The food was wonderful, the ambience was warm and festive, easily one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants.

Quaint French bistro off the canal. The service tonight was top notch. Everyone was friendly Spoke decent English but most important the food was amazing! Salmon Tatar, salad, swordfish with mashed potato's and raspberry tart for dessert. The perfect evening and the kitchen is open until 12 midnight.

A very good adventure for foodies , you got to explore The Canal St Martin and across it is this wonderful restaurant . Ive never been satisfied like this and ill rate all the food that i ordered as excellent . Our server was good too and the staff are attentive . Thanks for the home made " Profiterole " .

Alongside the Canal Martin there were several interesting places to eat. I almost stopped into the famous Hotel du Nord where some French movies were filmed including one named for the hotel itself. The dining area was deserted so found La Marine instead. It had been recommended by my hotel but was not a bit touristy. The Menu du Jour for 18€ had many great choices. I started with a Tartar of Avocado and Baby Shrimp which delicious along with a glass of Rosé du Provence. My main was Veal with Olives and Mushrooms over rice. This was quite good and the excellent bread helped sip up the gravy. Ended with a Café Noisette and an enjoyable short walk back to the hotel.

Very busy, service is lacking at times. But food is EXCELLENT! Good flavor profiles-the place is packed so try to make a reservation.

Our first meal in France after coming from the airport. I wouldn't say I was starving but this place was recommended by our Airbnb host to serve good authentic French brunch food. The atmosphere is nice, pub like setting, waitresses try their best to explain the menu in English. They have the pick 2 for 17 euros. Good portions for appetizer and entree. I got a cheese salad and steak for brunch and it was fantastic. Located right by the canal currently undergoing constructions, the view is meh, but has great potential. I recommend it for those who's looking for something inexpensive, this place has at least the basic items of a French cuisine.

Nice canal side restaurant , good service & decent food for reasonable value, 2 course lunch menu is a good option Either appetizer plus main Or main plus dessert

There are moments in life where you can sit back, enjoy a great meal alone, and take in all the sights from the nearby canal traffic, foot traffic, or street traffic. During that moment, you know that thru the noise, the distractions around you, and the forces of nature working against you, you have met the crossroad of perfection and delicious. Sit here at La Marine alone, or with friends and you will understand what it means to have the perfect meal. What you ask for is consistent time after time. The steak is prepared to perfection, and the potatoes are whipped to the perfect buttery texture you never knew existed. Come on by, avoid the distractions, and indulge in one of the finest meals you can encounter in life.

Cute bartender. The tomato, buffalo mozzarella entrée is so fresh and delicious, we inhaled it. Rare petit filet and ravioli TRES BON!

This place is not good, stale bread and terrible olives. Cocktails also bad, pretty sure this place is a tourist trap.

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

This fall (2026), I shall return to Paris and that dish is on my hit list for sure. In fact, I may order 2! Service was very personable. Small place but the largest table had 6 locals who livened up the joint. Americans planning to be in Paris Sept 28-30 hit me up we'll meet for din din. Zig

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. If I was mistaken, please post photos and just tell me that I was part of some elaborate joke to ruin a lunch for me and my wife.

That's not acceptable. The food, however, was. Hence my difficulty in giving one rating. Our 3 dishes tried were indeed solid. Generous servings of seafood in the bouillabaisse, and I have no qualms whatsoever with my cuise de grenouille and foie gras salads. Bread kept us alive. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
