    Enchiladas and beef burrito
    Win N.

I had a shredded beef burrito with mild sauce and my husband had enchiladas with chicken. My burrito was amazing - very flavorful and packed with beef. Husband loved his as well - said it tasted homemade! Super Casual with waitress service.

My first time here I detoured on the way home coming back from Florida just to try this restaurant that my nephew recommended to me, he said it was authentic and delicious! he was right and didn't disappoint me, I recommend it for those who love the authentic not a texmex nor California style don't take me wrong i like both but I prefer authentic

The restaurant is located in a business park area, so you need to keep your eyes open when driving to this location/FYI its a door down from Sieglers. Just to give a bit of history on my Mexican food background, I lived in San Diego for a year, probably ate Mexican everyday-it is so incredible here-no TexMex. I would go to Mexico some evenings for dinner, as the boarder was 15 miles from my house. I have eaten in many of the MY Mexi joints, so I think I have a grasp on the difference between good and bad. La Huasteca holds its weight with any on the best places I mentioned above. I have been there 10 times and if I was living closer, I honestly would be there 5 times a week. Everything on the menu is authentic-stone ground-honest ingredients and flavors. Try the Menudo, its not on the menu but is served Thurs-Sunday, I believe. The service is great, lots of Mexican patrons but dont worry as to any language barrier, servers speak English. Trust me when I say, you could throw a dart at the menu for weeks and never be disappointed.

Pork taco, chips and delicious salsa.

The Yelp reviews are right, this IS authentic Mexican food. Go here, try it, you'll want more. I do! As a business traveler I searched and found the best Mexican food in the area. The salsa was freshly made, with lots of juicy tomato bits, garlic, onion, and cilantro. I enjoyed the just cooked chips and wasted no salsa. I decided to have a pork taco which came with onions and cilantro. It's served on a soft corn tortilla and was the perfect bite. For an entree I chose the chicken enchiladas suizas, which had 4 enchiladas with shredded chicken, topped with cheese, a scoop of guacamole & a red sauce. Then a side of Mexican rice. I added some green salsa for a little more heat. Man these were good, served hot, with soft enchiladas and perfectly seasoned chicken inside. The interior was quaint, clean and comfortable. The service was very friendly from start to finish and food delivered in good time. I definitely felt this place was as authentic and original as you could get. Bluffton has a hidden gem here, and you should stop by. I certainly will return on future visits.

    Its all good!

We eat here at least once week for lunch. It was a great find when we moved here three months ago. We have our favorite dishes, but everything we have tried had been excellent. The staff is helpful, friendly and take good care of us. The kitchen is so clean, the floors are very clean. That's impressive! Reasonable prices, too. If the local Hispanic eat here, you know its good! We're about the only non Hispanic in here each time, and we will always return. Be sure to try this family owned place.

Best authentic Mexican restaurant in all of Hilton Head and Bluffton. Don't be fooled by it's small front location it is a fantastic restaurant great fresh food. My self and my daughter go every Saturday.

Front counter. You sit down and order. Small place. Authentic food

Come here for authentic Mexican food!!!! This is not Tex Mex. This place also does Gluten Free because everything is made right here. Open kitchen where everything is made to order. The chicken fajitas were amazing. Corn tortillas they must make to order also. Hot and tasty. Must ask for green hot sauce. It makes the meal even better. You will not be disappointed !!

This charming little spot was so worth the stop! They are kind of hidden, as the only distinguishing marker is the moniker on the awning above the small door. Dont let that fool you though because inside they have plenty of seating to not be crowded for the time we went (about 1pm). The staff was incredible friendly and on point! They were clean and the food was delicious. I dont know that ive had authentic Mexican but they have 4 years worth of certificates stating most authentic taco for the area! I believe it! The salsa was home made the guacamole was as well and I suspect the tortillas were! After eating there was no one in the restaurant aside from my family and my daughters got up and danced to the lively music playing on TV! It was a sweet moment! The best Mexican food we have had since moving to Savannah!

We were passing through Bluffton on our way back to Savannah from Hilton Head and swung into this…read moreplace for a quick drink. We were really glad we did. This is the cutest town. We only had drinks at Calhoun, but they did make me a GREAT spicy margarita. It was one of the best I've had. Huge thanks to the hostess who made it happen for me. She was great!

I've given this place so many chances bc they have live music on their cute little patio sometimes,…read morebut this last visit was the final straw. A little background: The inside usually smells awful, they need to fix the kitchen vent hoods but don't so they leave all doors open. The hostess is usually pretty curt and dismissive. Simple well liquor cocktails are priced the same as specialty. The food is disappointing to varying degrees every time. The prime rib is clearly (admittedly high quality) roast beef lunch meat. Fried chicken sandwich was dry and burned. Shrimp and grits were obviously instant grits with a bunch of kraft cheddar. Usually three strikes and you're out. But... On my last visit: a friend's band was playing and bestie wanted to go so one last shot. I ordered the whipped goat cheese and pepper jelly bc I figured it didn't need any cooking so it would be fine, and it was! But I asked for baguette instead of a corn waffle and got the latter. When I reminded her that I asked for a baguette I got an eye roll, heavy sigh, and didn't see her again until about 30 minutes later when she silently and without eye contact dropped the check on her way to another table without even breaking stride. I was going to order another drink for the end of the set! But whatever, all for the best. Thank goodness I had cash so I didn't have to wait another hour for her to run my card. Never again. Too many great options close by...where the same local bands also play.
