Great location. Opens early on sunday too so its convenient. Parking is limited still you can find paarking on the streets nearby. Lots of seating outside and inside. Very crisp and essential menu. I like it that way to keep it simple. When i went i ordered the breakfast burrito with regular coffee. The people working there are friendly. The food came out pretty quick. The burrito was not huge and it is a perfect size. It tasted fresh, crispy because of hash browns. The texture was great as well. Coffee was spot on as well. The salsa that was given for the burrito though was bitter. This is the first time i have had a salsa that is so bitter. Having a breakfast burrito without a good salsa makes it hard. I ended up eating without the salsa. Overall i like this place and give it another try for trying different items. read more

HUUUGE disappointment. We USED (key word) to enjoy the quality of their food which is a rarity for breakfast places. Well now this place has slipped to the negative performance. The "famed" breakfast burrito with bacon (which is an additional cost) seems to be a POTATO burrito with a little egg and tinier than crumbs pieces of bacon - for $11 to go. Well don't waste your time - Phannys is the best but when they're closed on Sunday it's worth the drive to Malaga Cove Ranch Market for good breakfast burritos. I am not one to post reviews, but I had such an awful experience at this coffee shop today that I felt I needed to warn others. I was extremely excited to try out this place as I had heard great things in the past from friends and family. I had no issues ordering my drink initially, but when my name was called I walked over to pick it up and accidentally had gotten someone else's order. I acknowledged my mistake and apologized immediately to the barista, but to my surprise I was met with an extremely rude attitude and unprofessional demeanor. This experience was so upsetting to me I walked out of the shop in tears. I understand the shop was busy, but the way I was treated as a customer was completely unacceptable. (Not to mention the latte was almost $8!) I am sad to say I will not be returning to this establishment again. read more

You guys!!! this place is seriously sooooo good!!!!!!!! If you've been looking for a good cup of Cafe de Olla, this is it!!!!!!!! if you've never had a cafe de olla, try it.. you've been missing out. It's coffee with a cinnamon twist. The latte version was bomb, from the first sip i was like, ok this IS cafe de olla. The barista did say the latte was a little more bitter than a regular cup because of the espresso they use but i didn't notice the difference much. I also had the breakfast burritos, i had bacon & soyrizo. Both so delicious! It's not your regular coffee spot with pastries & avo toast (which i think they have too) but you get a hearty breakfast without a restaurant atmosphere. The Brioche breakfast sandwich is pretty good. I enjoy the sauce on it cause it has a slight kick to it. The coffee is okay. Overall I think the menu is overpriced for what you get, but it's a nice spot if you want something quick. read more

If you are in a rush and want food as well, i suggest somewhere else! We waited 25 minutes for two breakfast burritos. I wouldn't say it was busy either. Hashbrowns in the burrito were crispy and soft but it was the best part! The coffee is strong and good though, so I'd come back for just coffee if i was around the area. This is a brand-new coffee shop in South Redondo, on the corner of PCH & Ave D, and it's just what the neighborhood needed! Because sometimes you just don't want to deal with the village and La Terraza fits the bill. It's located in a renovated store front and they did such a great job of creating a modern space while keeping with the vibe of the area. It's clean and open without that cold sterile felling you get from some coffee shops. There are plenty of seating options inside; a bar counter, tables & a comfy conversation area in the front. Plus, some welcome outdoor seating on a front patio. I was there yesterday for the first day and you wouldn't know it, the service was great and everything seemed to be running smoothly! They were busy and when the owner noticed we were waiting for our order he gave us free Pellegrino's! We spoke to him briefly and he is engaged and seems really excited to bring a unique coffee experience to the area. Of course, the big question is how was the coffee? Well it was great! We both had Cappuccinos, one with oat milk, that tasted so yummy, you could really taste the quality of the beans. They also have a nice menu of breakfast and lunch items. We didn't have any this time but I saw it coming out everything looked fantastic and the happy faces of the people eating confirmed it! I will definitely be back for the french toast :) The shop is family and dog friendly, just what you want for a neighborhood coffee shop. The parking is street only which can be a little tuff, but you are only 2 blocks from the beach so it's perfect to grab a coffee and go for a walk even if it's just back to your car LOL La Terraza is a very nice neighborhood coffee shop and I can't wait to come back :) read more

