    Buttermilk Pancakes

another amazing drop-in at Serendipity! I met my grandmother and aunt there for brunch, and as always, it didn't disappoint. I decided to try something new and ordered the spicy brisket omelette. I'd give it 4 stars -- the flavors were great, but I was hoping for a bit more heat. Of course, it came with their signature pancakes, which I absolutely love. My grandmother ordered the pork chops, and my aunt went with the classic French toast. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Looking forward to our next visit!

This restaurant is large and bright with tons of seating. It took over the last restaurant that was here, Ortega 120. The outdoor patio is covered, so it doesn't feel like you're eating outdoors. It's wait to be seated, but the host/hostess asks where you want to sit. The first time I visited, I sat at the corner table indoors. The second time I visited, I sat in the outdoor patio. The food tastes pretty good and healthy. I had the vegetarian omelette on my first visit and egg white omelette, turkey bacon, and fresh fruit on my second. On both occasions, I was happy with my food. The staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant, along with the other businesses next to it share their own free, covered parking lot. There is plenty of parking.

Great place for breakfast or brunch. thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my meal! I had the French Toast along with a couple of mimosas--everything was delicious. Omelette was pretty good.Given the quality, the prices are very reasonable. It's a great spot for a relaxed family breakfast, and there's plenty of space for larger groups as well. The service was excellent--friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I can't wait to come back and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal. Highly recommended! **** had a great time overall, but unfortunately, something very disappointing happened that I can't ignore. After finishing our meal, we stepped out of the restaurant for a few minutes and realized I had left a wrapped gift--my son's gift--at our table. We were gone no more than five minutes. When we returned to retrieve it, the gift had been taken. I asked the bartender for help, and thankfully, a staff member brought it out. However, to my shock, the gift had been opened--the box was torn, and the wrapping was no longer intact. I truly don't understand how or why someone would open a personal gift left unattended for such a short time. This incident really put a damper on what had been an enjoyable experience. While the food and atmosphere were great, this situation was very upsetting. It turned what could have been a 4-star visit into a 2-star one for me, especially as it was my first time dining here. I hope the management takes this seriously, as it raises concerns about respect for guests' belongings.

    Father's Day menu (2025)

I was in town on my own and wanted some breakfast, so Yelp helped me find this place. I got a Greek omelette with a side of pancakes, and it was very good. It's Father's Day so they had a specific menu and the place was really decked out and decorated for the holiday. I was alone so I sat at the bar. Pros: The portions were VERY large. I easily could've shared this one breakfast item with someone else. As it was I took half of it home for later. The omelette was original - not your every day experience. The ingredients tasted fresh and were a nice combo. It needed a little salt (at least for my taste), but I'd always rather add salt than have something that's too salty where that's the only flavor. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and definitely better than other restaurant pancakes that I've had. I loved that they have convenient, covered parking for free! The service was friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time given that it was a busy holiday. Cons: It's very busy and loud... it's a family-friendly restaurant but the vibe feels like a club at the same time. Great if you're looking for lively and fun, not great if you're actually wanting to talk to people in your group. I would never take my dad here for a Father's Day breakfast, but for a graduation party it would be great. The seats at the bar are very uncomfortable. Soft but tight and a very short length for your thighs. I'm not a tall person but if I were, I couldn't have sat longer than 10 minutes in that seat. I was there at 11am, and there was an older gentleman down the bar who started talking to me. He was CLEARLY hammered drunk, slurring his words and bleary-eyed. I'm easy going so I humored him and went about paying my bill. But to my horror, I saw him leaving the restaurant for the garage only minutes after I did. He was SO DRUNK that he was unstable walking, and he was heading towards a car! To DRIVE!! HE had definitely been drinking at the bar and by his level of intoxication it couldn't have been for only one drink. I think he was over-served...There is no way that guy should've been allowed to buy his last drink for his safety and that of those around him. I got out of there as fast as I could to avoid being anywhere on the road with this accident-waiting-to-happen. Note: I had looked at other pictures of the menu that had lower prices, so I was a little surprised that the omelette was $23. So I don't know if that was just new inflation prices, or if things were a little pricier for the Fathers Day holiday. Overall it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind going there again. The lunch and dinner options looked tasty

We went for brunch in a Sunday around 12 pm. It was not busy at all. And we were able to have a table for 6 easily! They had live music!!!! I'm surprised this place isn't more popular. They have good brunch choices everything tasted good. I got the Machaka, and i got it with hash brown AND you get to choose between toast OR pancakes!!! So of course I got the pancakes they were really good. And the places were huge the cafe latte was also really good.

The food was just alright in my opinion. The dressing was solid and the produce was good, but honestly the brisket fell flat for me. Everything else was solid though, our server was really nice and we ate out on the patio so vibes were nice. Probably won't be back anytime soon.

