I had the regular gyro and onion rings. To be honest, it is the best gyro I've had in my life. I've been to a lot of different restaurants and shops that serve gyros and this beats them all ten fold. Their portions are absolutely massive. I had the regular and they liked the ingredients so high that I couldn't grasp the sandwich fully. With every bite ingredients was falling out. The quality of the lamb was amazing. And the sauce was nothing I had before, it was definitely house made. The onion rings were great as well. Cooked just right. Gotta try the local places and so when it was time for sandwiches we headed to this Cleveland born outpost. With their speciality being corned beef, I had to include that in my order but I love pastrami. Lucky for me they have the New Yorker that combines both with a play on the Reuben. Portions are monstrous, with more food than any human should consume in one seating. This place was packed which is always a good sign. The staff was friendly funny and helpful. You can tell it's family ran and its been around for years. Most of the patrons seemed to be locals that come often. It has a really cool NYC big city deli vibe. My kid got a hotdog, my husband an Italian cold cut and me a Ruben sub. All the portions were HUGE. We all had lunch for two days basically. We saw other people ordering all kinds of other things that all looked amazing. Their salads looked outstanding! so big so much stuff and we agreed the Gyros are where it's at. The super gyro is out of control looking. Knife and fork big for sure. The salads are huge too. Great prices and a ton of food. I haven't tried a better sub and the staff always makes me feel welcomed! So I'm updating this because I just can't get enough of this place and want everyone to share in my joy. Very good food. Sandwiches are very huge. I ordered a medium gyro and had dinner for days.

I gave up meat years ago, and it is always a challenge to find non meat centered meal options for take out. A few months ago I happened into the Hannnis Subs on Brown Street for lunch and wasn't sure what I could get. I explained that inso not eat near, and the young lady behind the counter suggested their falafel wrap. She was incredibly sweet and their customer service was amazing. I got back to work and was surprised at how delicious the wrap was!! So much so that I tried many times to order on line or in the App for delivery, but couldn't find the option for it. Finally today I made my way back again. The food is amazing, and they explained that the option for the falafel wrap is in the falafel menu! I thought for sure I had looked there many times, but when I got back to my desk, there it was plain as day. (I am sorry I doubted you!). Now I know incan order delivery, I may be doing that more often. :) if you are vegetarian, this is an AMAZING option, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Brittain Road Location There is a real issue with customer service tonight. The guy who answered the phone was rude, screamed in my ear and then hung up the phone. I was asking to order ahead for pick up and due to the language barrier, I was confused on what he was saying when he was telling me they didn't do "pickup ". He was trying to say I had to come in to order. When I went there, he was rude and talked about not knowing why he worked there when he could just work in a factory! Step aside, Subway. You have met your maker. I used to pass this place daily when I lived at home. It looks like a total dump from the outside and doesn't really stand out as a "must visit" type of place. However, my dad has been raving about how amazing this place is and we decided to stop in there to grab some sandwiches for lunch before I took off to head back to Chicago. So we stopped in. And, just like the outside, this place is pretty dumpy. It's as if someone set up a deli counter, threw in a few snack racks and random pop refrigerators, and opened up a store. But man... those sandwiches. Ridiculous. The menu is pretty straightforward - deli favorites, hot subs, cold subs, corned beef galore, whatever you want. Some of the subs come in one size, while others have options of regular, medium, and large. They all come with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, and a cheese at no charge. I ordered myself a small corned beef sandwich with provolone only. A minute later I watched the sandwich artist throw a half-pound ball of corned beef on the bread and smash the other piece on top of it. Seriously... I've never seen that much meat oozing out of the sides of the sandwich. I then watched him make a "small" gyro which was the size of a football. The dude next to me ordered a medium sub with everything on it and it was enough to feed a small, hungry family. My dad and I went up to the counter. 3 huge sandwiches, and 3 pickles (I guess you get one with each sandwich) and the total was $18. $18 (!!!!!!!) Sweet criminy. What a deal. You could eat for a week off of this. The best part of it all was how great it tasted. I couldn't stop eating it when I got home. The corned beef was excellent - tender, not chewy, and just enough spice to it. Even if it meant being stuffed all day, it was entirely worth it. The Reuben sandwiches here are amazing; they are warm and loaded with flavor, and as everyone has said, fantastic portions! Sure this maybe in a "sketchy neighborhood" and they lack modern luxuries like "chairs" and "tables", but they pass the savings onto you! I usually just sit by the curb right outside by the dumpster, make sure you wear your dirtiest pair of jeans so you can feel "in character" as you chow down on your amazing sandwich. Do yourself a favor and wash it down with a tall can of Arnold Palmer, it compliments it perfectly! One of my favorite places to eat in Northeast Ohio, I can't recommend it enough! read more
