It's been way too long since we last visited! We usually love exploring new spots in the area, but this reminder of why we love this place was much needed. The food and service were absolutely amazing, and we scored a perfect little table on the patio. Huge shoutout to our bartender who went above and beyond--she walked us through a flight of Greek wines and every single one was a hit! We definitely won't wait this long to come back.

One word: WOW. This might actually be Atlanta's best seafood. I hadn't been to Kyma in many, many years--not for any reason other than it just doesn't come to mind (hello, marketing opportunity). But I've eaten here at least a dozen times over the last 10 years and always had a fantastic experience. This latest one? Truly next-level... and I happened to have dined a St Cecilia two days prior, very well known for best seafood, but I felt Kyma quality ran circles around it Space: Don't judge Kyma by its dated exterior or slightly tacky Greek décor--the food is some of the absolute best in Atlanta. Honestly, if the restaurant group invested in a fresh exterior sign and a little paint, I'd bet the return in increased traffic would pay for itself many times over. Valet: $3--don't forget to bring cash for a tip. Food: * The guys did the tasting menu for two ($160pp)--well worth the price point and every single dish was spectacular. Standouts: Veal Sweetbreads, dorade "tsipoura", & lobster wedding rice. I also loved the calamari ribbons * The girls ordered a spread of apps, and honestly, every bite was 10/10. (*favorites) * *Ceviche, Scallops, Octopus * Crab Cake, Eggplant, Watermelon Salad, Brussels Only complaint: dish pacing. We were there for about 4 hours, and the gaps between tasting menu courses were a bit too long. Would love to see the kitchen tighten up the cadence and for servers to check in if delays are expected.

This was my first time here. We celebrated a friend's birthday, and this restaurant, the service.... blew me away. Everything was amazing. From the complimentary drink, to multiple staff coming to the table to clear plates, bring more food, knowing exactly what's on the menu and being able to describe it well, clean bathrooms, gorgeous decor, great food...I could go on and on! 10/10!

The ambiance here is so cute!! We went for our anniversary and they were so nice. We did the tasting menu and everything was incredible. Could not recommend it more. Service made us feel extra special.

Everything was amazing from the experience to the ambiance to the service. The lambchop was the best I've ever had. We went with the chef recommendations and it was all so good.

Absolutely amazing! One of the best dining experiences that I've had for both food and service. I brought my husband here for his birthday and everything was perfect. Our server, Patrick, was awesome and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The ambiance was nice and we were seated in the most perfect booth with a great view of the dining room. We tried a few different menu items and everything was superb. We ordered the octopus and lobster! We mentioned the sea bass ceviche and Patrick brought us some for a tasting...omg chef's kiss. You can't go wrong with any of these appetizers. For entrees, my husband ordered the whole fish (think it was pink snapper or something like that) and it was very good. The fish was mild and buttery. I had the lamb chops and they were seasoned very well although slightly overcooked for my liking. We had some really nice wines as well, don't remember the names of them but my martini was tasty! It's called the Morpheus. Highly recommend! It has gin, st.Germain, hibiscus, and lavender! I cannot wait to return to Kyma.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Atlanta. I can't believe it took me so long to try it. My friend and I had just gotten back into town so we were coming straight from the airport, looking for somewhere to eat. We had a taste for Mediterranean food and found Kyma via Yelp. We arrived with no reservation and were accommodated without a problem. We sat on the patio, which is beautiful. The service was excellent. I started with the pork ribs, a very hearty appetizer. The ribs were delicious, dry rub and the meat fell off of the bone. We each had snapper, I had it filleted and my friend had the whole fish. Both were delicious. Throughout the evening we had wine which we enjoyed. I finished the evening with a delicious dessert trio. Again: an overall excellent experience, no complaints!

While I think Kyma is a good restaurant, I'm not as thrilled as I was before. Rather than order the "Aegean" prix fixe as we always have, if we return, we're better off going a la carte. Kyma's appetizers are wonderful. The prix fixe used to include four off the menu. Now it's down to two, and the portion for the three of us was skimpy -- likely the same as they'd serve two people. Aside from quantity, the lamb pie, pork ribs and calamari (which we ordered separately) are winners. To make up for the missing appetizers, they've added a Greek salad which was overloaded with tomatoes. (My preference would be to raise prices rather than impose cost-cutting measures.) To our surprise, the fish portion of our meal was huge. I posted a photo of the char (salmon) we got.... but there was another piece that I didn't photograph. Plenty for five people. (Couldn't they have done that with the appetizers?!) Dessert -- not included on the prix fixe -- was okay. The loukoumades (Greek donuts) not nearly as good as what we get in Astoria. Service is a little too quick, like they want to feed you and get you out. So I don't know -- there's good, there's bad. If you live locally, see what you think.

