This restaurant came highly recommended and we were overall pretty disappointed. Terrine (pate) - 4 stars. I don't care for terrine very much. I much prefer a pate foie but this was pretty good. Soup of the day - solid 3 stars, rich in flavor Beef Tartare- 2 stars. Not flavorful, just kinda meh. Steak - 1 star. Beef was super tough and chewy Veal stew - 4 stars. Creamy, warm, ans rich in flavor. Paris Brest - 5 stars. The pastry itself was light and airy and the cream was rich ans light at the same time. Cheesecake - 4 stars. Solid. Wine - 5 stars. Overall Experience - our serve spoke English and was super kind. The wine she recommended ended up being my 2nd favorite the entire trip..and that means a lot cause I was there for 3 weeks. Would I come back: Yes. General vibes were pleasant, service was awesome, but I'd 100% avoid the steak and beef tartare.

You don't really need a reservation. 1. Food: decent I was hoping for good food, but this was just okay. Steak - great Snail: great too, smell of escargot is nice and strong and it is with mushroom veal brain: horrible, definitely not for me, I am sure there are others who will enjoy it creme brulee: very good pear: compote is too sugary and did not like it cheese: meh. My first time having a platter that is not good 2. Drinks: wine is good, don't get mixed drinks 3. Interior: old school decor and feels like a bar interior 4. Service: slow but nice

Possibly the best meal we had in Paris. Dishes included a pumpkin soup, sorghum and veggies, the canardburger and tarte tatin. Piping hot, great flavors, well presented. Good wine list. Excellent service. We were there on a busy night for a book signing (Cafe Society). It was loud, but it's a small place and many in the crowd knew each other so perhaps more boisterous than normal. We walked back to our apartment in the 6th through the louvre courtyard and over ponts des arts and it was magical.

Wonderful authentic French cuisine. Our chef discussed our meal with us and even remembered our last visit in 2019. They open for dinner at 7 pm. Be sure to reserve a table in advance. It is a mix of locals with only a small handful of tourist. The menu might be intimidating for American tourist; however, you will be thankful that you tried any of the amazing options and especially the delicious desserts!

Whatever you look at, it's a very popular shop. There is even a Japanese menu. I used it by myself. I was able to use a seat with a feeling of openness near the window. There was a course where you could choose appetizers and staple foods, and there was a great deal of value. It was delicious above all.

I was totally satisfied with everything. The service, the food, the drinks and the price. The Service personal is very kind, polite and friendly. Even though my French is not very good I tried to order my food in French and the waiter kept me thinking that I'm fluent in French:) A Starter and a main plate cost about 25€ which is absolutely fair for the quality of the food. The escargot fricassée as a starter is very recommendable. The duck leg as main course was very delicious. Last but not least the interior of the restaurant is cosy and I would say typically French.

The only thing I enjoyed was the cute interior

Definitely a tourist trap! Someone else pointed most of my points out already, but I really feel like I should reiterate them. I am a Belgian, who has been living in the States for a few years now and occasionally venture back to Europe for a visit. It is Sunday today and so most of the restaurants are closed. With not too many options near my location, I chose to come here. The place was half full and all tourists. I should have turned back there and then. No locals = No good. Things that I found unacceptable: -Tables crammed so closely together that they have to pull them out to seat someone (no bathroom breaks for you..) -Dishes on the menu have numbers like some cheap take-out place (big no-no warning) -My dish (blanquette de veau) landed on my table luke warm at best. The pilaf rice was basically one big clump. A lot of fatty pieces too and bland flavor, if any. (My mom, who can't cook, made this dish better when I was a kid) -The bread was so stale I almost ripped some teeth out trying to take a bite I couldn't wait to get out. We went to grab dessert at another restaurant, which was simply amazing. Their staff was also a lot more professional. Prices at this place are above average due to the amount of tourists that go there. My tip: Just walk around in Paris instead of browsing the internet to find a place to eat.

