Ribs and Beauty's Sweet Potato Pie
Tom L.

We ordered takeout (DoorDash) tonight. The food was delicious especially the sweet potatoes. We ordered the full rack of ribs, I think they were from a brontosaurus they were so big and they were really good. The beans were really good as was my son's chicken and waffles. We ordered the peach cobbler and it was amazing. We will definitely ordered again.

They have Fried Green Tomatoes this whole time all I wanted was fried green tomatoes! And they were delicious the food was amazing here some of the best soul food I've had in this area they were very accommodating we came with a very very large group and they were patient they took all of our orders and we had no complaints. The staff was very polite the restaurant was very clean it definitely gave you a home feel. If you're looking for soul food and you want to take the family for a casual get-together of good food good service and good fun I recommend this place.

I took my peach cobbler to go and photographed it at home since I was too full from the meal. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it!

The bbq here is better than anywhere else around the area. I ordered a combo with brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was only ok. I was impressed with the brisket though. It was later in the evening (around 7PM) and the brisket was still moist and delicious! It had a distinct but not overpowering smokey flavor. The bbq alone would at least make me come back, but everything that went with it is what really makes this place. I ordered fried green tomatoes and collard greens as my side. They were both fantastic. The batter on the tomatoes was probably about the best southern batter I have ever had. I will definitely try something else fried in it such as the catfish next time! The combo also came with a muffin-sized cornbread. It was great. It was not dried out at all and had a very delicious buttery flavor. And last but not least, they have a much larger dessert selection than other bbq places I have been to. Based on recommendations on Yelp I took home their last piece of peach cobbler for the day. It was very good and I highly recommend trying it! They have many items not listed on the menu as well. They let me try the chitterlings! Overall I think the place is good and definitely worth trying. I would recommend trying something different than your typical brisket, ribs, pork, etc as I think that is where this place really stands out.

This place is legit. Everything is made from scratch, no bottled BBQ sauce...etc brisket is tender and tasty, winged come smoked or fried, catfish nuggets are on point. The real hidden gems are the soul rolls...smokey turkey and cabbage stuffed into a soul food take on a Chinese egg roll (absolutely delicious). I'd suggest a sampler platter if you can't make up your mind. The atmosphere is like a real restaurant...not the picnic tabled/faux juke joint that you'd expect at most establishments selling BBQ. Go in...sit down...enjoy the fried okra and wait staff. Pleasantly surprised with the all around experience.

The ribs are GREAT. Tender and juicy. The baked beans are AWESOME; super flavorful. The corn bread is the best corn bread I've had! The Mac and cheese are deliciously cheeeeeesyyyyyyyyy. And the service is THOUGHTFUL!!!!! Come here for killer soul food!!!!!

I am from Shreveport ,la. I ordered the rib plate and shrimp plate. The price was very reasonable and we know good down home food in the boot (Louisiana ). This was my first time at this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend. The people has a good southern hospitality and the take out service was fast. The ribs are tender with a great smoky flavor, just right. The green and potato salad was almost just like home. The shrimp was good even though I prefer corn meal batter. The corn bread was perfect . For dessert I got the peach cobbler , excellent . I will definitely be going there again.

Food is amazing. Rib meat was awesome. Mac n cheese was the real deal. Soul rolls are out of this world. Peach cobbler was unlike any other. Washed down with a big mug of cherry kool aid

Best Ribs in the Cuyahoga / Akron area. Also the best customer service I've received from any soul food restaurant in the area.

Great mac & cheese! The perch sandwich is good, but needed tartar sauce. Fantastic baked beans & chicken & dumplings. We will be back!

Love this place. Desserts are awesome, especially the caramel cake. The owner could seriously have a bakery as well as the restaurant.

Our waitress was so…read morenice and she did a great job of checking jn on us without being too invasive, I really appreciated her taking care of us. The place was smaller than I expected because I assumed it was a market due to the website haha but after learning more about how they get their meat from a local farm, I understood better. Was very pretty and modern inside with a twist of old fashioned decorative items like mason jar/wooden wheel chandeliers. Drinks came out fast, I got the banana old fashioned which was good. Not much banana flavor though but there was a subtle banana hint, so if you like an old fashioned on the sweeter side, I'd say you'd enjoy this cocktail. The food was good, we started with the soup of the day with was a DELICIOUS bacon Mac n cheese soup served with two pieces of naan (the naan was meh but overall good pairing with the soup). My partner had a chicken sandwich which he enjoyed even though he said it was pretty salty. I was very pleased with my T.F.R smash burger. But my favorite part of everything we ate were the fries! The FRIES! They were fried to crispy perfection and the batter was so fluffy and delish. They were very nicely seasoned and surprisingly had bits of garlic pieces throughout that you can eat or set aside.

Stopped in with some friends for a quick dinner before the Wine and Chocolate event. Get there…read moreearly as the place fills up. We got a table and shard the cheesesteak platter. Very good, maybe a tad dry. A good Aioli was needed. A couple of beers and that was that. Good service. I will return for a slower paced night out.

I was long overdue for a girl's night out so I met a good friend here after work one night this…read moreweek. She picked it because she was going to be in the area. I've never been here before but I know it's a fairly popular place so I was quick to agree to the location. We originally sat at the bar but the stools were so incredibly uncomfortable, so we moved to a booth. While our server was nice, it did take her quite a while to come take our drink order. I got a "lavendar breeze" for my first drink and it was delicious. The menu is small, with the focus being on grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm not a huge grilled cheese lover, so I ordered a wedge salad (with house white French dressing) and the sauerkraut balls from the appetizer menu. The salad was on par with what you'd expect, the dressing was tasty. The sauerkraut balls, though, kind of threw me. First, it's a HUGE serving. There was around 30-40 sauerkraut balls in the basket; way more than I ever imagined would be in an order. I was expecting four or five golf ball sized balls. Maybe I've been spoiled by having some fantastic sauerkraut balls, but these were subpar, at best. They didn't have a lot of flavor and the cocktail sauce they served with them was an odd choice. While I still enjoyed time catching up with a friend and the drinks were well done, I doubt I'll come back for food. The menu just wasn't appealing to me and what I did have wasnt good enough to lure me back anytime soon.
