This is definitely a place to hang out while waiting for medical appointments, enjoy a sweet treat during a warm summer day, or meet friends for a light lunch and coffee. The food was great, the chai tea was a nice mix of spicy and sweet. My pastry was wonderfully balanced on the palate while still retaining a strong chocolate flavor. I saw some people criticizing the service as confusing, I guess that's understandable but I don't agree. When you order your drink, it comes out quickly so they most likely expect you to just wait a minute before grabbing it and your table number before going to sit down. The ladies behind the counter were nice and efficient and clear with directions regarding water and where to get the drinks and food. Like I said, I didn't have any problems with service or its directions. Not to mention they have 3 different kinds of spots to hangout and eat suiting your mood: a patio, a darker "dining room" (pictured below) and a bright gelato spot. Highly recommend! I will absolutely make this my Akron hangout spot.

The last time I went, I ordered a chocolate croissant and a Caramel Chameleon iced latte. The iced latte was so good that I grabbed another one to go! Something I really admired about this place on my last visit was how organized the staff was, despite being absolutely slammed. They knew how to keep the line moving and were all very friendly. *Some things to note: It can get very crowded, which limits seating. Because of the crowds, parking may also be tricky (though I've never had to leave due to not finding a parking spot!)

We were in the Highland Park area during the Akron Marathon, so we decided to take a walk down the sidewalk and we came across Angel Falls Coffee Shop. So we decided to stop in the shop to get a coffee pick me up. I am a huge fan of small mom & pop coffee shops because in my opinion they are more personable with their customers and always have the best atmosphere. One of the first things I noticed was the cute & cozy decor, they had seating, a small bookshelf with books to read while you drank your coffee, and the shop had a lot of cool pictures/memorabilia on the walls. They also offer homemade sandwiches which you can have heated, cookies/pastries, and you can also buy coffee and tea to take home with you. Now for the coffee we tried I had the Spooky Kooky Ice coffee which was a cookie dough flavored, it was good but I couldn't taste the cookie flavor. My wife had the Great Pumpkin, but her coffee didn't taste like it had any sugar in it and it wasn't very good. Lastly my daughter had the Fireside Chat which was coffee and butter rum, hers was the only one that tasted like what was the flavor. I also wanted to say that the owner whose name was Jim was really friendly, funny, and gave top notch customer service. So if you find yourself driving through the Highland Park area of Akron and you need a coffee pick me that will not put a hurting on your wallet, take a stroll into The Angel Falls Coffee Company.

The people are incredibly friendly, not only the workers but everyone who was there which shows the audience this cafe attracts. It was awesome to see the wide arrangement of drink options from hot to cold to energy infused drinks with Red Bull. They also had a TON of house baked goods. Scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, strudels and more. They even have lots of various breads to choose from and cakes! They have inside and outside seating which is charming and simple. The food is great and the drinks are high quality and refreshing. The cinnamon rolls warmed up in the microwave were probably some of the best I've ever eaten. The cream cheese frosting is to die for as well as the strawberry rhubarb filling (I need a jar of it). Muffins are SO MOIST and great texture/flavors. I also really liked that by the cash register they had some pre wrapped baked goods that were slightly discounted meaning they were probably leftovers from the previous day or what not so I like that they do not waste! Overall, if you are in the area or a short drive away please stop in and you won't regret it!

My favorite drink is the maple cinnamon roll latte - a very unique flavor! The pastries can be difficult to choose from because everything looks good! Typically I stick with one of their scones. Their breakfast sandwiches are very good! The only problem is they stop serving them around 11:00 or 12:00 depending on whether it's a weekday or a weekend. The last couple of times I stopped in, I left disappointed because I missed the cutoff for the sandwiches.
