    Smash Burger

My husband and I came here on a Friday night a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. The restaurant has a board game theme and gives you the option to pay a fee to play their games. The selection is extensive. We opted not to play and to just sit at the bar. The bartender was fairly friendly and made some helpful recommendations. We chose to share a salad with house-made white French dressing, the chicken papri-tots, the smash burger with chips, and added their homemade chip dip. They split the salad in the back so we each had our own plate. That was a nice touch. As for the dinners - neither of us was impressed with the papri-tots. The meat was very dry and the flavor was just ok. We didn't finish them and didn't care to take them home with us. The smash burger was really good and we both enjoyed it. The chips and dip were also tasty. The menu had a lot of good choices and I think we'd come back to try some others. The interior was spacious and there was lots of parking available.

Brunch We stopped here to get brunch from reading other reviews. You walk in and seat yourself. Then you scan the table code for virtual menu. We ordered a breakfast burrito, kids hamburger, kids Mac n cheese and French toast dippers. The menu seemed creative. The breakfast burrito was good but spicy. It also had potatoes in it and on the side. I wish it would have come with a salad to embrace the brunch concept. The kids meals seemed small but and they ate it all up. The restaurant has a game theme to it with lots of games to play. They have a family section of games and then a larger section of other styles.

Nice inside Nice servers and hostess You can play MANY board games - $5/person We had the pretzel charcuterie board, a beer and a whiskey. Everything was good ! If we lived closer, we might come back

So many games to choose from!

Randomly stopped here while driving through and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the shredded jackfruit sandwich and enjoyed every bite. There were a few other vegetarian options which was refreshing. Also loved all the games! Wish we had more time to hang and play. If we'l ever find ourselves in the area, we'll stop by!

My first time here and it did not disappoint! I got a summer drink, the blackberry basil lemonade, which was light and refreshing and I also got the smoked peach Cobb salad which was also really good !

I don't venture out too much this way, but it's a nice little spot in Wadsworth. We stopped out this early Sunday afternoon for brunch. I had chicken and waffles, the wife had some sort of scramble (can't remember the name) and the boy had the breakfast burger (with egg on it). The food was good. I'd eat here again. My only complaint was the pop was flat. I didn't press the issue, it can happen anywhere. The neat thing about this place is you can play one of their 1,000 board/card games. Some days it's free, some days you have to pay $5 to partake. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were not bad either. Eat here if you're out this way.

    Wall of games!

Great wings. Great drinks. A menu that changes seasonally. What is not to like of this converted bowling alley??? Nothing. Go check it out.

5 dollars per person to play 5 dollar games... this is crazy... food choices are horrible. No wonder the bowling alley is closed

Servers that were there moved on to other employment opportunities. People grow older, for some retirement is in their sights, sadly for some retirement is not by their own choosing by whatever circumstances. Some small establishments are passed to family member that will with all heart keep that business going and thriving. Some Proprietors have no one to pass their legacy to, and others pass it along with hopes and expectations that do not come to fuision. When someone takes over a small business their goal is sometimes not to make changes too quickly then to the detriment of the business some want to quickly make changes. Some changes chase people away. Hodges Cafe had a glorious heyday. Hodge was always a friendly face ready for nice conversation or life advise. The Hodge Burger was award winning in this area; people still crave them. Friday nights were great for a Hodge Burger then walk it off with a walk to the theatre for a movie (now closed) then walk back to Hodges for beers. Sad that most of the neighborhood establishments are gone now. Barberton had quite a few neighborhood places that could be safely walked to from home. It seems to now be a rarity that people can pass along anything and expect the recipient to love it with as much heart as the giver. Your public misses you Hodge.

Nothing super major went wrong, but many little things added up to a not great experience…read more First, the restaurant was colder than we expected, and the bathrooms were absolutely freezing. It was a cold night (20 degrees or so), but I was surprised the restaurant it self was chilly. I'm not usually cold, so it was surprising. Second, I ordered the "Build an Entree" and chose the pork chop and broccolini as my side (it comes with two sides, but I asked for extra broccolini because of my diet). The pork chop comes out covered in this glaze that I find out is a bourbon glaze, but there are onions in it. I cannot eat onions at all (allergy), and nowhere on the menu is it listed that there is a glaze. The broccolini was cooked but was no longer warm. I mentioned these things to our server, and she said that their pork chop has always come with that glaze and it is mentioned on the menu. I asked to see a menu, and the only place the pork chop is mentioned is in this "Build an Entree" section, and no glaze/sauce is listed. The pork also looked slightly undercooked for medium, but maybe that's just me. They cleaned off the glaze and reheated everything, and the food was good. My wife had the salmon and very much enjoyed it. Finally, the check came and everything was priced 4% higher than the menu prices. When I inquired about that, they said it was because of credit card fees, and if we paid in cash, they would remove that fee. I understand the need for credit card fees, but it's not listed anywhere on the menu that they have such a fee, and the fact that it came out with such a fee built in already makes me question whether or not they reduce it unless someone asks specifically. All in all, it just wasn't the quality experience we were hoping for on a date night. I don't think we'll be back any time soon.
