Great burgers and some of my favorite fries ever. We have been there several times for there specials, from the crunchwraps to their Cuban sandwiches. Everything here is amazing.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Partner ordered wings…read moreand I opted for the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty. The huge portion of fries was too much (but delicious nonetheless!) It's worth noting that they share a space with Magic City Brewing and when walking in, it wasn't immediately clear what we were supposed to do. The only bartender on staff wasn't particularly talkative/welcoming in the sense of explaining what was going on or how things worked ...and the Cult Kitchen staff are behind a window past the bar. (I dont necessarily blame CK for the MCB bartender, but they're choosing to share that space and it's part of the experience so it seems like it's relevant.) We sat down at a booth and realized was a small table sign with a QR code for the food and drink menu. Below the codes is a small line of text that explains to go to the Cult Kitchen window for food and go to the bar for drinks. This isn't necessarily a bad setup, just had to adjust our mindset as it's more casual and in line with a food truck experience. ...like going up to the window more ketchup (it's in little lidded containers) for all those fries ...and cleaning up after yourself, as there is no one busing tables. Again, the food was very good but the overall experience was just lacking. It seems like it could be something really special if the hospitality and service was there!

Located South of downtown Akron just past all of the Bridgestone facilities KOB is a small dive bar on a corner. You enter through the side door and find a dark bar, which was fairly crowded, especially at the bar. Even though they put up some plexiglass barriers between tables I decided with Covid 19 it was better to sit out on the patio, which had four good sized tables. I headed out and grabbed a seat in the shade. Service was friendly, but a bit slow, probably due to the number of guests. The menu is the usual pub grub, so since it was Friday I choose the fish and chips, which is specially priced at $8.99. It took a while for the food to come out, but well worth the wait. The fish and chips comes in a basket with a nice portion of creamy crunchy coleslaw, a heaping portion of crispy battered pub fries and four nice sized pieces of fish. The fish was great, flaky cod cut thick with a nice beer batter expertly cooked. All of the food was well prepared with no surprises, just nicely made straight ahead food. They are not trying to be cutting edge or trendy. KOB has no real ambiance, other then being a dive bar, service was nice, but slow, however the food is good at a reasonable price. If you are in the area and hungry check them out.

Having tried a few places around Akron for cocktails, I resolved that Ken Stewart's was my best option (still a good one) but sometimes I just want a well mixed drink without all the pomp, circumstance, and prices of a steakhouse. The cocktail menu is quirky and overall solid, plus they can make any of the usual stuff, there's a lounge spot in the front that I prefer when it's available, and on all the tables are boxes of hilariously-outdated Trivial Pursuit cards. My favorite thing about it may be that they haven't plastered a 75" TV on every available surface--they do have TVs but they're ignorable for people like me who find sports uninteresting and commercials annoying. We like to stop and get snacks at Whole Foods or Swenson's on the way in, since they don't have a kitchen. So far they've always been cool with that. I just try to make sure I tip well because I like to take my sweet time when I'm there.

Our favorite is the Cajun and the Garlic Parm dry rubs. Service - Every time we've ordered from Old Stone Jail, it's always been fast and efficient service. The bartenders who run the food are always attentive and amazing multitaskers. Super sweet and friendly, definitely a pleasant experience every time we order or go in. Ambiance - lastly, let's talk about the ambiance! What a stellar way to pay homage to what your business was and is named after. Beautifully decorated to represent an "old stone jail", but not overly done where you're going to be overwhelmed. Not cluttered or anything in pleasing to the eyes! In the end, if you're hungry: stop by, take some pictures, order online, just do yourself a favor and ORDER FROM THEM! Cons: - Parking is limited, so if it's busy you're SOL - Busy intersections all around it, be careful

The place was clean with a couple of pay pool tables/several tables and a long wood bar. Bar maid was extremely nice and attentive! My wife got the Warden's Special burger with fries & I had the Chicken Philly Sandwich with onion rings. Rings were better than the fries. Of course we couldn't pass up the bucket of beer special for$10! For a little low volume corner bar it was not bad! There were at least 7 other people there sitting at the bar having a beer. It appeared to be a full service bar but the clientele were definitely beer drinkers! The food service was relatively quick. This is a place I would definitely go for lunch with a coworker or even for drinks with a buddy. Is this a date night? Maybe not ... but glad we went!
