SO SO SO disappointed! We there on Sunday for my fathers 70th birthday. We were sat in a private room off to the side that had a large party going on. They were all alittle intoxicated im assuming since they had a ton of empty drinks on the table. They were SO loud yelling back and forth at eachother that me and my family at our table couldn't even hear eachother speaking normally. Great food every time at the sample location in pepper tree. we come very often but the one thing that constantly ruins the experience is the white- American older woman who greets the guests in the front (I believe her name is Sharon) She is INCREDIBLY rude and has been disrespectful to me and my family on multiple different occasions. Not a good look to have someone as rude and impolite as her greeting guests upon entry. It ruins the experience and atmosphere of the restaurant. She is very sharp, and has a terrible attitude. She has even turned my family and I away before closing hours claiming that they were no longer taking customers before 9pm. This behavior seems to be her natural demeanor since it is completely unprovoked and unjustifiable. This was a bittersweet review and I am unsure how to rate this properly as the food is usually excellent depending on what you eat... But this review was based solely on spotty service you can get, again depending on the waitress or waiter you get... Quick tip as a rule of thumb for Pollo à la Plancha is usually the best thing you can ever eat here... Grilled to perfection with an amazing citrus sauce mixed with a hint of mojo criollo. So stay away from Mayna B (I tried to get a picture but she kept on ducking me) - not for nothing just wanted to make sure you don't get this waitress. On the other hand Paola is always tops and is her personal favorite. Bottom line order the dish I mentioned before and get Paola and you be a five-star camper too! The food is great! The chicken was so juicy! The tea is little sweet so I asked them to water it down a little and it was perfect! My mother ordered a steak burrito and it was great and the sauce was nice and rich. I ordered the verde burrito and it was so yummy! I hate dry chicken, but the chicken here is so juicy! All entrees come with rice and beans. The food came quickly without sparing the quality! The waitress was super kind and patient. So worth a visit. I have always enjoyed the food at La Bomba but now they have decided to charge you $5.00 for a refill of chips and salsa. It does not matter if you have one person or 3 people at the table. Their entree prices are up quite a bit which I totally understand. I think it is very petty to ask customers to pay for a refill of chips/salsa after all these years. Increase the entrees another dollar if this affects your bottom line so much. This fee irritates me so much I am not sure I will be returning. I've been going to La Bamba for 30 or 40 years. when we had a bad hurricane they were the first restaurant to open and give out hot cheeseburgers. the food there is tremendous! there's no dish that I won't eat ...everything is delicious! they have the best salsa in the world, I can't eat salsa anywhere else but La Bamba. perfect service ! Service was good but unfortunately LaBamba has begun to charge for tortilla chips which are placed in baskets 1/2 the size they had been in prior to the pandemic. Best chips and salsa around, hands down. I visit the North Palm Beach location often, but while heading south for a meeting, I decided to stop here. It is located in a shopping plaza that has very tight parking (directly across the street from JM Lexus). The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and is ideal for any size group you are eating with. I ordered the beef burrito which is very tasty and we all shared the wings appetizer. I asked if I could get a side of it and the man told me it doesn't come with it, but I could buy some. Heck no! This restaurant is already way overpriced too. Mexican food should come with salsa!! Our server was Gloria who was fantastic. We had blue margaritas with top shelf liquor that was not weak by any means with chips and salsa. The first batch of chips were a bit stale but the next batch was still warm and delicious. I ordered the pork chucks and so did my boyfriend. They are deep fried with raw onions on top, that is all I really ever order when I eat here cause it's so amazing. My boyfriends son ordered chimichangas with crab meat and he said it was so delicious he wanted to cry. This place is consistently good with service and food. I have never had a bad meal here. They don't make fresh tortillas. The rice is bland but spicy. The beef in the chimichanga is a little too stewey (as in stew). The prices are a bit high for this kind of food. I don't recommend it. However, the strawberry margarita looked good. read more