We always see this place when we go to dinner next door. Have seen some great reviews on Instagram so we decided to go there for breakfast on a Friday morning. The inside is very nicely decorated and wasn't too busy when we got there as we were between the breakfast and lunch rush. Our server was friendly and efficient. Menu offers a lot of variety and you can order breakfast or lunch all day. We opted for the corn beef hash combo with pancakes, and the Greek omelette, which was very flavorful with the perfect balance of spinach, olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, etc. The corn beef hash, unfortunately, was dry and salty and the pancakes were just OK. Prices are reasonable, willing to come back to try some of the lunch items

Went to Serendipity, had breakfast for dinner... Absolutely Delish The restaurant is beautiful inside and the staff is friendly & well trained! The omelet was delicious, one of the best I've had in the South Bay... That says a lot since there are some other amazing restaurants around!

The location is nice, giving diners a nice patio view of cars cruising PCH even though some of those same cars can be quite loud. Unfortunately, the food is not good, not quite on the same level as what you might find at a workplace cafeteria. Everything looked fine at first, but the omelette gave the impression it had been sitting for some time, with eggs that were gritty and cheese that had hardened. The turkey club offered generous servings of meat but didn't offer much else. The servers didn't bring extra napkins after repeated requests, and seemed overwhelmed by how busy it was on the Sunday morning I visited.

Popped in here for lunch , the restaurant was really cute and has a wide open space layout. María sat us down and was also our waitress, she was amazing and attentive We ordered the Basil Smash and Espresso Martini and both were excellent . We ordered a couple entrees off the happy hour menu Chicken sandwhich / chips ahi Poke Nachos Philly cheesesteak with salad Brisket sandwhich / chips All of the food was really good , and we were checked on several times They were playing music , but it wasn't soo loud so we were able to talk and catch up the whole time Will Definitely be back.

Serendipity is truly an experience ment for laughs, cocktails, and great food. I've visited the location in moorpark multiple times so to have one in the south bay is incredible. Home of monster mimosas and declocious bites and unique cocktail flair , there is something for everyone. Today I opted for bottomless mimosas for ab90minute period as my plus one doest really drink so the monster mimosa wasn't an option this time. My mixed flavors were a delight. Fresh and bursting with flavor Food was an experience on its own. Everything was delicious and well portioned. I had no complaints to the quality. As a disabled person I felt all seating accommodated any need from mobility aides and all. The outdoor patio is pet friendly for those who seem to not leave pets at home. The patio area was very nice and is covered so hats and sunshades are not needed, but you can still enjoy the fresh air and weather. Customer service is phenomenal from the moment you walk in. Friendly hosts greeted us upon entry, our server just as polite. Because they are fairly new to the south bay unknowingly that I'm familiar with them offered a tour of the venue and personalized recommendations which was amazing all in all. My only area for improvement would be upkeep of the restroom as it was very nasty. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Country Fried Steak & Eggs with "red?" Potatoes.

First time to this restaurant. At first I was a little hesitant as there were staff outside the front door and I couldn't tell if they were hosts or not. I was waved inside and the man at the host desk looked at me and said "can I help you?" Which I thought was a weird ask as I was there to eat. Once I was seated I was aware the people next to me were getting frustrated trying to get a server's attention with no luck. A server came to me first and I told her the people next to me needed help. All they wanted was to pay their bill. So frustrating when you can't get help to pay your bill! After that the service was much better, my server took my order and brought my coffee and orange juice quickly. I had to move to a different table because the sun was on the back of my head, and they were very accommodating. A new server took over and she was great, she kept checking on me and I felt much better than when I first got there. The breakfast was good, my eggs were cooked perfectly as was the toast, potatoes and the country fried steak was enjoyable. The fresh orange juice and coffee were good also! If I had a request; it would be for chai tea, which was not on the menu. The live band that is there on Sundays were really good! Very entertaining with great songs and not so loud as to disturb conversations, at least for me outside on the patio. It's a large space, so I hope they continue to offer great service and food as I'd like to go back to try lunch/dinner next time.

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

I got to visit Keegan's again recently when a friend was visiting from out of town. We had just grabbed dinner and boba and headed out here to hang out for Saturday night. We came close to 10pm and there was a bouncer at the door checking everyone's IDs. The place was relatively packed with several different celebrations and birthdays in their outdoor area that has all the fire pits. They had waiters coming around the outside tables but one could also go straight to the bar to place drink orders. There were several tvs around the bar area and I spotted a pool area towards the back of the outside area. Most of the fire pits seating was taken by large parties but there were some smaller tables, that my friend and I were able to sit at. We didn't get any food but I got to try my old favorite Lemon Drop - which was a nice, refreshing sweet treat for a Saturday night. I did quickly scan the food menu and it's a lot of traditional bar food like burgers and fries. The music for the night consisted of old school rap songs from the 2000s.
