This is authentic Honduran food, local, like you find when you are actually in Honduras. Service was excellent and this is a restaurant more for the experience if you're not used to Honduran food. Servings are enormous so either share a portion or come with a huge appetite! I had the fried chicken which consisted of two drumsticks and a thigh, crispy fried with almost a sweet sauce and it came with a mound of shredded cabbage with some kind of sauce on top and some fried plantain that was served at room temperature, almost crispy, not at all soft. Very different. My husband ordered the folded tortilla which was homemade and stuffed full with beef, avocado, sour cream, and red beans. Three of them are in one serving so we have food left over for a week. This is a hole in the wall dive kind of restaurant that is thoroughly authentic so come for the food and the service.

Every time I visit Charlotte I have to stop by. Everything taste homemade and fresh. A good spot if you're looking for authentic Honduran food .

Delicious. Fast. Cheap. You can have it all! Do bring some Español or you'll have a tough time. But everyone was super nice. Felt like I was back in Queens. Love it! Carne Asada con platanos maduros.

My coworker and I was in town for work during NBA Allstar weekend and found this spot after a night of partying and the food was sooo good. At first it wasn't pack but within minutes it was fill with locals and everyone enjoying their individual dishes. The waitress was very nice even was teaching us how to say some of the dishes in Spanish a great translator. I would definitely go back again and recommend to anyone in NC of visiting.

If you want authentic Honduran food, this is the place. I have tried the fried chicken with Pupusas-delicious. I have tried the Carne Asada with rice and refried beans-delicious. And the Baleadas are the best!!! The service is great and you can tell the owner puts pride in his cooking. I will be back very soon!!!

Super good food and friendly service! Would recommend. You'll leave stuffed and satisfied. great food prices too

This is my kind of place. Understated. The focus is on good Honduran food. Clean. Simple. Feels like a place that is family focused. I had some boiled and flavored chicken pieces. It came with lime flavored yellow rice and cabbage slaw and a black bean purée. It also came with a side of fried plantains. The server explained that they were flexible and that we could substitute one thing for another. So, I forfeited the hand made tortilla for the plantains. The menu included a lot of meat items as well as breakfast options. There were also many drink selections that are well known in the Latin American world. TVs flanked the walls, but were not a distraction. It was quiet and great for conversation. My friend, Virginia, and I had some fun reviewing the Trump/Putin summit and still managed to keep our food down. This was a fabulous culinary experience. I recommend it without hesitation.

The food was alright. My family and I ordered baleadas and a Mondongo soup. The server was great, though. She was very helpful and quick.

The only complaint was the soup. It was well stocked, however lacked seasoning. Every other dishes was superb. Flavors were there. The sauces they offered were so delicious. I will definitely try them again. As Insaidnit was my mother's birthday and without even asking they came with the traditional hat and morracos and sang happy birthday to her along with a slice of cake. It really made her day.

I am usually seated immediately if table are open and they come to the table quickly afterwards. Kudos! I love their empanadas. They are smaller and use corn meal for the crust instead of being more like pie crust as Cuban style empanadas are. They have a fabulous breakfast menu but I usually go for lunch or dinner. They have daily lunch specials that are listed on the website. These change daily. If you want to get an overall feel for Colombian food then try the Bendeja Paisa. It has grilled steak, pork rind, sausage, rice beans, Corncake, sweet plantains, an egg, and sliced avocado. All of their Flank Steak and Skirt Steak dishes are fabulous! Two that I really enjoy are Entrana and Carne Encebollada. They have seafood dishes too. Cheers!

We tried the following: - Ajiaco: Traditional Bogotá-style shredded chicken and three variety of potato soup with corn and guascas (Colombian herb). Served with rice, avocado, cream, and capers.). - Sancocho de Gallina: Special broth with chicken; includes potato, corn, yuca, and plantain. Served with rice and avocado. - Colombian Empanadas Trio: Chicken and beef served with sauce. For drinks we went for a latte and a lulo juice. For dessert, we tried the meringue dessert and oblea (wafer filled with strawberries, condensed milk and whipped cream. The coffee and drink were good and he soups were great. Areas of improvements: The empanadas were OK and the de desserts were OK too as they were extremely sweet. One dessert is enough for two people. The service was fantastic and common areas were comfortable and clean. The whole vibe was fun and felt like we were in a nice restaurant in Latin America. We did not try drinks, but the was a nice looking bar.  Overall, highly recommended, and we will definitely come back.
