MOCHA GELATO - I mean WOW. It was so so so perfect. I was blown away. I could eat the whole tub which is crazy because it's so rich. I can't wait to come back and try literally everything. What a delightful surprise! We had business at the BMV next door and walked over for ice cream afterwards. I didn't know what to expect, so it was like walking into a little movie theatre wonderland. The decor pays homage to the location's previous life as a movie theatre, and there's a moving playing on the big screen in the background (hard to see in this photo). We walked in on end of The Little Mermaid and caught the first few minutes of Lilo and Stitch. It's summer kick off week here, so maybe that's why they're both beach-themed kids movies? But the star of the show (hehe) was definitely the gelato. All the flavors tasted fresh and flavorful, and the attendant was generous with the samplings. We decided on the chocolate hazelnut, coconut, and raspberry sorbet. Portions are on the small size--as one would expect from a Gelateria in Italy, but perhaps unexpected at an ice cream place in the US. Regardless, the flavors more than compensate. Just slow down and enjoy every bite. We'll certainly be back, maybe for a date night (and hopefully a non-Disney movie) next time! read more

Sunday afternoon at Dolce at the s. We had the S'mores cheesecake and a flight of sorbet/gelato: lemon, strawberry, blackberry, coconut, salted caramel & buckeye. Everything tasted delicious! The cheesecake was decadent. Our favorites were the salted caramel & buckeye gelatos and blackberry sorbet. The interior is amazing! Definitely a place to rent out for a party or event. They also have a large patio area. We will be back. read more

This place is just the cutest spot! We decided to "taste the case" with our large group and it was a fun , delicious decision. The young man that helped us was such a wonderful worker. Located in downtown Wadsworth, and inside the former Strand theater, this establishment serves fantastic gelato and coffee drinks. They even serve boozy concoctions! I highly recommend the affogato! After I ordered my affogato, I sat outside which was delightful. Enjoyed the affogato; smooth and delicious! Tasted great with the salted caramel gelato. The person who took my order was helpful, friendly, and nice. She was also doing a good job training a new employee. When you are in downtown Wadsworth, you need to stop here! read more

Dolce's has a lovely ice cream parlor appearance and the service of the lemon and raspberry sorbets are delicious. However, upon walking in with my 97 year old mother after some business in Wadsworth as a treat for her birthday, the noise by two boys (five and less) playing with the giant Connect Four was so loud that we could not have a conversation. We should have left before ordering - their mothers were totally oblivious of the noise and, upon speaking with another lady who came in after us said that the noise quotient is not permitted to be curtailed by the staff. If you want a nice conversation and some great treats and their are school children in attendance, don't enter. read more

Fun concept! This Italian themed café features all of my favorites: sweets, charcuterie, and wine. Try the Italian cocktails. The spritz comes in four different flavors! Desserts such as cannolis, gelato, and tiramisu will have your mouth watering. Choose your own meats and cheese for the charcuterie and cheese boards. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was very cheery and helpful. No complaints about the food or drinks here! Very delicious. We were there on a Friday night and place was pretty much dead around 630 but really picked up around seven with a lot of teenagers and families with kids coming in and getting gelato. The only thing I didn't love about Dolce was that it had a bit of a cafeteria feel to it. The fluorescent lights were super bright and the space did not feel intimate at all. There was no ambience. I wish they had turned off many or most of the fluorescent lights and just let the pretty chandeliers do the work. Maybe put in some booths and warmer decor? My husband and I would have stayed longer drinking wine but with all the loud kids running around and bright lights, it wasn't really comfortable for lounging and drinking. read more

A movie theatre turned sweet treat shop! This spot not only offers ice cream, cakes, shakes but also boozy drinks and treat! A spot to seek out for kids or adults. The inside was the perfect nod back to its original purpose while still having an updated interior for entertainment, relaxing, and games. There was also a side outdoor patio with tons of seating and string lights. Ice cream flavors all sounded intriguing and they even offered multiple gluten free and dairy free options! (Some of the best dairy free ice cream I've experienced) staff was all friendly and offered any samples we wanted to try before purchasing; also very patient with kids. I recommend making the stop because it is HIGHLY worth it! read more

Met my Daughter and son in law at Dolce and had never been inside. What a great place for my grandsons! We met after dinner to visit in this indoor old fashion ice cream parlor which had a small play area for them. This is a rare blessing! personally, i love Dolce, but i adore gelato. the texture, everything about it! the only thing i would change? setup a way for the espresso machine to be put to better use, the simpler lattes and cappuccinos are nice, don't get me wrong, but i'm afraid to think of touching a basic recipe with any personal preferences... I'm not usually one to go out specifically for dessert...I do it maybe 3-4 times per year and usually in the summer. I've been to Dolce 3 times in the last month, and it's because it's just so good. I've tried several kinds of gelato, and I also had their amazing tiramisu. I don't usually order tiramisu, but I heard it was good, so I had to try it, and I was blown away! My favorites so far have been the hazelnut gelato and the death by chocolate gelato, but everything I've sampled has been very good. I hope to try the charcuterie board soon. Do not waste your time or money. Get yiur self some Sara Lee frozen deserts...much much better. 4 peices of cake and a very small gelato to go was $30.00, it was worth about $8.00 total at best. Tiramisu had no espresso in it that I could find & the CAKE??? portion was mega dry. I could not find any cheese cake in the raspberry cheese cake and the crust was straight SUGAR and could not be eaten. I'm going to try to find a way to repurpose the boxed the "deserts" came in so maybe I can get something useful from my $30.00. read more
