Hands down our favorite breakfast spot yet since our recent move to Ohio! We absolutely loved everything we ate and the staff was just beyond amazing. We came Valentine's Day morning on a whim...had the chocolate covered strawberry hot chocolate (yesssss) and coffee, a big breakfast of eggs, spicy gravy, meats, and potatoes, and the Amish toast which was pure heaven. We came back again on Fat Tuesday for the crab cakes and shrimp and grits. So awesome! It was also clean and inviting. Can't wait to come back!

I keep going back to this place because the food is absolutely fantastic--everything I've tried tastes amazing, and it's consistently delicious. That said, it seems like they've switched to cheaper flatware recently; the handles have rough or sharp edges that uncomfortably dig into my fingers and hands while eating. It's a small detail

Chicken fried steak (I ordered two, one on top of the other), scrambled eggs with cheese, English muffin, and homemade waffle fries.

Edit: Returned 1 year later (1/2/26) and the chicken fried steak gravy was so bad I couldn't finish it. Tangy in the wrong way, lighter in color than last year, and just straight up didn't taste good. The eggs were overcooked and dried out, and the home fry potatoes were passable but I couldn't eat much of it. To their credit, the service was friendly and attentive and they comped the plate. I hope to hear from Valley that they communicated with the old chef from January 2025 and consulted him to bring back the legendary chicken fried steak that once was.

This is like mom's cooking. Aunt Jemima's syrup, blueberry pancakes, thin bacon, drip coffee. Solid, not over the top. Great to bring kids or grandma. Service was very good, really appreciated my servers friendly attitude. Casual local eatery with no surprises.

A little late on my review but took my mother and my fiancé here and I've been begging to go back ever since. Atmosphere: it's a cute little diner bustling with customers and amazing servers with a sense that reminded me of the country hospitality I am used to. Lively, adorable and inviting in a comforting way. If it's your first time, it won't feel like it. Food: we got a pitcher of mimosas and it was strong and delicious. My fiancé and mom got Ruben's that they both loved. I got a crispy chicken sandwich but I believe it had bbq and no cheese so I got it custom with bacon, cheese, Mayo, etc. (pretty much made it a crispy chicken club that they should DEFINITELY put on the menu because it was the best I've had in a 30 mi radius). I'm telling you if I didn't live 20 minutes away, I'd be there twice a week no doubt. This is THE PLACE.

Diner lunch, with the soft snow falling in the window. #LoveIt

They have plenty of seating inside and a number of board games available but we just opted for dinner this time. It wasn't loud or dark inside so it was a nice place to have some good conversation with friends and not worry about hearing one another, haha. As for food, we ordered the giant Bavarian pretzel with added beer cheese dip to share and I went for the falafel sandwich with sweet potato tots ($3 upcharge) for my meal. The pretzel was delicious...I enjoyed both types of mustard as well as the cheese dipping sauce. I'd get that again for sure. The falafel sandwich was good but a bit dry - it was better once I asked for a side of hot sauce. The tots were really good but I didn't feel like it was a ton for the upcharge. My husband ordered the black & bleu burger with fries and enjoyed that as well. The service was great too - super friendly and attentive. All in all a tasty food choice in a good environment. Thank you, Great Oaks Tavern!

Service was friendly and the other couple seated near us were regulars and said they've never had a bad meal there. We ended up deciding to try the western omelet and a pancake with added blueberries and a biscuit on the side. After we ordered, the owner came and talked to us and said that they are famous for their eggs Benedicts and hollandaise sauce... If I'd have known that before ordering I would have tried one of those. He did bring us a little hollandaise to sample though and it was amazing! He also brought over a piece of baklava for my husband and I to try and we agreed it was the best we have ever had! Delicious and flaky and not too heavy...the owner said they make it without honey. My husband really enjoyed his omelet (it did look super fluffy and delicious) and my pancake and biscuit were good as well. They only brought out syrup packets though; I wish they had a syrup pitcher/jug but that's just personal preference. They also charged for the tap waters we ordered so that was definitely strange. Food was solid though and everyone inside was nice. I would go back and try an eggs Benedict and get some more baklava for sure! Thank you, Enchanted Cafe, for a nice Saturday morning breakfast.
