The Food has really gotten WAY BETTER over the course of the last 3 visits. The Jumbo Wings are really "jumbo" and seasoned really well. The burgers and wraps are consistently good and the dinner specials have been really good!! Kudos to the new owners for rebuilding the name in a small town bar and grill!! Stopped by for lunch on Dec. 26th. Ambiance was beautiful with classic Christmas decor. The food was delicious and didn't take overly long. It came out hot and fresh. We sat at the bar and I believe the owner may have been bartending. been going here for a little over a year, my families favorite restaurant, go 2-3 times a month. Food always came out quick and really good. new ownership bought it, first time back since then, food took almost an hour and a half, every table in the restaurant at one point had zero food on the tables. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap (fried) we get the food and it is grilled, decided to send it back and they sent (fried) again. server told us that the new owner doesn't want servers to complain until it's been an hour if a customer doesn't have food. One of the tellers at our bank said they had good Ruben sandwiches at Shelly's, so we needed to go & give them a try. So we drove to Doylestown. LOL we pulled up & recognized Shelly's. We had delicious burgers there before! Clean & unpretentious, with staff that are friendly & down to earth. Our lunch was enjoyable: Gyro for me (which was good) & Ruben for John. I am a bit of a Gyro snob so I prefer gyro meat off the spit. So if you are looking for a real Gyro don't stop here, but if you want a great burger, this is the place! read more

I'm going to give it a three "until next time". Service was lacking, food was on spot. Three is not a bad number, just normal. Our mozzarella sticks came out cold but where cooked right just sat too long. Server was busy. No silverware or straws with food and drink until we went and asked. The server was young and pleasant she seemed just too "green" to be on her own. Kitchen started to bring out the food it was fantastic. It's clean and tidy family oriented. Service was typical and nothing to complain about. I had the mozzarella sticks and I think they sat in the order window a tad too long as they were near lukewarm temperature when it got to the table. The create your cheeseburger is a bit lacking. I'm pretty sure the overly large bun was stale or improperly toasted. The bun had no color so I think it more so stale than improper toasting. The meat seemed unseasoned. A basic salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder and garlic seasoning would elevate and complement all their burger offerings. Wednesday afternoon after group with the church ladies of Crossroads nondenominational Church (definitely recommend this church) What a wonderful surprise. Chicken wings are great. Had the teriyaki sauce, even the hubby liked them! Ordered perogies, too. A little tough, but loved the potatoe filling. Had the steak fries ( I was very hungry) and topped it off with Boston Cream Pie, which I took to go....day before my birthday. Very good. The food was very good and well presented the low ratings is because of service. We were not locals so people who came in after us were taken care of first. They actually got there food and were gone by the time our order was taken. I had to ask how soon we would be served. Visiting from Los Angeles and I happened to stop by Shelly's for dinner. I would highly recommend the wings and the house made chips. Their fries are also good but not nearly as good as the house made chips. It's obvious they made the chips fresh and in house, perfect thickness and seasoned very well. For the wings I would recommend their in house 10 spice rub, I can't remember what it's called, it was incredible. The wings were of great quality but the rub was really good. Had a really nice time, watched the Ohio State game with a big group. Friends had some great wings, daughter liked pulled pork sandwiches. We eat plant based and they accommodated our crazy diet, great taco salad (without meat and dairy) and great nachos( without meat and dairy that they were willing to make for us). We just tried this place for the first time tonight. Our waitress Ashley was a total rockstar ! We haven't had that great of service since before Covid. She was fast and attentive, and great personality. Great little home town place. Great place to just have a drink and appetizers or a full meal. Best part is we are only minutes away! We will definitely be back! And like the other reviews said, great fresh cut fries. Our only issue was it was a little chilly, so be sure to bring a jacket. read more

Shelly's Uptown Grill is clean and has a nice decor, but the meals were subpar. I ordered 6 barbecued wings. The wings were meaty and the sauce was flavorful, but the center temperature of the last 2 of the 6 wing were cold ( like refrigerator cold). The tator bombs were more like tator duds. The the centers of the 6 tater tots were a mash potatoes consistency with with traces of cheddar cheese. Couldn't taste any bacon in the mix. The Cajun Chicken Pasta was terrible . It had mushy penne pasta and the chicken chunks tasted like canned chicken pieces. My wife's mac and cheese with chicken tenders tasted fine ( the elbow noodles were firm and the cheese was flavorful). The tenders were tasty with a crispy outside but moist meat inside. The thing that really bothers me is that the waitress asked us how our meals tasted after 5 minutes of serving us. We told her about the problems with Cajun pasta. Her remark was " Oh, I'm sorry about that", while clearly seeing the pasta dish only had two bites out of it. That was it! No offering another dish, discount, ect. read more

I go here at least once a week because it's a short walk from my house. They have great food for a reasonable price. My favorite is their french fries and wings but everything I have tried was delicious. The service has always been friendly, helpful, and fast. When there is a big game the place is usually packed and a good atmosphere to be in. I've never felt more disrespected in a restaurant before coming to this place. We sat at our table for 30 minutes when an employee who was off her shift came up to our table. I noticed her drinking with friends at the bar as soon as I walked in. She was clearly not working tonight. She came up to us and very disrespectfully told us we had to move tables so she could use our seats at the bar. What a difference with new owners, not only was the atmosphere so much better but the owners took the time to talk to us. I am so excited that the new owners will be offering breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until noon but will also be serving sausage gravy with biscuits. The service was great.
