For example, if you'd like water for your table, you can find a carafe in the fridge and glasses on the counter to help yourself. Similarly, they appreciate it if you bus your own table. Reminds me of Luna Bakery in Cleveland! They're known for their organic ingredients and have a great selection of fresh hearty meals. They also have a delcious array of desserts. My friend who is gluten free loves their desserts. I tried the Buddha salad bowl and it was filling and so healthy! Didn't try their drinks yet but would love to next time. I had a very charming lunch here today with my mother during the middle of the workday. This place is excellent. From what I could tell, everything is made from scratch and their Facebook page is informative as to what items were sourced locally. You can taste the quality in the ingredients they select. The menu turns over daily. I ordered a soup and had a tea on the side and my mother ordered a Buddha bowl with delicata squash and a green goddess avocado dressing. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. You feel welcome here, which is a good sign at any restaurant. The interior of this spot is full of natural light and is charming. It was fairly quiet when we went, which I enjoyed. I felt the food was high quality, very tasty and healing. You could get coffee and maybe a small snack there from the fridge but it looks like they are down on food from covid.. The good news is they take to go orders every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They customize very interesting meals! This place is not necessarily vegan, but does have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free food to eat. I recommend keeping this place alive and checking it out sometime. They seem to care about the food and also what is in the food. I bought a few snacks from here and they were amazing. Our initial breakfast stop was under staffed and backed up so we decided to drive up to this place as it's listed as open and still shows their menu items. There wasn't a car in the lot when we arrived so we thought We were in luck. The place smelled strongly of food prep and we got greeted by what I assume is the chef here who informed us they don't do dine in anymore. We said that was ok we would get some coffee and try and find somewhere else to stop. He then tells us he can't make coffee for us. So it took a while for us to figure out how to order here. You order at the counter up the ramp. You can serve yourself a free bottle of water from the fridge, but if you take a glass of water from the dispenser you have to pay a dollar. The open kitchen is for classes, not eating I don't believe. As for the food. The Latte was generous in a large cup. They have regular cows, almond and coconut milk, no soy or oat milk. I had the baked oatmeal, which would have been quite good if it wasn't for the coconut milk pourered over it. Something about the slightly sour flavor of the coconut milk with the unsweetened oatmeal really wasn't appetizing. I took the baked oatmeal out of the bowl onto another plate and put a little Maple syrup over it and that balanced it better. The bacon was OK, not amazing but good. My companion had grits, which he also found to have an interesting flavor, unusual. By it and the end he really liked it. Definitely not the traditional breakfast menu items. I will come back. They had a guitarist on a Sunday morning. A nice way to start the day. read more

I love everything about this place!! Their menu is so healthy and caters to all those with food sensitivities. Gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, you name it! They are transparent about what's in their food and everything is sourced locally (Farms in Hudson, C-Falls, etc.). They are eco-friendly and have the option to get compostable to-go containers!! They will even compost for you if you bring them back. I love the vibe inside- very custom and cute furniture and seating. There are tons of plants and herbs growing. Okay so I want to caveat that I plan to go back and update my review, but in the meantime, here's my experience so far. I stopped in for some coffee on my way home after a hike. I didn't know exactly what kind of coffee drink I wanted to order, but I figured with their healthy/natural/vegan theme, they'd have some interesting options. I opted for an espresso that they grind in house with I think it was orange and cinnamon (I don't remember the exact flavors - they had a few different options like this). It's an interesting concept, but unfortunately it wasn't well executed this day. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes at the counter for this simple (or so I thought) to-go item. I think the tool they were using to grind everything got clogged. It was uncomfortable because there was clearly an issue going on and I kept expecting them to acknowledge it (apologize, refund the order, offer an extra item for the unreasonably long wait, or something) but they didn't, and I wasn't trying to make a fuss, so I just waited until it was finally ready and left. I can say it wasn't worth the wait, or the $5 I paid for it (yeah, $5 for a shot of espresso :/). BUT...the food looked and smelled amazing, so we do want to give it a second chance some time to actually sit down for breakfast or lunch - I'll just avoid the espressos. read more

