The final coffee of 2020 for myself was yesterday evening at cardinal cakes and coffee! This is a relatively new bakery/coffee shop in the cutest little building in Copley. I visited towards the end of the day, so most of the bakery was gone, including the jumbo cinnamon rolls that they specialize in! But I got a fabulous raspberry stuffed croissant I ended up eating to ring in the new year. They have quite a simple menu drink wise, with plenty of cold brew flavors, and hot coffee. I got a cinnamon cold brew with oat milk and it was the perfect end of the year drink. If you ever find yourself in the Copley/Akron area, this is a must try.

Wonderful coffee shop/bakery! I was so excited to try this place when it opened, and have been there several times since. It has been great to see them expand so much - I love to see local places thrive. Their baked goods are delicious and the smell when you walk in is heavenly. They have a full coffee menu with rotating speciality seasonal drinks and multiple non-dairy milk options. My oat milk cappuccino was incredible! You can sit inside or at a couple of small tables outside, or take your treats to go. I recommend the cinnamon rolls (they're huge and so good!) and the cake in a cup but you really can't go wrong with anything.

Cardinal cakes & colikeweieffee is a great addition to Copley! Much needed locally owned coffee shop with delicious pastries. I love the ongoing menu expansion, especially the new espresso offerings.

First visit this morning at this newly opened bakery and coffee shop. Excellent service! Fresh homemade pastries and delicious hot coffee. If I would have had more time, I would have sat outside at one of their tables. Brought some pastries and coffee home. By the time I received my food and coffee, there was a line of 6 people outside the door. It's been my experience that if there is any type of line, the food must be good. That was spot-on thinking for Cardinal Cakes and Coffee! Loved the almandine croissant and house blend coffee. Spouse said his cinnamon roll was amazing. Staff was working very hard and efficient. Friendly and helpful too!

I got in there about 30 minutes before closing so they were pretty cleared out of stuff and they mentioned how they stop serving lunch/sandwhiches 30 minutes before closing so just a heads up on that. The service was great and the two ladies behind the counter were friendly and helpful. It appeared that some of their refrigerated items may be bought for sale and not baked in house but all their baked goods in that case were made by them and had a large selection of baked goods from breads, biscotti, bars, tarts, cakes, and more. it also looks like they offer made to order/custom cakes so that is pretty cool! Although not pictured, we tried several macarons and they had a subtle flavor, nothing overpowering which was nice. We also tried their mini tarts in lemon and cherry, as well as their apple crumble in phyllo dough. This was interesting and I have never seen it wrapped in phyllo dough. We also tried the carrot cake which after unpacking it, I do not believe it was made in house as it was part of the other refrigerated goods. Everything was light and pretty tasty. I would give this place a try if you are in the area as it has a lot of charm and variety of goods so I am sure you can find something you will enjoy!

Wow--this is a quick review to match the quickness of the service…read more I stopped by Breads of Fairlawn this morning, just two days before Christmas. Parking was easy, and the door was wide open when I arrived around 9:00 a.m. The line wasn't too long, which was impressive given the timing. As I waited, I noticed one of the many signs stating cash or check only--uh oh. I rummaged through my purse and managed to come up with $8.00. Whew! Just enough for what I was hoping for: a loaf of sourdough. I love sourdough. Mine was a complete failure back when everyone else mastered it during the COVID era. Since my husband is gluten-free, bread has mostly disappeared from our home, and when I do buy it, I usually choose small half-loaves for the freezer. But with Christmas here, I decided to treat myself to a full, good-tasting loaf--and I found exactly that. The sourdough loaf was $7.00, and they offered to slice it at no extra charge. I was also offered samples (which I happily accepted). I tried the Parmesan-crusted onion bread and immediately understood the hype. The crust was chewy, the cheese flavorful, and there was a subtle onion finish--perfect for snacking on the way home without dipping into my new loaf. Once home, I tried the sourdough. The end piece is always my favorite test bite, and it did not disappoint. The shop itself is cozy but efficient, easy to get in and out of, and conveniently located near Route 18. The aroma of fresh bread was divine, and the staff was fun, friendly, and incredibly helpful--even with the steady flow of customers picking up holiday goodies. I also learned they accept Venmo and Zelle, which is great to know for next time. They even offered me a calendar of their daily bread specials, and I noticed that sourdough is one of their regular daily offerings--very good to know. I'm really looking forward to going back.

Terrible, terrible service…read more I went into the store, midday, and was the only customer in the place. I had my infant daughter in her car seat with me. The single employee there was quite rude to me, and seemed very annoyed that I was there. I placed my order, and got very short answers from the employee. Again, it seemed as if this employee was annoyed I was even there. I didn't see the employee was his hands. He didn't wear gloves or use tongs/tissue paper to pick out my items- just bare hands. When it was time to pay, I inserted my card into the machine. The machine must've been acting up, as the transaction was taking a bit longer than normal. The employee said "I CANNOT LET YOU LEAVE UNTIL THE MERCHANT RECEIPT PRINTS." Ok, I understand the importance of receipts. However, those choice of words were a big issue to me. "I cannot let you leave" can be very triggering to some people. Like holding someone hostage... Not great customer service. Once the receipt printed, I asked the employee if the store had any bags (to help carry my two boxes.) The employee quickly said nope, turned around and walked away (maybe into the kitchen) out of my sight. He didn't say thank you or bye or anything. The whole reason I was asking for a bag was bc I had to carry both boxes as well as my daughter in her car seat out the door. It was hard to juggle it and keep the store door open. It would've been nice had the employee offered help- but he quickly disappeared before I could even ask for help. Again, poor customer service. The only reason I even gave it 1 star was for the brownies I purchased. The brownies are really good- although I'm not even sure they make them. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I felt very unwelcome and almost unsafe with the very few words that were actually spoken to me.

I was a little disappointed. Anyways, paid over the phone and showed up the next morning. He had made the s'mores. I didn't expect it and it was a nice surprise. My coworkers loved them.
