Ordered online for a quick lunch and when I went to pick it up I was met with the friendliest staff! The online ordering was easy and my lunch was ready way before the designated pick up time. I ordered the italian panini & wow was it delicious! The portions were large and I was able to save half a sandwich for lunch tomorrow! It's such a cute little lunch spot I will have to make time to dine in. read more

I stopped in for lunch and was immediately greeted by a super friendly woman at the front counter who offered some great recommendations since it was my first visit. I was excited to see a great selection of soups, sandwiches, salads, and pitas on the menu. I ended up ordering the falafel pita and a small matzo ball soup, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they carried Poppi, the gut-friendly soda, which is always a plus. And I treated myself to a little baklava as well. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The falafel was flavorful, the pita was soft and warm, and the soup was comforting and well-seasoned. Overall, a great spot with friendly service and tasty food. read more

I visited Niko's while working in the area. The reviews were solid, so I drove a little bit to get there. Upon arrival, I seated myself and a waitress visited me with a menu and took my drink request. I went with a Coke. I've been on a gyro kick lately, so I requested a gyro wrap, which comes with potatoe chips. A few minutes later, my gyro was delivered. It had red onions, tatziki, and traditional gyro meat. It was served hot and it was delicious. I would definitely request that wrap again and if I'm in the area again, I'll do just that. Good stuff! read more

Lunch at Niko's Sandwich Board in Akron, Ohio was delicious! My husband found this place after we visited Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens! We both had the Walnut Crunch Salad and loved it. I also had The Pita Delight and it was absolutely amazing! My husband had the Reuben and he said it had good flavor but the bread was over toasted and hard. I rated 4-stars only because our water glasses went empty and that's a pet peeve of mine when dining out. read more

After moving to Akron I finally found a sandwich shop. I try them before through Grubhub but I decided to check the physical store today and I was not disappointed. In a city with a lot a chain restaurants it's nice to find something so unique to Akron. Food was outstanding and it is a very clean, cool place . Kind of tucked away. Everything always gets lost in strip malls. Worth finding. read more

Just tried to go there. We walked in maybe five tables in there. It's a small place. Been there before food is usually very good. The server we had run us menus, and water. Then two other couples came in and sat down. She proceeded to take their orders before coming to us and when I said, excuse me, but we were here first she was argumentative and disrespectful! Not I'm sorry thank. just too bad. So my table left angrily! Will not go back until you get better servers. read more

The food and serivce is good. It's small inside but has a comfortable feel. It's a nice neighbor cafe. The cheese cake is very good, not overly sweet like most. Try the Akron Serendipity. read more

Great corned beef sandwich! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!! Very fast service. I always take my order to go.

Loved it. Great sandwich deli that's does what it set out to do properly. I'm a big fan of places that know what they do and then do it well and Niko's hits that mark. Grab a lunch at a cool spot just outside Montrose and the chains. You may need to find this spot as it's behind a drugstore and auto parts store but parking is easy and convenient once you get back there. read more

One of the best sandwich shops ever--you must stop in. I had the Capacola wrap, it includes Genoa salami, cucumber, jalapeño relish. It's spicy, but you ask for a reduction or elimination of the relish. It was so great. They also have the classics too. It's more of a Mediterranean style shop. The staff is great; once you come here--you will be back, I know I will. read more

Best soups and cheese cake in the area!! Nico uses everything fresh and homemade including his salad dressing!

I had to run an errand in the area on my lunch so I checked ubereats to see what was nearby. Found nikos and saw that they had a French dip in the menu which is a favorite of mine. Placed the online order around 12:15 and headed over. Since I was only about 5 minutes away I waited in my car for about 15 min before going in. The lady said it would be a little longer and that I could sit on the bench and wait. Well I waited, and waited some more. Couple other guys came in and were waiting as well but they eventually got their orders. I saw another to go order sitting on the counter but figured it wasn't mine since the girl didn't look at it or at me. I had already given my name at that point. After seeing the order just sitting up there while everyone walked by it, I finally got up to look at it and asked if that was an order for Cheryl. The lady said yes, it is, but you need to give us time to get to it, which didn't make sense since she had walked by it several times already. Overall, I waited inside for 35 minutes after waiting 15 minutes in my car, so 50 min to put some bland unseasoned beef on toasted bread and throw two different kinds of chips on top. Also, half of my chips were crumbs. The au jus sauce was the best thing I got. For $13 I expected a better sandwich too. The person made excuses about being busy, but wasn't apologetic about it in the least. Definitely won't order from here in the future. read more

