Visited Penn Station with my wife for the first time in a long time. We were attending a nearby…read morefootball game and we needed to do some shopping and eating beforehand. Wifey chose Penn Station. Walking in, we were greeted by the staff and we stared at the menu for a few minutes. I requested a hot Italian large sub and wifey requested a small turkey club. They began making our sammiches immediately. When we approached the register, a staffer distracted the cashier and others by asking them questions about a spill on the floor and then mopping it up. As such, the cashier did not ring us up immediately. But she handed us drink cups anyway and we got our drinks from the fountain. After that, they delivered our sandwiches to our table. Then more customers arrived, which distracted the staff even further. After we finished our meals, we were wondering if they were going to let us pay. After about 15 minutes, the cashier asked my wife to come over and my wife paid for our meals. My hot Italian sub was pretty good, but pretty much every Italian sub I've ever had was better. So I don't really recommend that sammich. Our fries were cold. I should have asked for fresh fries, but I assumed everything was made to order. Nope! My wife didn't comment on her sammich, which means it was just average. Well, I guess I've seen what I needed to see. Jersey Mike's, DiBella's, and Jimmy Johns do this sub thing better.

Had high hopes for this place but have to be honest...both BF and I agreed that it's like a 3.5…read more Portions are rather small, prices are high and the wait is long. The menu is very limited and there are so many upcharges. I do appreciate the happy hour pricing on weekends too though. Presentation is nice though. I ordered the confit wings $20 and they were really dry and so very un-confit like. I wanted to try 2 different sauces so the server said I can only do that if I get them on the side. But I know other places have much crunchier, juicier wings even plain. The sauces were just okay. No side of ranch and wish there were some carrots thrown in. Bonus points for having some fun board and card games stocked that you can borrow from the front! That was neat! BF is friends with a worker here and he was great! He was effusive, warm, solicitous and really helpful. If we go back here, it'll be for the brunch since that menu looked more interesting. I've been here in 2024 for The Watson speakeasy as well so very familiar with the area.

My friend got the Farmers Daughter cocktail and she liked it, and said it was strong. We both got the Breakfast Burger + truffle tots w/ Parmesan (instead of fries). The quality of the meat was very good! It was interesting because they automatically cook it medium unless you want something different. I wish I would've asked for medium rare, but I just went with what was the norm. I wish the burger patty had been seasoned more. But other than that, the burger as a whole was really good. The truffle tots were amazing. The server was really attentive and nice. Another server came around to top off our waters. Overall it was a great experience! The restaurant is huge inside, with sleek and bright vibes. They have a big outdoor patio as well.

I can honestly say The Blue Door has earned a place among the very best meals I've ever had. What amazed me most wasn't just that every dish was delicious--it was that every single plate had its own identity. Nothing tasted repetitive or safe. Each course was thoughtfully composed with bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and combinations I never would have imagined working together... yet they absolutely did. Beyond the food, every plate looked like a work of art. You could tell the kitchen artists take immense pride in presentation without sacrificing flavor. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. We never felt rushed, and every recommendation was spot on. If someone asked me where to experience one of the best dining experiences in Ohio, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I'd tell them to drive to The Blue Door in Cuyahoga Falls. This wasn't just dinner. It was an experience.

It looked like it could have been good if it hadn't have sat out so long before it was brought to the table. Potatoes were cold. Toast was cold. Quiche was cold. The server, on the other hand, was incredible. He was attentive, friendly and a true star in our bad food experience. There were two of us, and the total for breakfast plus two coffees and tip was more than $70. Portions are huge. Ambiance was nice. Sad it didn't knock it out of the park.
