Braciole. Flank steak marinated in tomato and stuffed, w/cavaletti pasta

This Braciole was spot on great. In house made pasta. So tender. So good and tender! The one negative was the noise throughout the space, no one's fault but wow an issue for sure. My aunt got the swordfish which she said was incredible! Ella was our server and wonderful as well.

This is the third year in a row I went here before the candlelight walk/ birthday dinner! It's now a tradition. The food was amazing. I had the acorn squash. The staff is just as amazing. The atmosphere was so lovely. Thank you Vue for an incredible evening!

Food was good, service was excellent, but the acoustics create a very noisy room. Would like to see the noise issue addressed.

With that being said Filia is a fantastic place to sit and drink wines in a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The building itself is an old Victorian house with several rooms to sit and enjoy wine. If you visit in the summer they have a barn where there is live music and tables set up outside around a fire pit. The wines are really good. I am not a dry red girl myself but found myself enjoying the dry reds. They do have some grapes out front and when we went to check them out the owner offered us some to taste. They were amazing. We got the 10oz samplers and they come in a handy carrier so we could get them to where we were going safely. The only thing I could say I didn't care for at Filia is the pricing of certain items. They do have a cheese tray, with an option of chocolate. You pay $10+ for a plate stacked with a sleeve of crackers, a block of Kraft cheese and a chocolate bar that they pull out of a jar on the bar. There is no beautiful or delicious looking presentation, which I think should come with the price. Otherwise I will just take the wine home and purchase some cheese on the way. If you enjoy wine I would suggest you try this beautiful place out!

OK, whatever, they were busy. We were overcharged for our wine by a $1, but we let that go. The thing that annoyed me most was that they weren't even serving wine in the right glasses. There are red wine glasses and there are white wine glasses; You're a wine bar - serve it in the proper glass. So maybe it's just that one night when there was a crowd. Sadly, no. Went after work last week and only four other patrons. The three guys hanging out with owner all had red wine in red wine glasses, but the guy next to me got red wine in a white wine glass. So apparently they're just clueless. Or perhaps they were saving all the red wine glasses for friends of the owner. As far as wine selection, thumbs down. Maybe 20 whites, total. There are many, many restaurants with better selections, such as Papa Joe's, the Bistro in Kent, that will even serve your wine in the right wine glass -- imagine that! To be honest, I don't get the sense that they're taking their business seriously, more like, "Hey, let's open a wine bar! We don't know jack about wine or the service industry, but it couldn't possibly be THAT hard, right? We'll print up the wine lists on the home computer and put them in these 3 prong cardboard folders left over from when the kids were in middle school. Piece of cake."

They have inside seating and a nice wrap around deck. But no real food. You can bring your own which is good. They only have some cheese and crackers and chips. They have a wine selection and it's white, reds, and fruit wines. The descriptions are a bit subjective. I tried the rose and the apple. Rose was better than the apple but just ok. Apple was not. I thought it was counter to the description. I didn't want to try any more. I am sure if I tried more I'd like 1 but I didn't want to keep going it was a school night. Service is at the counter. Order and find a seat. It's pretty simple. Overall just mediocre.

My friend and I overstayed and we were never kicked out (sorry my guy, the wine was flowing so the convo kept flowing) I had a sauvignon blanc to start which was crisp and delicious. The ambiance is cute with a few different tables and a communal table for couples/ singles. Bottles of wine adorn the built in library walls and it does seem cozy. I love the original typewriter in the bar area. We sat at the shared table, pulling up QR codes for the menu. We had to flag the only one person serving the entire bar down so that we could order drinks and food. She took our drink order, and then probably about 30 minutes went by after we were eyeing her left and right, it was clear to us that she was too busy or not making eye contact because she couldn't keep up with what was happening. Or at least I thought. After watching her have a full-blown conversation with the other person working there up at the bar area, we finally were able to get some food in, as my bf flagged her down. Olives for $7. A couple had pits that they missed I guess. But only about 12 olives total. Absolutely ridiculous. The BBQ chicken flatbread? Perhaps not. The dough was like a matzoh cracker. The chicken tasted like bland boring boiled chicken. After having been there for about 45 minutes with no food and only a couple of very strong Manhattans that were not well made, I was starting to get loopy so I wolfed down the flatbread even though it tasted like garbage. While I think this spot has a lot of potential, the service was so lackluster in the cutest of little towns, I would not come back.
