This restaurant was very clean. The service was fast, friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the walleye dinner. My wife had the Reuben. She said the Reuben was one of the best she's ever had. Becky, our server, took great care of us and made sure our drinks were full all the time. read more

Wil's Grille & Pub - Walleye dinner - Pubs Near Me - Barberton, Ohio

The food was great....lightly breaded fried perch, sweet potato fries, coleslaw and I also ordered a cup of clam chowder. It was good but just a tad too thick for me! However I would still order it again. Our server was very good, cheerful and funny! read more

Outstanding fish and chips. Excellent service with decent prices. Highly recommended for anyone in the Portage Lakes area

The steak sandwich was delicious and the waffle fries to die for! Wil Be Returning! Can't wait!!!

Fresh perch, all the food, and excellent service! Chicken was good, clam chowder is excellent! read more

Wil's is a very popular Portage Lakes pub and grille. Prices are great and affordable as is the food and the portion sizes. Service couldn't be better and the staff is so friendly and outgoing. Wil's has just been sold to the owners of The Industry in Green on Arlington. Unlike Wil's, The Industry is a very upscale and expensive restaurant. The food is good but it remains to be seen if it is worth it. Personally, I cannot afford to make it a habit. I need to keep it for very special occasions. The fear amongst us regular Wil's crowd is that we will soon be seeing the affordable pricing and great menu being replaced by the more upscale owners. If that happens, then another affordable restaurant for seniors and the older crowd will have gone the route of so many others. Wil's has been around a lot of years and has survived the highs and lows of the restaurant world. They MUST be doing something right. My pleas to the new owners is if it's not broke don't fix it! Let us continue to enjoy our little out of the way local hole in the wall Thank you for listening. read more

The staff and the owner are amazing people. It's a great local hang out and the service is fabulous. For a fun night and some good ole fashioned fish dinner it's wonderful. read more

Decent food but pricey for a bar. Service is very good though. Pretty much all food is deep fried. read more

Wil's is legit! Such a gem in the neighborhood! The fish and chips were fresh and wonderful! Everything I have had has been great!

Stopped for fish. Did not disappoint. Amazing service, owner adorable, waitstaff amazing. Cute restaurant, aimed towards the community. Wil stops at every table. No complaints I heard. read more

Whoa! I'm in shock and saddened by the turn around here. We've been regulars for years. Now the food is awful and the service has slid right down the same slide! Won't be back. What a shame! I loved this place. Wish he wouldn't have sold. It's no wonder the amazing staff and cooks left. The food is not even edible :( read more

Excellent food !!! Great service !!! Highly recommend !!! Great neighborhood bar - even better food.

Will's Grille and pub is a neighborhood staple. It's a cozy setting with some outside space as well. I particularly like the high booths and enjoy the friendly banter between the servers and customers.. All of the sandwiches are quite plentiful and the salads are huge , but lack any particular distinction. All of the dinner items I have tried have been successful. To be truthful, I have not heard any negative comments from anyone . I would rate Wills As a reliable, relaxed, and tasty experience read more

Great service Broasted chicken was fantastic. Mushroom and Swiss burger was great also. Sauerkraut balls and rolls yum! Will be back. Owners were very friendly as well as all staff read more

Broasted chicken is always dry. It's like chewing leather. The to go sides are about one-third the size of what is served at the table.

What a pleasant experience. We got seated immediately, the food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

We Love Wil's - great hamburger, Friday's perch and walleye are excellent. Small quaint - we pretty much stick to the above. I will say it's not cheap - but we don't mind paying for the quality. Not much of a bar selcecrion if you are looking for craft beers or bourbons - but if you want a solid meal and don't mind paying fair value then this is the place. read more

Been to Wil's a few times the last year. We enjoy their daily specials, particularly the liver and onions. I can recommend their fried chicken and fish dinners, and you have to get their Cole Slaw as one of your sides. The service is good. The place is small with the dining area and bar sharing one room. As a negative, I think their pricing has gotten a bit high for the atmosphere and type of food they serve. Having said that, Wil's remains a good choice for an evening meal. read more

Food is good. And service is good!!! The Friday fish is amazing! My only gripe is that the FFs are soggy!!!

