the Spa pedicure. 3. They don't allow tipping on your debit or credit card and there is a charge to use it. 4. When doing the fills they are using existing paper towels when wiping the brushes during the fill. So you'll get the last paper towel wiping as the last three plus people. 5. The place is super filthy, just look at the ceiling fans and the tv. Dust is rampant in there. They also don't grab fresh towel when placing a new client for a fill they leave the previous just flip it to the other side. 6. Owner / Husband washing his face and blowing his nose in the hand washing area as opposed to the privacy of a bathroom kind of grossed me out. I know it's his place but the etiquette, eeewww. Anyway I Love Mary I would just like her in a better salon. As for this salon they need to shut down a day for a serious deep cleaning and have all items including towels and paper goods single use only, order the appropriate spa liners and use disinfectant when cleaning. Next get more colors and create a menu of your services. Provide water to your clients. So this is functional 1/5 for the experience and 5/5 for Mary. read more

So I stopped by on a whim for a polish change & Eyebrow Wax. Started with Kenny for the polish change, he was very detailed, made sure every inch of my nails were painted, cleaned up any smears, even cleaned up my cuticles. I get really annoyed with half ass paint jobs. This guys really does great work. Got my eyebrows waxed, I forgot to ask her name, but she was the only one that I am aware of that had no accent. She's great too I love my eyebrows. I am not apposed to paying for good work. What pissed me off is that I asked for a simple gel polish change and was charged $18!! They list prices as being $5 & up to me $15 is beyond up. When I questioned the price I was told $15 for the polish change + $3 for clean up (which I did not ask for).
