We had a great lunch here. Parking was right outside. They are still doing some construction of the shoppers haven area but you can avoid that coming south on federal. We were greeted and seated right away. The menu is extensive -- plus you can look at some of the dishes displayed in the cafeteria area. They do a lot of takeout and have numerous lunch specials. Shout out to Yelp elite Lisa H who came here. And caused me to bookmark the location. The restaurant is Latin. It's a mix of country cuisines. Mexican, Cuban, Colombian, Honduran, Salvadoran, et al. My husband wasn't that hungry and decided to just have a small chicken soup. The small soup turned out to be a huge meal! The soup was excellent -- a flavorful broth and packed with all sorts of veggies and chicken with a side of white rice and plantains. He was very happy. I'd been craving a cocktail de camarones after seeing a recent Instagram post. So I searched Yelp and this restaurant showed it on their menu. I was disappointed when we came in to no longer see it on their menu. However, after asking the server about it, the kitchen was happy to make it for me. It was a very big serving -- delicious and refreshing. There were two huge shrimp on the edge of the glass plus a large lettuce leaf. Inside there were chopped shrimp pieces along with chopped tomatoes and onions, all in a red (ketchup) based sauce. It's kind of a mix between gazpacho and ceviche. They served a fresh made tostada along side. And I used some of the taco chips as well. The different daily lunch specials sound wonderful as do their taco specials. Pricing is quite reasonable and portions are large. We'd definitely come back here!

Located in the Shoppers Haven plaza, this little gem is busy with hungry diners. (Including me!) We were greeted and seated immediately to look over our menus. I chose a Small Chicken soup, a complete meal in itself. Rich flavorful broth, lots of tender chicken and veggies. A side of white rice and plantains added the requisite carbs. Good food and a great find!

So for two kids and two adults and one infant, they charged us $15 to eat.

The food wasn't terrible and the service was great. BUT they charged us a $15 service fee for eating there. It wasn't gratuity where it would go to the waitress we had to tip her on top of that. They didn't have enough burgers for my kids, and the chicken tenders were not any good. I could understand charging a service fee if my kids had made a mess or we had made a mess. But it was two adults and three kids only two of which were eating. I will definitely not be going back charging someone $15 just to eat in a restaurant is ridiculous.

Food was absolutely amazing. If you are a sucker for GOOD chicharron this is the spot. Our tacos were perfect, authentic style. They also do Taco Tuesdays. 1.99 tacos. Chicken, beef or pork.

We decided to try a new local place for breakfast. We parked out front in the strip center and were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was very pleasant and my goal was to get a good cafe con leche which I did get. We ordered omelets from the breakfast menu which came with toast, potatoes and a really tasty sauce in the side. Everything was fresh and tasted great and prices were very fair. We noticed they had a cafeteria type counter where you can order take out. A lot of people came in while we were seated and took prepared food to go. Most of the food was prepared Latin American style with lots of good flavors and spices. They also advertised Taco Tuesday with $1 tacos and a fun night. The atmosphere felt like a diner with a number of locals. We will have to try the tacos. Im sure they will be authentic!!

    TACO TUESDAY!

I absolutely love this place! I've been here a few times and have yet to have a negative experience. The food is amazing and decently priced, especially when taking into account how good the food tastes . I like the location. It has a mom-and-pop feel to it, which made me feel welcomed, and the restaurant as a whole is very clean. The service is fantastic. I've had multiple servers and they've all been great. Even when there was a small mistake, they would quickly try to fix it. And of course, nothing beats Taco Tuesday! Tacos are $.99 and they taste phenomenal. If I were to give a small complaint, they have a DJ on Taco Tuesdays, and the music is extremely loud; to the point where I need to scream at the person in front of me to have a conversation. Other than that, I can't recommend this place enough. Star Breakdown: Location: Yes Service: Yes Food: Yes Price: Yes Cleanliness: Yes

I started going here just for there .99 tacos. Lately there has been issues when you ordering online. I order every Tuesday. First issue was their website didn't change the correct Taxes which it showed 6%. I told them to get it fixed multiple times. 2. second issue they order beef due to there increase Again on there website shows .99 now they called me telling me it when up 1.99 they refuse to honor there Mistake again on the website This leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD. Cheap delicious food! Reminded me of Hispanic restaurants serving food on the spot in NYC. I had a carne de res soup without the carne with rice and veggies. So good, my husband had MASSIVE baleadas. My son had rice beans plantains. He loved it. Delicious seasoning and loved their food options for a great price. I plan to be back soon!

    Flan past expiration with mold

As the taco Tuesday deal is always amazing I went back to Las Carnitas tonight to pickup some Mexican tacos (chicken and pork) for my wife and I. Along with the tacos I grabbed two Flan from the fridge as they are her favorite and I like them as well. Once home we demolished the tacos which were fantastic and my wife started on the Flan. As I grabbed mine I noticed the best by date was 7/3/24 (today is 7/30/24) and that there was some mold growth on top. I asked my wife to check hers which she was almost done with and the best by date sticker was missing. She said it tasted fine and finished it lol but mine with the mold was a hard pass. I tried calling the restaurant back but they closed in 25 minutes and no one picked up. I'll probably still go back for the tacos but pass on desserts in the future.

Place had a bad feeling to begin with, but there was a roach leg under one of our plates and when it was addressed the workers pulled up every excuse to save themselves and begged to compensate us when all we wanted to do was leave at that point. And when we wanted to take a photo of the roach leg for evidence they were quick to dispose of it and act like nothing had happened, when we asked for someone in charge they were also quick to deny our request to see them and refused to take proper action about the whole situation, instead they laughed and blamed us for bringing a roach leg into the restaurant and frame them, also making up excuses saying that we sat by the door so anything could happen, and so on. Again the place still even looked dirty, honestly the bathroom looked cleaner than the rest of the restaurant and the workers gave us a hard time. Lastly one of the plates (food) was too salty, and another while the food was hot there were pieces that were freezing and disgusting, and the soft drinks were honestly sad, it was like they didn't care for the machines they had and the sodas came out nasty.

This salad was fresh, with delicious chicken and crispy lettuce. Would recommend. The staff is very friendly.
