I ordered the Hen Solo--just a biscuit and a piece of chicken--and honestly, if you've ever had a certain famous fast-food chicken biscuit, this is the elevated, hand-fried, house-made version. The chicken was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the biscuit? Flaky, buttery, and clearly fresh. You can tell by the layers alone. One of my favorite touches was the butter bar--whipped butter, honey butter, maple butter, plus jellies ranging from classic to bold (including habanero and even ghost chili!). Such a fun and thoughtful detail. My friend ordered the Silence of the Hams, a playful take on eggs and ham: a fresh flaky biscuit, fried egg, two generous pieces of grilled ham, and melted cheese dripping beautifully over the sides. Comfort food done right. For dessert (because how could we not?), we shared their famous Vicious Beignets--stuffed with cinnamon-cream cheese filled, layered in a bowl with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries. A side note I appreciated: on my previous visit, I noticed they offer a full gluten-free menu, which my husband (who is gluten-free) enjoyed tremendously. On our way out, I chatted with Jonas, Director of Operations. He was genuinely excited about our experience and even gave me his card for future questions. He also let a little secret slip--Medina is getting a Vicious Biscuits soon!
