This spot was honestly one of the best parts of our visit for the Junior Olympics! They have a super cool variety of unique flavors and toppings, and you can truly tell the ice cream is made fresh in-house. I love ice cream.. a little too much if I'm being honest, it's my kryptonite. That said, Afters is a place I really try and avoid. It's too good! I'm also a fan of Ube, so when I discovered they had Ube I had to go. My favorites that I've tried so far.. ube, cookie monster and most recently the Dubai chocolate. My kids love Afters! They have a great variety of different flavors but the Cookie Monster is one of my favorites. This was my first time at this location and the service was exceptional! The service was quick; not that I needed it, but I was not offered any samples, which is something other customers were offered based on the reviews. My favorite is the Jasmine tea flavor, which is the light purple one in the picture so I had to get that. The only downfall of this location versus their other location is that there is no indoor seating. There are only two tables outside and they weren't clean. You can't go wrong with After's Ice Cream, it's probably one of the better ice cream chains. They always have a good and reliable variety of flavor selections. I was telling my out of town guests that they have a donut that they sandwich an ice cream flavor in between it and you eat it. So we wondered over to have a look. The line was out the door and the scene was chaotic but after 45 minutes we got inside and were looking over the menu. I tried every flavor to get an idea what I was going to order. I ended up getting the pistachio with cinnamon crunch. It was fabulous imo. My friends got basically the same as I except in a cup. The inside doesn't have any chairs to sit on so everything is order to go. The parking lot is big but there are many restaurants in the encompassing area that it can be tough to find parking at certain hours in the day. read more

This has to be one of my favorite ice cream spots in Fullerton! It is conveniently close to my house and has unique flavors compared to other ice cream places. Although each scoop is quite expensive, it's still worth every penny. My go-to ice cream flavors here are Cookie Butter, Mango Sorbet, Cereal, and Milk & Cereal. I go ahead and top it with mochi and sprinkles. It does get busy here a lot, but the service is always stellar. I coincidentally go when Braulio is working. He's very conversational and fast-paced when it gets busy. Tips: You can get samples of any ice cream! I wouldn't recommend going at night during the weekends because of how busy it gets. read more

I sampled this one as well as the Jasmine Tea flavor which is nice and subtle. The staff was kind to let us sample multiple flavors. The brownie flavor was really good when I sampled but as a whole cup it was heavy on sweetness and flavor. Overall, I'm still a big fan of Afters, they have such unique flavors, including Asian flavors, and have merch as well as pints of ice cream to go! I haven't had Afters in years! I remember when this was soooo big when I was in high school and college and I remember it being pretty good. My friend and I decided to give them a try since my friend never had Afters before. We ordered a 3 scoop to share and chose milk & cereal (my all-time fave), jasmine milk tea, and Vietnamese coffee. Ugh, I love milk & cereal! It was and still is my favorite flavor. I love that it comes with a free topping too. We chose the Afters Flakes, which the worker described as corn flakes lightly coated in butter. Jasmine milk tea and Vietnamese coffee also slaps! Super fragrant and creamy - I love that their ice cream really embodies the flavors instead of it being just a hint of flavor, you know? After a day of Disneyland fun & treats*, a glazed milky bun with ice cream from Afters was a great way to end the day. I enjoy their unique, seasonal ice cream flavors, but my favorite ice cream flavors are ones they have year-round: mint monster (green) and cookie monster (blue). The ice cream is good on its own, but the combination of a warm, glazed milky bun (similar to a donut) with cold ice cream and crunchy "afters flakes" is where it's at. I usually ask for the bun to be sliced in half, so I can swap half with a friend. This way, we each get to eat two different combinations. I used to frequent their original location in Fountain Valley all of the time when they first opened during my college days. There was always a long line out the door, but I still went almost every other day because I was obsessed. I ate 2-3 scoops each visit and had eventually to take a break for awhile due to health reasons. Nonetheless, many years later, I am SO thrilled to find out that they opened a location in Fullerton! We came here yesterday with our group. We got to sample a few flavors and eventually each got a single scoop of their ice cream. The flavors here are very unique and have remained consistent over the years. Personal favorites are: + Cookie Monster - loaded with SO much cookies, but beware it will leave your tongue will a blue residue! + Milk & Cereal - simple yet delicious. It's not overly sweet and it really tastes like milk & cereal but in ice cream form! + Vietnamese Coffee - if you love Cafe Sua Da, this is the EXACT same but in ice cream. It's super rich. + Jasmine Milk Tea - JMT has been my goto milk tea to get at a lot of boba spots. Afters did an an amazing job replicating that in ice cream form. They will add extra corn flakes to your milk & cereal ice cream if you ask for it. I believe it's complementary. I have gotten their donut ice cream before, but I don't recommend it. The ice cream melts fast and the additional sugar takes away the taste of the ice cream. You're better off with getting several scoops in a cup or cone! Overall experience here is great.
