Oh my, this little haunt is right up my alley. Great food. Extensive wine options. Knowledgeable staff. Inspired menu. The small but inviting space is lined with shelves of wines from around the world. They offer virtual wine tasting events and flight specials. It's a wonderful little place to meet with your gal pals or have an intimate little date night. Can't wait to bring the hubs.

Local winery in Fairlawn. The place is cozy and welcoming- it feels like a home. I have been here many times. This place is great to meet girlfriends for girls night and gossips, or see your boyfriend for a romantic light dinner, or you can stop and buy a bottle of wine. Actually, they carry diverse wines ranging from lower prices to very expensive wines such as Caymus. The menu is not rich but still you can choose luscious appetizers, delicious salads and tasty flatbreads. Also, you can throw a private party here and rent all the place. Oh, and I have forgotten to mention their friendly and attentive staff!! They always wait you with the smile and open arms. Check this winery out!

I happen to be a little partial to establishments that serve wonderful food and great wine close to home hence why 5 stars is pretty much required (though well deserved of course). The wine selection is great and each time I've stopped in I've received nothing but wonderful recos for wine...I tend to always drink the same but this place makes me try more & I've always been happy going out of my comfort zone. The appetizers can be light to heavy and they have dessert. So much more than what I would expect from a little boutique wine bar but I guess this alongside their selection would be why the place is packed every weekend and even weekday at times. Note - if you are in a rush (which I don't know why if you wanted wine you would be) but don't go here. It's a slow paced, take your time, hangout, meet friends (new or old) and have a relaxing enjoyable evening. Also don't be afraid to stop in after work, they have a small bar which if you just need that 1 glass to start a great night they can help you!

We then decided to split a pizza (sausage and banana peppers) and it was the perfect thing to get us full!! It was like a hidden gem for our girls night! We definitely recommend!! I had the spritz, which was good, but took over 30 minutes to receive even though we asked about it multiple times and everyone else at our table had received their drinks. My husband had an old fashioned which turned out to be only 5oz. The glass was not even half full. We all thought this had to be a mistake considering the cost and how poorly presented the drink was but the manager assured us that they measure properly. I think they should include this on the description because for $13, we were not expecting such a small drink. Our friends were not impressed with any of the drinks they ordered, either. My friend specifically ordered a double vodka shot in a short glass but received it in a tall glass, therefore watering down the drink. As for food, we shared the marinated feta appetizer and the charcuterie board. Both were good but the charcuterie only had one serving of meat (salami) and the rest were olives, peppers, cheese and grapes. For $19, we were expecting a little more. One of the cheeses, the largest portion, was a very spicy pepper cheese that none of us really enjoyed. The dip was very good - no complaints. We also ordered three pizzas. Our friend got the chicken pesto which he said was ok but nothing great. My husband got the short rib which he enjoyed. I did a make your own, which had literally no flavor at all. The crust was good but that was about it. I suppose that's my fault for picking the toppings but I thought it would taste better than it was. As for service - it was very slow and they were very inattentive. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it. I think as a restaurant that advertises for its drinks and pizza, both were lacking.

OK, whatever, they were busy. We were overcharged for our wine by a $1, but we let that go. The thing that annoyed me most was that they weren't even serving wine in the right glasses. There are red wine glasses and there are white wine glasses; You're a wine bar - serve it in the proper glass. So maybe it's just that one night when there was a crowd. Sadly, no. Went after work last week and only four other patrons. The three guys hanging out with owner all had red wine in red wine glasses, but the guy next to me got red wine in a white wine glass. So apparently they're just clueless. Or perhaps they were saving all the red wine glasses for friends of the owner. As far as wine selection, thumbs down. Maybe 20 whites, total. There are many, many restaurants with better selections, such as Papa Joe's, the Bistro in Kent, that will even serve your wine in the right wine glass -- imagine that! To be honest, I don't get the sense that they're taking their business seriously, more like, "Hey, let's open a wine bar! We don't know jack about wine or the service industry, but it couldn't possibly be THAT hard, right? We'll print up the wine lists on the home computer and put them in these 3 prong cardboard folders left over from when the kids were in middle school. Piece of cake."

It could have been better…read more I had been to Café Arnone a few years ago when we first moved to Akron and remembered it fondly, so I suggested it when meeting a friend for coffee last week. When I arrived around 1:00 pm, the café was quiet. There was no one at the counter, so I walked around to find someone and ask where to sit since the space has more of a café feel on one end and a wine-bar feel on the other. I was told to order at the counter and sit anywhere. I sat in the front area to wait for my friend. Once she arrived, we went up to order. I asked about a menu and was pointed to a sign on the counter. Since it was my first visit in a while, I asked the employee what she recommended, and she flipped the sign to a breakfast sandwich called The Sal. I ordered that. I then had to ask about beverages, as none were mentioned. I only wanted water and was directed to a carafe on the counter to serve myself. Our food came out within a few minutes. The presentation was a little disappointing. I chose the vegetable side, which turned out to be two carrot sticks and two celery sticks lying in a small puddle of water. The sandwich looked good, but when I took my first bite, it was overwhelmingly salty. I understand bacon is salty, but this tasted like an excessive amount of salt had been added. After a second bite, I brought it back to the register and asked if it could be replaced, which they did. My disappointment wasn't so much in the mistake, but in the lack of acknowledgment--there was no apology and no follow-up to ask if the replacement was better. The restaurant wasn't busy, and while I'm sure they have many regulars, the lack of greeting when I walked in and the lack of follow-up stood out to me. I did appreciate the wall of ancestors--it was a nice touch--but overall the service felt disengaged. Maybe it was an off day, or perhaps inexperience from a young staff. I may try again in the future, but this visit fell short of expectations.

Still no one there. After a few minutes, someone came out. I ordered the pepperoni pizza. It came in square piece. The dough was thick. I can't say it was anything special, but it tasted OK. Sauce, cheese and dough seemed fresh. I thought it was expensive for the smaller size of it. I'll have to try their other offerings next time I'm around.
