Another La Michoacana location! This one has been here awhile and is a 'premium' location. I'm not sure what the premium means but it is more expensive than the Chapman location. One complaint I have is that there are no labeling of the flavors for the ice cream or popsicles. So for those unfamiliar with Mexican flavors (and there are many interesting and unique flavors), you have to ask the employee. There was one person working when we visited. When we asked her to translate the flavors to English, she wasn't able to for several flavors. ‍ Also the menu board is in Spanish. I will not recommend at all unless You genuinely feel happy to be vomiting the few items I got... and don't care about peanut allergy negligence... I first came in and order "Fresas con Crema", and a chocolate covered banana I got to the car and started to each the Strawberries and the "crema" .... I went back and told them the crema was runny and tasted just like whole milk They apologized and tried adding La lechera to sweeten and thicken it up . Ok so I didn't eat the apple until like 2am at my Night Shift .. however the banana The banana was yummy . I asked with no peanuts (I'm deadly allergic) And I was given what I believed a non peanut banana . How ever there was a small piece of peanut on the end that was covered in chocolate But I understand running Buisness is gonna be hard and watching out for each piece of nut is hard . However I went back to see where they got it from and they have them all mixed in together They have chocolate covered bananas with sprinkle , coconut and peanuts ... not even attempted to be separated . Ok so now 2 am comes around . I'm on my brake and I have this big apple which I'm excited to eat .. i took one bite and when i tell you it's like biting into a block of salt with a hint of chili and a dash of TAJIN It's and understatement. It was an expensive apple somewhere like $5ish So I wasn't gonna waste it however I took the Stick out and took off 98.7% percent of the covering and after that my stomach sank . By 3am I had taken in so much water to try to wash down the salt but omg the only way was to forcefully puke it . Didn't want to drive anywhere, so yelped "ice cream," and La Michoacana came up. Walked in on a Saturday night (9pm) and there were quite a few people, however only one worker. She took her time with each customer to make sure the desserts came out nice, but that meant a longer wait for those waiting in line. As I was waiting I was super confused on what to get, cause nothing is labeled. I had to guess, and looked on yelp for help, but not much help on here either, cause no one has a picture of labeled flavors. I ended up ordering a mangoada since that seemed to be the most popular one. Ordered a small mangonada and the mango bits on top were hard and very cold. I wish the mango was less hard and more ripe, but everything else was fine. I did go home with a stomach ache, possibly cause it's a lot of sourness in one sitting. I recommend sharing the small if you can. If I ever come back I think I will like to try there popsicles instead. read more

Amazing staff and service, on my first time there was instantly greeted at the door and welcomed (very refreshing). Pretty much as soon as I stepped inside I immediately was impressed by how clean the store was kept compared to other michoacanas I've also visited. At first I wasn't sure on what to get because of all the options however they let me try multiple flavors and I finally landed on a cone of strawberry ice cream. In terms of the product, it was probably one of the best if not the best Ice cream I've ever had. It was a bit on the pricey side but I didn't mind at all because of how amazing my ice cream was I can really tell how much they focus on the quality. The gloved lady working the counter disappeared behind a door (I suppose to the restroom)and came back with possibly the same gloves on and proceeded to scoop ice cream for my son and I. I didn't say anything because I did not want to embarrass my son. She then proceeded to ring up our order with the same gloves on and when we left she went to the back. Probably to prepare more ice cream with the same gloves on. In an age where we are dealing with a pandemic like CoVid 19, we shouldn't have to deal with incompetence like this. First off the price is way too high, for 2 items it was $14 I have been going to la michoacana for years in another area and $14 gets me like 4 items! The strawberries and cream is like strawberries with milk tastes nothing like the real one you get elsewhere, and the Tostilocos are not very good either I truly was disappointed with the fact it was overpriced and not even taste like the original thing.
