    pizza i ordered

Food was warm and tasted organic. The employees were nice and willing to wait while i chose my order. The ambiance was a bit cold.

Passed by this pizza joint in the corner of Kits and was drawn to the delicious smell coming out of there. They serve Neopolitan style (thin, crispy crust) pizza which I'm a fan of. They have a few seats indoor and outdoor, and it was full of people grabbing a slice to snack on mid-afternoon. We wanted a whole pizza, not a slice. So we placed our order and was told to come back 30min later. The toppings and seasoning on their pizzas were tasty combos. We got: - Pepperoni Honey Basil - Wow, the whole family enjoyed this one. Just the right sweetness and the pepperoni was lightly crisped. - Pancetta, Pear, Arugula - This pizza got a bit too burnt on certain parts. The flavors were good if you like stronger cheeses and are ok with spicy; the pear helps curb some of the spice and adds a nice contrast to the rest of the ingredients. But we liked the other one much better. Overall, would come back again for more!

Buongiorno! La Ruota #2 finally opened up last week after months of delay & a recent nasty flood! "All things come to those who wait" as the saying goes - I guess. I've been to the original location on The High Street in Coquitlam a couple of times - located near Coquitlam Centre. Really enjoyed the authentic Neapolitan pizza there so I was glad when I saw signage go up advertising a new location here on 4th Ave @ Maple. Vancouver to Coquitlam can be an hours drive, depending on traffic so yes I'm mighty happy for this new location! Pizza is very subjective - there's a reason why Pizza Hut is still going strong decades latter - yikes! The way to approach pizza is simple by following this view - 'pizza is like sex, even when it's bad, it's still pretty good!' Hahaha! Now in regards to LRs pizza - I love it. But remember my taste will be 100% different from yours! Of note with this being a brand spanking new Pizzeria, the crew spoke with heavy Italian accents! Very impressive as I just didn't want Johnny from the local high school making my pizza! LMAO! Give LR a try when your next in the area! 4th Ave is full of restaurants & shops so walk about after a bite & burn off those carbs baby! Mangiare! Arrivederci.

didnt realize that Kits hosted such a vibrant and award-winning pizza place. Dont let its appearance fool you. Sure it looks a like hole in the wall and they sell by the slice... but the pizza that they make on site and sell is nothing short of Amazing! One of the best Neopolitan pizza in vancouver hands down. Crust was made to perfection. Perfect thin crust but held the toppings well. Real ingredients and not store bought ones. Edges of the pizza slighty burnt and crisp making it good to the last bite. Stone oven and a mini one at its side for small orders or reheats. Very rustic and had a homey feel..,like when eating in naples. The chefs spoke italian which is a good sign. They even have text messaging service To let you know when your pizza is ready - for those Ordering a whole pie. They will make you a new one if you order a whole. I had the calabaria. Fast and friendly service. I took away 1 star bec of 3 things. First, the display case was too wide open underneath...meaning a fly or bugs could easily get in there. 2, they offered a pizza with strawberries and olives on it. 3. No one was sanitizing the dining tables for dine in. The place was suoer busy for take outs. But overall, amazing pizza at an affordable Price. Not too oily but made perfectly. In my opinion, puts new york pizza to shame. Lol. Cheers! Happy eating!!

This is by far the best pizza I have been able to find around Vancouver yet. I usually get the prosciutto pizza or a simple Margherita. DELICIOUS!! Service was not the best when I went the last time. I do not usually eat inside though. Strongly recommend if you are in the kits area.

The spicy chicken and olive slice was the perfect mid-afternoon snack. Fresh and gooey with just the right amount of crunch and chew on the crust. Ample seating inside and out, with a nice bright ambiance. Next time I want to try ordering a full pizza.

SO. GOOD. Hand stretched dough in a brick oven, maybe that's why we can't stop stuffing our faces with these, and there is a constant (but fast) line when we were there on the weekend. We would gladly eat even just the plain dough itself as a flat bread if they sold it that way.

    Fresh and delicious

First pizza slice at this neighborhood , Went there had 2 slice ,pretty much good over all nice staff and organized place I recommend. Hope they keep going to serve best and improvement.

The service was also great, with multiple people checking in on us. The corkage, at $20, is very reasonable and the restaurant even comp'ed our tiramisu! We will miss it once it is gone. The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. That said, the toppings were generous, especially for the linguine crab that I ordered (would highly recommend!). Come by before they close permanently!

Creamy but not too heavy I wish it had more bacon but it was delicious all around. The daily special veal was also amazing. The veal was juicy and perfectly seasoned and paired with the creamy pasta was perfect. We ended with the panacotta which was fresh, fruity and light! Will definitely be back!!

My friends and I recently shared a few dishes here, and while the flavors were truly impressive,…read morethe portion sizes left us wanting more. We started with the complimentary bread, which was a total highlight. Each person gets a fresh slice that has an incredible crust and a soft, pillowy center--dipping it into the oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, the Gnocchi Asparagi e Funghi was my favorite - the gnocchi themselves were clearly handmade and had a great texture that didn't feel heavy. The earthy mushrooms and asparagus worked really well with the parmesan cream, which was rich but didn't overpower the other flavors. The Squid Ink Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was also solid; the lobster bisque base gave it a deep, savory saltiness that coated the clams, prawns, and scallops perfectly without making the dish feel too "fishy." We also tried the Candele Al Ragù D'Anatra. The duck ragu was tender and savory, and the combination of the parmesan fondue and aged asiago added a nice, sharp saltiness that made every bite really satisfying. Everything we ate was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so small because the flavors were definitely there. The service was excellent and very attentive; I especially appreciated that they were constantly on top of refilling my water throughout the night. The ambience also hit the right note, making it a great spot for a night out. However, the portions are definitely on the smaller side and aren't super filling. Even though every dish tasted amazing, we weren't full by the end of the meal, so it's something to keep in mind if you're arriving with a big appetite.

The seafood ravioli was tasty and I'd have it again. The pappardelle was decent although didn't have as much depth or complexity of flavour as it could've. The bruschetta, which was kind of like an open faced sandwich - a spread on bread with some prosciutto on top (no tomatoes in case that's what you're expecting!), was pretty meh and I wouldn't order it again. Service was nice enough. It's a cute, cozy spot in Gastown. Overall, it was just fine but given the abundance of great Italian restaurants in town I probably would go elsewhere when craving pasta.

The restaurant was cute, cozy, and could seat us right away so we decided to give it a try. We got the poached pear salad and enjoyed it! The pears were delicious and a very refreshing salad. It did come with burrata on top which was a bit disappointing since it wasn't gooey at all. For our mains, we split the pesto rigatoni and the special which was also a rigatoni with white wine, capers, shrimp and lemon. First off, the noodles are delicious on both dishes. They are clearly handmade in the best way possible. Very tender, delicate, and almost melt in your mouth. The pesto dish was perfect but again the burrata on top was disappointing since it was sort of tough/dry and not gooey. The special dish was very good but the lemon was quite strong. Initially it was a bit too much but it did grow on you over time and I did like the dish. We ended with a tiramisu and while it was delicious, there wasn't much of the bread/cake/cookie part as it was mostly cream. Overall, it was fun to try a new place but I expected a more for the price point. For $35 per plate plus salad and dessert it was a very expensive dinner and we weren't full.