Don't bother Busser brought me a Iced Tea and after 15 minutes and watching three other tables after us get waited on we left Find someplace else read more

Typical mom and pop bar on State Route 619 in PORTAGE LAKES. The food is good little on the higher price side. The place does do a very good business and is very clean. Very peaceful, little corner, bar, and restaurant. read more

We went for Friday night fried walleye and the fried fish did not disappoint. Nice portion, moist and tasty. My sister had her's sautéed and the skin was burnt and it was dry. I suggest for these gluten sensitive guests they add butter, spices and throw it in the broiler wrapped in aluminum foil. The sauerkraut ball appetizer appeared to be commercially sourced as they were not sauerkraut-y tasting and dry. Finally the coleslaw was tasteless. I doctored mine with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper . Overall the reason we went was for the fried walleye and it was good. They could up their game in these other areas though. But the place was packed so I guess folks are happy. read more

Found this place by searching Yelp, glad I did. Smallish place with a great staff and very good food. We were in town for a couple of days only, but would definitely go back if we were locals. We had the fish and chips & a burger. Delish! read more

We ordered 2 cheeseburgers Jo-Jo's cold slaw cokes and cheesecake. With tip 60 bucks. The burgers are frozen and we're super dry. Everything else was just ok. Super pricey for an overall disappointing meal. Won't be back. read more

Great quality food at modest prices. The fried chicken is the best around. This includes (Barberton chicken)

Have been by this place hundreds of times and finally stopped in. Very small inside so when you get a good crowd there and only one waitress apparently things can get hectic. Not really a place I would bring my kids again just due to the overall atmosphere but not holding that against them. Appetizer sampler was crap except the little firey strips of chicken with cocktail sauce for dipping. Fish and chips were pretty good. Good portion of both and hot when coming out. Burger was good. Grilled cheese was good. I feel like it was all overpriced overall for what you got. read more

Ordered two grilled chicken salads and two grilled chicken sandwiches with fries to go. Bill came to $60.00. That's right, sixty bucks. Chicken sandwich was dry and tasteless, small portions, barely any chicken on the salads. We had high hopes because of all the positive reviews but it was awful. We will never go back. read more

Awesome place! All homemade food and super sanitary! Perch and French Fries are awesome!

Came in for Saturday date night with the hubster. We have been before and loved it so we decided to come back. This is a great little ole whole in the wall joint that the locals are familiar with. They have a small dining room and a tiny patio area. What they lack in size, they way exceed in variety, quality and atmosphere. They have daily specials and reasonable prices. The interior is a pub/bar style with dining. Tight space but somehow still comfortable and charming. The staff is ALWAYS so welcoming and excited to see you (reminds me of Cheers). Most days you will even be checked on by the owner! I decided on the New York Strip dinner. My husband had the Cod dinner special. The rolls were so yummy! Our food and beverages came out quickly despite all tables bein occupied. My steak was cooked to perfection..no steak sauce needed. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. Sorry I can't second that opinion as fish is gross in my book lol. Would definitely recommend locals and even non-locals to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

What a great little place. The staff is always cheerful and attentive no matter how busy they are. Varied menu which I have tried numerous items of but the broasted chicken , oh man I haven't had broasted chicken since the old Brownie's restaurant days and this is just as good. I'm a discriminatory eater and to me it's about service, attitude and taste. This place fits the bill read more

Friends of ours went here recently on our suggestion, because we've gone here for years. The food was always good. One of the women ordered some fish, but she didn't like it. She said she'd pay for it, but the owner went nuts and yelled at her, "There's nothing wrong with that fish! It cost me a lot of money!" Everyone just sat there, shocked. Then he sat at the bar and glared at them. We won't go back. read more

The food was edible. The food is extremely overpriced for the amount of food you get. I personally would not recommend this establishment and will not return. read more

Very friendly staff. Wil even sat down with us and chatted. Waitress was super friendly and promptly brought our drinks and food. Made a fresh pot of decaf for my dad. I had the black and bleu burger which was tasty and on a great bun. Very nice size. Always have a good specials menu. Fried chicken is very good. My parents love the cole slaw and rice side dishes.
