They don't even put their name on the menu. Keep walking!

To start the service was horrible. She took forever to get us menus/clean off the table (like literally 20 minutes). And apparently since everyone in here is a tourist, they can get away with crap like- 1) not having escargot forks (toothpicks and she treated me like I was the idiot, even though I've NEVER been given toothpicks) 2) no bread with the escargot and soup 3) trying not to bring the carafe d'eau that I requested (in French) 3 times already. They played Celine Dion SUPER loud the whole time- I mean ok, she's fine, but can we turn her down or put something else on for 15 minutes? Everyone who was in here was a tourist- some Belgians came in, but they left after standing there for 10 minutes, ignored. The escargot was pretty good, so... still not worth it. And - everything came from the restaurant across the street- so cold coffee...10 minutes for the check... etc.

La nourriture est délicieuse! Omg the best restaurant I ate in Paris! Definitely a must if I come back again in Paris! Location: It is located 5 mins from Sacre Coeur! After visiting the church go here! The interior is a typical french restaurant, the outdoor dining is just lovely, real French experience! Service: omg she was so nice! She gave us a lot of recommendations, and explained well what is in the menu! Food: Everything was so delicious! Omg thinking about it I want to come back! ESCARGOT with BURGUNDIAN SAUCE: this is a must! There are 12 snails and that green sauce is so good! The snails are tender, I put it on a toast. BONE MARROW with TOAST and SALT: another favorite! The marrow was creamy and the salt complimented it! It is also good with the toast! BEEF BOURGUINON: my first one! It was so good! The sauce is delicious and the beef is tender, I wish I have rice! Lol SALMON with MASHED POTATO: the salmon is perfectly cooked and that sauce taste so good, the side vegetables are fresh. Price rating: 7/10, the price matches all the deliciousness! Not bad for a Parisian restaurant. I will come back here definitely when I go back to Paris. I will eat everything I ordered again! Get the escargot, it was the best!

My favorite authentic French restaurant in Paris. The food and the atmosphere are amazing. I've tried the boeuf bourguignnon, frog legs and French onion soup. While in Paris, I always dine here.

Sign from the street, can't miss it.

Did we love this place??? Wi wi!!!!!! I wasn't a huge fan of other restaurants we visited in Paris until we came across this fantastic place. It's a true gem in the amazing neighborhood of Montmartre. If you go to the church of the sacred heart, you must stop to eat here. The owner was very pleasant and it was a great dining experience for all of us. Decor-old world with lots of charm. It was small and quant, allows you to have a intimate time with the people you're dining with. Service-Great! They really took good care of us, completely different from other restraints. Service rocks here. Food-AMAZING!!! The best duck I'd ever had, and the escargot was also fantastic. I can't rave enough about this place, we really loved it. Large portions and large flavors. Very well done, come and see for yourself.

If you're a tourist stop in here! The service was great and the locals that eat here seem to love the food as well. We were greeted by a hostess and by locals which was nice. They are connected to the restaurant that was across the way as well. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the prices all seemed reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Very good service and lovely street seating. The escargot was delicious.. so easy to come out, tender and sweet. The sauce was also very good, especially dipped in bread. The goat cheese tart was served with a small salad. This was a bit heavy, but the outer layer was deliciously crispy which was a nice contrast to the gooey inside. The salmon was very good, served with vegetables and rice, topped with a very flavorful yellow cream sauce.

Located in Montmartre, this spot was one of two Yelp finds. We weren't able to find the first one so we ended up here on a Thursday evening. We arrived around 8:30 and were pleasantly surprised to have a table outside without a reservation. That said inside seating is limited. We had some in our party who never tried Escargot so we ordered some as a starter. Nicely seasoned and very tasty. Our server demonstrated how to extract the snails from the shell which was helpful & a nice touch & saved the shells from flying everywhere. We ordered the house wine carafe which was just right for 3 of us. For main, it was the Rack of Lamb & Beef Bourguignon as they are house specialties & were recommended. Also, ordered the Steak Tartare. Although hearty and would've been much better when the temperature is lower, the Beef Bourguignon dish was the best. Perfectly cooked beef in the rich stew was excellent. Next best was the Lamb which was seasoned and very good. We wouldn't order the Steak Tartare again-was bland from a flavor standpoint. I've had better. Our server was attentive and took care of us. Should have ordered the Foie Gras-next time!