This place is a hole in wall that I found with plenty of sitting. The employees were so kind, helpful, and definitely know their menu well. The menu is also vegetarian friendly. I got the Mediterranean Toast Panini and the falafel. The Mediterranean toast panini was really good and definitely worth a try. The falafel was a little dry, so make sure you get extra sauce. Overall, I highly recommend especially if you are a vegetarian. read more

A reddit post said they had the best soup in town and i hadn't been there so I went today and was not disappointed! YUM! I had the tomato basil soup and it was AMAZING! Probably best I ever had...no cap. Service was also great, very attentive, friendly, and quick.Highly recommend! read more

I found this place through a google search. I been wanting a good soup. You know that wholesome soup that grandma prepares to feed your heart and soul. That was what I was craving. There I was...scrolling through suggestions, and boom I see it. The soup I needed. The search was over! Curiosity hit when I found Niko's. I go to the site and came across the matzo ball soup. I couldn't stop reading the reviews and staring at the beautiful pictures. I had to go. And I did! I didn't hesitate to get the half sandwich/soup option. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint me. Everything I conjured up in my head, about this soup was satisfied beyond measure. The pure flavors- were out of this world- My taste buds exploded with excitement! Every bite of the soup- every bite of the sandwich- Devine I tell you! You have got too come here! This place is literally in my back yard and I had no idea... but thanks to google it's now in my favorites and I'm definitely coming back! This picture doesn't do justice, sadly I was so induced in pure bliss I forgot. This was what I could grab before I ate the rest! Don't forget to grab a dessert! I got me a slice of baklava! read more

Mannnn I love Niko's!! Everything here is so fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad item but my absolute favorite is the strawberry salad with their sweet homemade dressing. It gets busy around lunch hour so some patience is (I'm sure) appreciated. You can carry out or dine in here. Today I got a turkey club on 9 grain bread that was super tasty, and the strawberry salad! Keep up the great work guys! read more

Poor service. The lady working at the front was very unprofessional and made a racial comment that was uncomfortable.

We have been searching all over the greater Akron area for a great Ruben/Corned Beef sandwich. I'm happy to announce that the search is over. This place is amazing! We ordered a Ruben and a Summit sandwich along with matzoh ball soup. We seriously got some good old fashioned 'Lou and Hy's' vibes. Tried this nice little sandwich place with my husband because we wanted food for a picnic. I was so happy to see they offered vegan cheese and many of their sandwiches/wraps can be made vegan. We both got the Niko Goes To California and it was absolutely delicious. You get chips and a pickle as a side, too. We were both filled after our meal and would definitely be returning to try their other sandwiches. read more

For a mom and pop place the service was pretty terrible. I'm currently sick and was wearing a mask when I went to pick up my food. I preferred to handle my card rather then the worker to limit her exposure. She said "you shouldnt say that around black people". I'm clearly wearing a mask but she wanted to turn it into a racial thing. Yikes read more

A walk in to order a Reuben Sandwich for take out. Quick service. Average kitchen time for prep. Got it home and that's when problems noted. Container had sandwich, cut in half, an unnoticed dill pickle buried under potato chips. When I went to eat the sandwich at home, noticed the following, didn't even see that they had included a pickle, about a quarter of the chips were uneatable, by being soggy, the bottom of the sandwich was also soggy. It appeared that they put a lot of wet sauerkraut on the sandwich. This soaked the bottom bread of the sandwich, and soaked some of the potato chips. The sandwich was very under grilled. The corned beef was not very uniformly put in the sandwich. I won't be back. read more

I made a comment before, but it was deleted. I had been going to this place since it was originally called the sandwich board. As of recently, Niko has doubled all his prices on everything and ia giving you half the portion when I asked him about it. He was argumentative and extremely rude. I know several people that have stopped going there he does not care about the customer at all, shame on you, Niko!!! read more