La Bamba continues to be one of the few Mexican/Spanish places that seems to be able to get you in and out quickly, with some good Mexican/Spanish food. They have hot fresh tortilla chips, with a fresh mild salsa, and a good hot salsa. Nice flavor but not so spicy you can't feel your tongue. And they keep filling your bowl- which can be addictive. Personally, the Mexican food is my least favorite - I am not a fan of heavily sauced burritos, chimichangas or bland rice and beans. However, what they do well, they do extremely well. They have really good fajitas that come out sizzling with an excellent flavor. They are always good. They use real crab in their salad with crab meat and crab nachos. The shrimp scampi is delicious, and their side of chicken tacos is great. They even make a good hamburger! The bar is fun to hang out in, the bartenders have been there a long time and know the regulars, but also are attentive to new people. On Monday they have $2.50 frozen margaritas with a entree purchase, and I love their frozen margaritas with a floater on top. Somehow they manage to get you in and out quickly, even large groups, but you never feel you are being rushed. I have not been to any other La Bamba location, but this one has been good and beats such places as El Mariachi, Chipolte, etc. Casual and family style inside, loud but bearable noise level. Even on weekends when people are waiting, you can always get a drink and sit outside while waiting. The servers are friendly and quick. All in all, a great restaurant for some good food and great drinks! So average Mexican food, great fajitas and some other dishes. Worth the trip. read more

We have been coming to this place for the past several years with family and friends and have found the food to be very tasty and the service usually very friendly and attentive except for this last visit when our server was not as friendly as what we have been used to (he must have been having some personal issues so I will excuse him this time and continue with a 4 star rating based on the history of my previous visits) Every meal starts with complimentary nachos and some great Salsa dips, try the spicy one! My favorite dish here is the Pork Steak which always comes well seasoned and done to perfection. There are many sides to choose from and the quantities are huge! The regular NY Strip is good as is the Grilled Chicken breast, the Fried Pork Chunks and the shrimp Creole is also good as is most of the Mexican menu. This place is always busy and the only negative point is that they do not take reservations and one may have to wait 45 mins to an hour on week ends but prolly worth the wait! Had dinner there last Wednesday night...late...and was pleasantly surprised. I actually picked the location based upon all the cars that were out front, so I figured I was in luck. And lucky I was. After a few people I know said that this was good Mexican with good drinks, I decided to go with my people. Our wait was 45 minutes for a party of 5 at 7:45 pm on a Saturday night. Never been inside but I was not impressed with the interior. Hoping the food would be better, but it was not. This was the blandest Mexican food I've ever had. Maybe I got the wrong thing or it was an off night for the cook. I do not eat meat and I requested that my burrito have rice and beans, they only filled it with flavorless black beans, ew. The salsa verde was flavorless and jarred would have been more decent. The refried beans were also flavorless. The drinks were weak, it took 3 Margaritas to feel anything. Went here last weekend with my family and it was a terrible experience. Best part was the salsa in the beginning it was very fresh. I order the supreme fajitas which is chicken, steak, and shrimp. Well when it got to the table I see that it's about 98% chicken and vegetables. So I know obviously with a trio you won't get a full portion of each but there was literally 2 shrimp and 5 tiny tiny strips of steak. The charge for this entree is $25 now for $25 I would expect a little more shrimp and steak because the chicken fajitas are $18. So the other $7 is for 2 tiny shrimps and 5 tiny pieces of steak doesn't add up for me. So I called the server over and told her my dilemma and her response was well we won't add anymore to what comes to the table so you can return it and order something else. So with that response I asked to speak to a manager and I can see where she got that response from because his was even worse. His name was Manuel and when I explained to him like I just explained here he firs of all wasn't even looking at me eye to eye he was looking around and beyond me and he said well that's the way it comes if you don't like it I'll take it off you bill. I will never come to this restaurant again or recommend it to anyone else. Mexican is one of my favorites I venture out to any and all that I can and I already knew this one was ok not my favorite but this just solidified my outlook on it. Terrible customer service and people handling skills. Not saying everyone here is like that but the 2 people we dealt with were the worst especially the manager I have no idea how he is in the position he is I don't even know if he was he acts in manager. Wow...I can't believe this place actually has good reviews. I'm from California and moved to Florida for work. The first place my coworkers (none are Mexican) took me to was this "Mexican" restaurant. I walked in...NO Mexican vibes at all, but sat down anyway....I looked at the menu and was like "wtf"...what is this? We don't eat half the stuff on this menu. Ropa vieja is what I ordered...last time I checked it was Cuban. It was ok...nothing to really yelp about our recommend. What's most annoying is a restaurant slapping "mexican" on its menu when the only thing close to being mexican were the chips and salsa. I will never go there ever again and I will never recommend it to anyone. I can seriously go on and on about this place...but I think you get the picture. I ordered take out yesterday . The guy that retrieved my order opened my container to check it . We didn't see the refried beans so he went back and checked inside. He came back out, opened my container again, and said that the refried beans were inside the burrito . When I got home and started to eat my order, about a third of the way through, there was a long hair inside my mouth with a bite that I took .