I ran in on a whim to grab lunch today. I had been curious about the place on the occasions that I pass by and decided to stop. Inside is bright and airy with a lot of charm. The dining area was also filling up as I waited (a good sign). I opted for the Buddha Bowl of the day. I was really surprised at the length of time it took for a to go order, all in all I waited about 45 minutes. This is a really unrealistic time to have someone that is on a lunch break from the office to wait - especially for a to go order. The kitchen staff seemed totally unaware of the backup as there were several of us waiting for takeaway orders and tables that were waiting the entire time I was in the restaurant. There was zero sense of urgency. The food was just ok. I really like the concept including an every changing menu and fresh, local ingredients and wish that my first visit had gone better. I would be curious as to what they have to offer up on other days as the menu is very unique, and healthier options are a bonus. I am going to give an honest review of 24 Karrot Kitchen. I was attempting to respond to the woman who was promised some baking goods by the restaurant owner Kathleen rather recently since I think I was there when she asked. I can empathize with that person's frustration as well as a few others who may have had bad experience with the staff. For the most part, the food is good especially for those suffering from a chronic condition, however, I would like to add that the service is sometimes not good. The 3 key people who used to work there were very customer service oriented as well as most older adults. The co owner was the one who made people feel welcome. The owner it depends on where her mood is on any given day since she is the busiest of most of them, almost too busy that she never wanted to the one serving in the restaurant. She preferred catering which for the most part I have seen it go very smooth. The bigger problem was trying to juggle cooking classes which good luck with that because unless you don't work for a living, work near the place, or are a stay at home mom, the hours on the class are often weekdays at times when not many can sign up. Second, online ordering was ok with emails since you knew when to expect it. When trying that online revel website which should have been resolved by now, one can't tell what's going on with it including the cooking classes because it just got thrown together in a disorganized fashion. Also, I can understand why some think it's an unfriendly place. Since they hired this young woman who thinks she is special over many people, she is better for going behind the scenes like a dishwasher where she can't be seen nor heard. Bad gossip often comes from her mouth and when she contacts people, it's like she is trying to insult them. The other younger ones are pretty good. The only other thing that might tick people off is when they have a line of customers and the workers will sometimes not even pay attention that someone is standing at the counter like when 3 of them were huddling just gossiping about things. They can discisss whatever they need after the restaurant closes. Oh and there is nothing creepy about any of the customers like one worker there might think. Bad gossip is bad for the business and is not good at all period. Food has been good but it's time to either dismiss workers or get a process improvement in place to foster better employee engagement. read more

Can I get a woot woot for 24 Karrot Kitchen?! I absolutely adore it here!! I stumbled upon it looking for gluten free snacks for my son, and I have not looked back since! It is hands-down the most delicious, allergy-friendly, and freshest healthy eatery in all of NE Ohio!! =)) My whole family loves it there! They have options for folks following gluten free diets, Keto, vegan, or people like my husband who will just about shovel anything into his obnoxious pie-hole! ;) I love stopping by during my lunch break for a delicious salad and bringing in the whole fam bam on the weekends for the best breakfast/brunch around (duck eggs?! Say what?!) What truly makes this establishment so special though are the people working there. The owner Kathleen is an absolute sweetheart and an expert in health. She was so generous with her time in answering all of my diet/nutrition questions AND she's a food wizard because she made my picky-eater son actually enjoy vegetables. She truly did the lord's work with that one let me tell you he takes after his father's side. ;) The staff is fantastic as well!! So friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. I've been helped by probably most of the people that work there and am always impressed by how willing the staff are to go out of there way. I truly feel like I am family when I'm there (way more family than I've ever felt at the Olive Garden!!! So disappointed in an order I placed for my daughter's bridal shower. I stopped in a about 6 weeks prior to the event, spoke to the owner, Kathleen. She assured me they could provide me with muffins and some apple turnovers for my gluten free guests. She asked I stop by about a week before to finalize the order. I did as she asked, spoke to an employee who took me to where Kathleen was having lunch with the employees. No one wrote my order down in front of me. Kathleen asked the employee if he could do that. Kathleen said I'd have muffins and turnovers on the day of the event. My husband went to pick up the order on the agreed upon date. Imagine his surprise when the employee he spoke to didn't know what he was talking about! Again, Kathleen was brought into the transaction. My husband called me and had me speak to Kathleen. While she provided substitutions, she didn't seem overly apologetic and charged full price for the order! Stressful and disappointing! The guests did say the items were tasty. They may be good at baking gluten free options, but their business sense is lacking HUGELY. read more

As I talked to the lady on the phone, I began panicking. This isn't ice cream? Should I still order? I'm not hungry but I feel bad not getting something? Ahhhh?! In my social anxiety induced state, I ended up order $40 worth of food. I am single guy. My parents and siblings all died in a freak inner tubing accident and all my neighbors hate me. As I drove to pick up my food, I considered just keep driving down to Canton and start a new life in a far away place. But I persisted! I got my food, paid my bill, went back to the apartment, and had the BEST food I've ever eaten. I ordered a ton of food and I ate every single morsel of it. Very disappointed with chicken soup with wild rice. Broth without flavor, seasoning, carrots crunchy and little rice. Chicken in the soup was dry and barely edible. Why don't you use some thighs instead of the cotton flavored white meat? Came with a hockey puck roll, also without flavor or good texture. I make chicken soup from scratch and could teach you how to make a flavorful, rich broth. I paid $8.00 for a cup of soup that was awful.