This was a great first time experience! We had a warm welcome by the hostess she could tell right away we weren't from Atlanta. She took her time to explain the menu and the decor of the restaurant. This was the perfect date night spot. The food tasted delicious We ordered the octopus, Greek Salad, branzino and a few other items that I cannot remember since I'm writing this review a few months after my visit( don't judge me). I would come back for the food not the drinks I don't think they have a good bartender on their staff. Overall this was a great dining experience.

We arrived at the restaurant an hour before our show and notified the waitress that we were on a tight timeline. We prepaid in an effort to save time and not have spend time at the end to close out. We did not receive our food! 5 minutes before we were due at the theater, they started bringing out some things that we didn't have time to eat. We told them that we would just like a refund. They had us put our phone numbers and the last 4 digits of our credit cards on the back of our receipts and told us that they would refund us. Imagine my surprise when the charge for food I didn't get appeared on my credit card. It's so sad because I truly thought this was an amazing restaurant, but I cannot bring myself to go back. *Update*. I was finally refunded, but still won't return!

Problem is that I don't like to drive the distance via the highway. Luckily my cousin is here and he was willing to drive. It was a Thursday night and we thought we'd try to avoid the evening rush hour traffic. It was still busy but we made it. This location is right by the 715 Peachtree Parking Garage and the restaurant does validate parking. We went in about 7:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. We waited for the one waitress before she told us to sit anywhere. I knew what I wanted because of past experience and finding a menu online. I let my cousin know that all of the food is good and their portions are huge. I got the Greek Combo and he got the lamb skewers with a salad. I also ordered the Dolmades as an appetizer. The Dolmades came out fairly quickly with a side of warm pita quarters. The combination of the two was yummy! It wasn't too long after that our entrees came. My cousin's salad came soon after the entrees were delivered. It came in a bowl on a larger plate with dressing on the side. As he was trying to pick out the cucumbers because of allergies, things were falling out, so I suggested he out the contents on the plate. The salad covered the plate and was high. I must have misread what was in the combo because as I started to eat, there was spanakopita, pastitio and then I found the eggplant for the moussaka. I thought the combo was moussaka and pastitio only. As I said, the portions were huge. It also comes with green beans and rice or Greek potatoes I got the potatoes. I barely made a dent in my order, it was definitely filling. My cousin had 2 large skewers with rice and green beans. He too had a huge portion with rice and green beans. We both had to ask for boxes the take our food home. Our waitress asked if we wanted dessert so we asked what they had. I remember that the Norcross location had a large display case with cakes, baklava and cheesecake. They only had three choices to offer---baklava, Greek cheesecake and another Greek dessert. I chose the baklava for my cousin and I to split and a box to take 1/2 home. We shared the 1/2 and that was plenty for the 2 of us. I don't remember if there was music playing in the background, but because it wasn't crowded, my cousin and I could have a nice conversation and feel comfortable. Our waitress was attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled. When we first came in, I let her know I missed having the Norcross location because it was convenient for me, but I understand why they closed to maintain the one location. She had worked at the Norcross location for 6 years with the waitress who I always had when I went in. I think she was actually one of the owners. If it wasn't so far to get to for me, I'd go more frequently. For those who go to the Fox Theatre, I'd definitely recommend having dinner here before the show. It's only a block from the theatre.

I had this bookmarked for a while and decided it was time to check it out for date night. Hubby ordered the beef sticks with grape leaves and I ordered the burger with a side of fries. We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese). Everything was delicious with the exception of the grape leaves (can't recall the official name of this dish). I told hubby that some reviews had mentioned they were soggy and not too good. He agreed with those reviewers and would not recommend. The saganaki was both literal and metaphorical fire. The pita points it was served with were crunchy, which was pleasantly surprising. We both did wish there was some kind of sweetness to complement the cheese like a fruit jam or something, but it was delicious regardless. The beef on the sticks was tasty as was the burger but the star of the whole show were the fries. Hubby typically does not like fries but he loved these and was happy that I let him share them with me. Lol I am not sure what kind of seasoning they had but our taste buds definitely approved. They don't come with the burger but were definitely worth getting on the side. It was a little on the pricey side at about $35-40 more than our typical date night spend for less food, but it was good overall. Too pricey to make it into our weekly rotation, but will be a nice addition to our special occasion options.

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.