My wife and I wanted to find a new breakfast spot and based on the favorable reviews we tried it out. The place was somewhat busy, so we thought we should try breakfast. We ordered the special drink a "chai fog" and a brioche breakfast sandwich. Around $45 with tip. The drinks and food were delivered with a friendly attitude and the outside seating was pleasant. So ambience and service are both good at this point. Where the stars dropped off was the drink quality and food portions. The drink tasted like nothing. Well, more accurately like hot, watered down milk. The sandwich was small. Tasty, but so small that we were still hungry and went to get a coffee and pastry at another local coffee place down the street. I've been waiting for this place to open and was excited to try it out! I'm giving it a 4.5 because overall I had a great experience. And I will definitely be going back to try their food. It all looked amazing! Why the 4.5: I ordered an iced almond milk latte and was really surprised how great the espresso was. It was strong and had a great flavor. The downfall was the milk... They used almond breeze milk instead of barista milk and it really made a difference. If they had the barista milk the latte would've been bomb! Because it had everything going for it except the creamy taste of the drink. The barista was super friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. So bonus points for friendly service! Also loved the interior. It was super inviting and the overall vibe was on point! I loved going in sitting and getting work done. If you are looking for a great spot enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend, look no further! They have an exceptional amount of seating on their patio just down the street from the ocean! Highly recommend taking a walk to see the beautiful views after enjoying a quick bite to eat. The black coffee and cold brew were delicious and you can tell they use quality beans. However, they were a little on the bitter side so maybe ask for some creamer depending on your preferences. Next time I want to try the lavender latte! Plenty of street parking. My friend and I were originally going to a different brunch place, but there was going to be a long wait so we decided to try La Terraza which was close by and didn't have a wait at all. We both ordered the brioche egg sandwich, which comes with a small side salad. I got the matcha while she got an iced vanilla latte. Usually when we try a new place, she would make comments if she really liked the food but seeing how she didn't say anything about the food was enough clue that she was only eating out of hunger. I personally thought everything was sub-par. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't amazing either. The food was served in take-out boxes even though we were dining there, so it kind of killed the vibe. Their food is AMAZING. I love love love their avocado toast and challah french toast. I swear I find myself daydreaming about their avocado toast. It's just incredibly fresh tasting. The dressing they use on their side salads is my favorite. Coffee wise--it's not my favorite, but I think I just haven't found the right drink yet. I like stronger coffee, and whenever I get their lattes, they taste a bit too milky/sugary for my personal taste. But again, I'm still making my way through their drink menu to see if I can find a drink that I do like. I'm sure I'll find it! The baristas are awesome--always helpful and friendly. Updated: Hi Cynthia, I know what a good person you are. At that time, you listened to me and tried to solve my problem. However, it is not about you it is your employees that I want to talk about. The female employee did not seem to have any intention of apologizing from the beginning, and when asked to be more careful next time, instead of saying sorry, she said "I know," and left. Manager - The manager did not want to listen to the story from the beginning. At least a manager should listen to the customer's voice and try to resolve the situation, but when I tried to talk about the female employee, he didn't want to listen to me and left the scene during conversation. It's a shame that you give the role of manager and have him handle your store to someone who doesn't know how to solve even basic problems. Perhaps he will be anxious to avoid this type of problem if it arises again. From the beginning I said I didn't want a refund. I respect your business. Charge me back again if you need. It's not about money. It's about attitude. However, the reason I am so angry and disappointed is that there is no real apology from your employee. Also, the reason why I am so angry and disappointed is that I did not receive any sincere apology from the female employee who was actually responsible for this incident. Her attitude as she said "I know" and left the scene was really unpleasant. I was very offended by the manager's unprofessional attitude. The sight of them sarcastic and giggling while you are not seeing them is also very unpleasant. Watch the in-store video if necessary. I feel sorry that you still don't know what the problem is. The next time I asked her to be careful, her response was, I know. Not a sincere apology and just left. She had minor burns on legs and due to the employee's dumbfounded attitude, I asked if there was a manager or owner and she said there was not at the first time. However, there was a manager right next to her, and a man called the owner came out. I explained the situation, but the man who was the manager did not try to understand the situation and laughed at me. Even while the owner was talking to me, the manager and staff were giggling and laughing sarcastically behind the scenes. I even felt racial discrimination. The coffee is strong and delicious. They have different kinds of milk options, which is great since I order non-dairy milk. I like their selection of pastries since they have unique things to offer, such as pistachio raspberry muffin. It was really good, and I'd love to try other things on the menu. We stopped by for breakfast right when the shop opened, while on our way to Palos Verdes. We ordered the French Toast and Avocado Toast. I don't usually enjoy French Toast (especially when the bread gets soggy), but La Terraza's French Toast was an exception. They use Challah Bread, which had a satisfyingly fluffy text, coated with just the right amount of egg. The French Toast wasn't overbearingly sweet, either. The Avocado Toast was pretty typical -- it was simply topped with avocado and tomatos. Nothing too special, but the savory flavor of the Avocado Toast complimented the sweetness of the French Toast well. I'd recommend ordering both dishes to share. I'd also highly recommend coming early in the morning; the food and atmosphere gave me the perfect start to my day. The neighborhood and store front are both very inviting. It's not often that I stay awake thinking about French Toast... but La Terraza's got me going at this ungodly hour! FOOD: 5/5 I chose to order their french toast, avocado toast, and matcha oat milk lattes. I dug into the toast first to find a very surprisingly crunchy bread base under all the cut up avos. It also had a wonderful lemon sauce upon it which I found pleasing! There was a side of arugula as well which my friend and I used to top over the toast. Then I moved on to the pillowy toasts. My goodness- when I tell you I experienced all 5 senses in one bite of this, I mean it! The challah bread was perfectly coated in perfect amounts of egg, and the sweetness of the sugar and syrup was a combo I'm never going to forget about.