If you are seeking amazing flavors, personable service and wonderful memories in Paris then I very highly recommend La Cave Gourmande! This is the best restaurant we dined at in Paris. We loved it so much we ate dinner here twice! The restaurant is located on the Rue des Martyrs; a great area with a variety of restaurants and shops but not touristy. As the restaurant is located near the end of the Rue des Martyrs there is less traffic (not a busy street for traffic anyway). We sat outside both nights and enjoyed the mild late July night temperatures. The wines are nice and not pretentious. The wine menu is not large but sufficient and you come for the amazing food anyway. The food! Everything was great! The (French) Onion soup was absolutely phenomenal; the best we've ever had. The foie gras was like butter; a first time try for me and it was amazing. The escargot, duck breast, frog legs, salmon, rib steak, rack of lamb - yum! Last but not least the manager/owner who served us was so kind, personable and joyful. He is a model for excellence in Parisienne business! We will absolutely return and recommend this wonderful restaurant to all of our friends and Yelp community!

We left La Cave feeling fuller and more satisfied than we'd ever thought possible- what hefty portion sizes! For our first night in Paris dinner we were so pleased- this was the best of our three night stay. For the starter, we had the frog legs, and they were so succulent and drenched in a wonderful tangy sauce that made the side salad scrumptious as well. My boyfriend loves chicken, so for him to say that these frog legs were better than chicken is a pretty big deal. For the main I had the beef bourguignon and my boyfriend the duck dish. SHARE THE BEEF!! It is the house specialty and it is absolutely fantastic. The dish is ginormous, by some sheer crazyness I managed to eat the whole thing only because it was so damn good and I couldn't bear leaving it. But it's definitely more than enough for two. The meat is so tender and juicy, it just melts in your mouth like a great beef bourguignon should. They slow cook it for 24 hours giving such a great flavor to it. The duck was really tasty as well! As we came rather late in the night almost right before closing, there weren't many people so our service was awesome. The mood inside the restaurant is romantic and classic small bistro with interesting decor. Would really recommend this spot!

This is the crispy goat cheese with honey.

We had ordered the rack of lamb and the crispy goat cheese with honey. The lamb was so fatty that there were approximately 6 small bites of meat on the bones. The lamb had been Breaded I'm guessing to cover up the fact that it was no meat and all fat. The mashed potatoes that we had ordered were cold and the vegetables overcooked as was the cheese. It was so over cooked it was the consistency of a dried out cottage cheese. It had a very strange layer in the middle like a wet noodle which was very unappetizing. The wait staff was friendly and attentive This was the only positive. This was our 1st bad meal in Paris

Terrible service, food is okay. Hard times just have hit the service industry here as anywhere in the world. Our waitress was noncommunicative, inattentive, and utterly incompetent. . avoid if you can.

My beautiful wife about to have her ribeye steak.

I was looking for duck breast and this place has the best in Paris, it was juicy, tender and delicious. The rib eye was done just perfectly medium. The side salad and veggies were fresh. Oh, and French fries were awesome. Service was very good, courteous and fast. We decided to sit inside as it was sprinkling and cold outside.

I was seated in the backroom which was all high tables and very quiet. Notre Pâté en croûte - This was great. A slice of bread with chunks of duck and other meat with pickled items on the side (which I always love!) and a little bit of lettuce. It is not like a spreadable paté. Capra (salade) - this was a large salad with three large fried goat cheese balls. I had to take much of it with me. It has a variety of ingredients which don't necessarily go together but you can mix and match with each bite. They have a QR code to their website for the English menu if you need. I was stopped at the door asking if I paid which was strange because the tables in my section all have QR codes on them to pay before leaving. Do Parisians not use these? Next time: I'll sit upstairs and try some other dishes.

The food was served tapas style, and they have deals such as getting 5 (or 10!) plates at a discounted price. Unfortunately, it was past 10 pm so a lot of places were closed. We were getting frantic trying to find a restaurant that was still open. We finally pinged this place on GoogleMaps. I have to say, this place is the definition of a hidden gem. It's a small French tapas place off on a side street that unless you were really searching, you would probably walk by it in favor of larger restaurants. I don't know if our waiter was also the owner or the sommelier, but either way, his English was limited. Luckily, my fiancee's sister speaks French so she was able to translate the menu (to an extent). As such, this was a tapas restaurant so everything was small plates and meant to be shared. I don't remember the exact name of everything we ordered, but I remember a Pad Thai, a beef dish, smoked salmon, octopus, and a fried dish (maybe calamari, but I don't remember). The food is excellent and packed with flavor. You'd be surprised how filling these little dishes can be. If you ever come to Paris, I recommend going off the beaten path for this little piece of heaven.