This was a wonderful place to sit down and enjoy a long, traditional french meal. To start we ordered 6 escargot. I've had them prepped many ways but my friend has only had really small ones steamed and then dipped in butter. We were both really excited when we saw these 6 large mollusks in their shells, filled to the brim with melted butter and pesto. The waitress was really friendly and helped us use the utensils provided to remove the snails and we made sure to eat every morsel. Then we got duck confit and a filet mignon specialty that they were offering that night. The duck was cooked to perfection and the potatoes that accompanied it were delightfully crispy and seasoned. My only complaint was that there was not more! As for the steak, we ordered it "rose" or pink all the way through. Unsurprisingly, it too was very delicious and while I wish there had been a vegetable somewhere on the table, those potatoes au gratin were sublime! My french was a bit rusty but the staff was really understanding and friendly and even helped me teach my traveling companion a few sayings. We got a bottle of wine to accompany our meal and enjoyed a really pleasant 2 hours here. Definitely consider this place if you're in the 2nd district.

One of the friendliest service in town! For once, I was reminded that I am a visitor and really felt like I just walked over to have dinner at my local pub / restaurant. We dined on a Sunday night and the restaurant was quite busy As it was one of the few places that opened late on a Sunday. We were starving and was warmly welcome by a very friendly crew of staff. We ate out every meal in Paris and could safely say that this place has the best service. Food: great home made food and the 3-course meal is about euro30++ Wine: great wine list at about euro 5-6 per glass and the restaurant has won sommelier award. They have pretty large selection of wine to suit any taste. I hope to return again when we find ourselves in Paris next

Looking for a "French" restaurant on a Sunday in August pretty much guarantees that you will land in a tourist trap, but there wasn't much we could do since it was the only day i could have dinner with my visiting friends from other countries. After looking online for somewhere nearby their hotel, I finally decided on this place, despite knowing that the skewed positive reviews are definitely given my tourists who seems to eat everything in Paris with rosy palettes. And I was right. My friends claimed to have enjoyed the food here given that they are tourists and I thought the food was hardly passable. My chicken was extremely dry (poulet fermier) and I couldnt even finish it. I had a taste of the veal and it tasted like someone just threw veal in some butter and onions. At around 18 EUR per main dish, it's reasonable for paris but not cheap. They have menus in English and several other languages, and the servers all speak English. So if you are a tourist and you are looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday that has to serve French food, I guess drop by. If you are local, seriously, dont bother.

I was seated in the backroom which was all high tables and very quiet. Notre Pâté en croûte - This was great. A slice of bread with chunks of duck and other meat with pickled items on the side (which I always love!) and a little bit of lettuce. It is not like a spreadable paté. Capra (salade) - this was a large salad with three large fried goat cheese balls. I had to take much of it with me. It has a variety of ingredients which don't necessarily go together but you can mix and match with each bite. They have a QR code to their website for the English menu if you need. I was stopped at the door asking if I paid which was strange because the tables in my section all have QR codes on them to pay before leaving. Do Parisians not use these? Next time: I'll sit upstairs and try some other dishes.

The food was served tapas style, and they have deals such as getting 5 (or 10!) plates at a discounted price. Unfortunately, it was past 10 pm so a lot of places were closed. We were getting frantic trying to find a restaurant that was still open. We finally pinged this place on GoogleMaps. I have to say, this place is the definition of a hidden gem. It's a small French tapas place off on a side street that unless you were really searching, you would probably walk by it in favor of larger restaurants. I don't know if our waiter was also the owner or the sommelier, but either way, his English was limited. Luckily, my fiancee's sister speaks French so she was able to translate the menu (to an extent). As such, this was a tapas restaurant so everything was small plates and meant to be shared. I don't remember the exact name of everything we ordered, but I remember a Pad Thai, a beef dish, smoked salmon, octopus, and a fried dish (maybe calamari, but I don't remember). The food is excellent and packed with flavor. You'd be surprised how filling these little dishes can be. If you ever come to Paris, I recommend going off the beaten path for this little piece of heaven.

Unfortunately, it was too early for the tartare as they only serve that during lunch/dinner hours. So we ordered an onion soup, a dozen snails, and a cheese plate. The onion soup was really good. The cheese was nice and melty and slightly charred in some spots. I shared this with my husband but I probably could have eaten two of these on my own. The snails were great as well.
