I was in need of coffee and sustenance early this morning before a flight to Indianapolis. Terminal 4's D gate has limited options but La Grande Orange looked most promising and convenient. I'd visited other locations years ago so I decided to give it a go. I settled on a Potato, bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito. There was a selection of them pre-made this morning on a rack so I grabbed one and headed to the counter to pay and grab a coffee. Obviously any time you decide to eat at the airport you're going to overpay but you already know that going in. At $15 this was a pricy burrito and with coffee came out to over $20. Having said that, I have to say it was a really quite tasty burrito along with some salsa. The coffee was just what the doctor ordered so overall I really won't complain since it all fit the bill. At this hour the terminal wasn't terribly busy so it was a pleasant enough time sitting at a table to eat. Service was ok, nothing out of the ordinary but friendly. Not much on ambiance but again it's the airport and it does what you need it to do. 3.5 stars bordering on 4 since I did enjoy the food and coffee. read more

After looking at nearly everything in the restaurant, I finally decided to go for a pizza. Unfortunately they were out of a few ingredients to make the pizza I really wanted. I opted for the Gladiator ($20) housemade sausage, pepperoni, cheese and red sauce. I would say, it was pretty decent for airport pizza. There aren't a ton of options here at this terminal, so this fit the bill. Good crust/ dough. Good if you're in a hurry. I would try again, this time a different pizza. read more

Long term loyalist but no more. Food quality has gone down. My favorite pizza now taste like overcook toast. Still like the pimento dip. My last pick up order was incomplete and when I called to remedy the situation, they told me either drive back that evening and pick up what was missing or to write it off since they can't give refunds when paying cash. I was here last month for business and I decided to pop on over to this restaurant. I ordered a breakfast plate, 2 eggs, fruit, bacon and toast. I didn't get my toast and they were not busy. I wish restaurants would take the time to make sure everything is right before it goes out. I was really upset about the toast. It was early in the morning and I was hungry. I would recommend this place. I am giving this an updated review. Management reached out to me, which they were super polite and they care about their customers. We already love La Grande Orange, so we had to come here when we needed lunch at Sky Harbor. There was a warmer where you can just grab a pizza in a box and pay, but you can also get pizzas and sandwiches made to order. There is a coffee counter with bakery, too. We decided to eat dessert first and ordered gelato, one vanilla and one chocolate. We split a papering pizza that we grabbed from the warmer. Burger is fresh made to order which was nice. Burger itself was not too bad. Definitely not worth the price for what you get. If the burger and fries were around $8 I would have been happy. I have heard about La Grande Orange from a lot of friends and finally made it in this past weekend. The store is set up like a grocery store when you walk in, but also has a dine in area, coffee bar, and counter where you can order all of your food at. We had the Kale & Quinoa salad which was very refreshing and had an excellent texture to it. The Kale/Quinoa & Sunflower seeds gave it the perfect crunch. I was excited to try their pizza as I have seen some great reviews and didn't believe for myself that the pizza would live up to the hype. It was amazing, and the crust was delicious too. If there was a little less grease on the pizza I would say 10/10!! I am excited to try some of their other fresh food and the coffee bar as well. read more

Decided to stop here with my wife as we waited for our flight. Two burgers, two sodas and a cookie came to about 57 bucks. Burgers alone were over 19 each. Not worth the price at all. Burgers were decent at best.. we both got the California burger which outside of the Avacado.. regular cheeseburgers with lettuce, onion and tomato. I already know how to cook eggs but these eggs are to die for. 5pm is the egg deadline here. Result: PERFECTION. Usually when I eat at airports, my expectation are never set too high but Le Grande Orange was just disappointing. I was flying out of Phoenix and needed some food and this was one of the better looking spots near my gate. I came with two friends and we ordered by going up to the counter and placing the order. - Ricky Martin Breakfast Burrito The quality of the burrito and contents were quite mid. The burrito consisted of egg, tomato, cheddar, jalapeño, lettuce, mayo, and Spanish chorizo. Two things particularly stood out: 1) the eggs were over cooked and 2) there was pepperoni in my burrito? Maybe they ran out of chorizo and stuffed it with pepperoni instead, as they do also sell pizza. Anyways, this was odd and through off the whole flavor and just wasn't that appealing. When you order, you're instructed that your order will be called out once it's ready. We sat down at a table by the front while we waited for our orders and after almost 20 min, we went to investigate as it seemed it shouldn't have taken that long. We got to the counter to find that our order was never called out and that our food had been sitting for about 10 min, which also made it less warm. read more

Airport Location: Purchased a "Stacked Turkey Sandwich" for $19.99 and what I got was two pieces of sourdough bread, 2 slices of tomatoes, 1 leaf of lettuce, 2 slivers of an avocado slice that tasted like it had been frozen and 2 slices of turkey deli meat folded in half. I've begun to make it a point to allow an extra 30 minutes or so onto my travel itinerary so I can stop here whenever I fly in and out of terminal 4. While I can't speak to how it compares to the actual LGO in Arcadia since I've never been to that location, the pizza quality is superb and better than most airport fare. The gladiator pizza rivals several of the thin crust styles I enjoy and for an airport the price point is competitive. Good service and a nice bar area to sit in makes traveling a lot less stressful when stopping here. read more

Order taker asked for tip even though this is to go only (no service). Food took 30 minutes to make. Part of it sat on the counter so it was cold spring that time. We were looking for food at the airport and this seemed like the best option. There was a long line and a small menu of things you can order. They warn you if you order anything off the menu it will take at least 15 minutes. We were going to get a burger, but they would only cook it medium well or well done so we didn't. We ended up just grabbing two pepperoni pizzas that were already made. They have them sitting under a heater, but it's so busy that they were just put out. Of course it's expensive since it's at the airport. It was almost $20 for a personal size pizza. It looked pretty good, but they didn't put any sauce on it. Like literally no sauce on either pizza. It was just a cheese and pepperoni flat bread and it really needed sauce. It has potential if they would actually put sauce on it. We should have stuck with McDonald's. read more

We stopped here for breakfast before our 7:30am flight. They had a full display case of breakfast items and cookies. When I ordered the morning bun which was in the display case I was told they were out of them. It was 6:30am. That would seem like the best time to have a morning bun in stock. The coffee lids don't fit the coffee cups either. They leak with every sip and you end up wearing your coffee. For being one of the friendliest airports we didn't feel very welcomed when we joined a family member to eat our food at La Grande Orange. We had some family order food from LGO and others from Chick-fil-A, when an employee told us that it wasn't a public eating space and we couldn't eat our Chick-fil-A in the eating area. No other airport employee had issue or mentioned it wasn't allowed. There was also no sign entering the restaurant stating that we could not come in to sit down to eat with other food.
