I've visited the hotel once before to go to their rooftop bar, Moonlight (another must visit) but I had no idea they had another restaurant nested inside. Firstly, a number of hotel employees don't know where this restaurant is located and we were misdirected. Entering the lobby, make a left and look for the elevator bank down the dark hallway on the right. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and make a left into the hallway and you'll see the entrance. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant, like the hotel, is very nicely decorated. The brunch/breakfast menu is small, but definitely adequate for us and we split the Breakfast Hummus and Olive Oil Pancakes (with a side of extra poached eggs). Both plates were solid and I thought the pancakes and flavored syrup were delicious. The four star review comes down to their absolutely abysmal coffee. They've got drip coffee and espresso, but aren't making lattes, cappuccinos, etc. The coffees we got were godawful - burnt tasting and unappealing. I had them make an espresso and it wasn't any better. For a nice restaurant in a boutique hotel that serves weekend brunch to have such poor coffee (both in varieties/options available and in taste) is a HUGE managerial error in my opinion. read more

That's why I made a reservation and I was a little late but they still took care of me. The wait staff and the hostess staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place had a really good vibe and some nice ambiance. The night that I went it was very busy but they still kept the customer service up. If you go here you have to either park somewhere on the street or park using the valet at the hotel itself. If you park right in front, there's street parking buddies paid parking. If you go up a little ways at the complexes on the next block that is free but that is quite a walk for some people. Especially if somebody has on heels. Mussles - this was good, the sauce was great. The actual dish itself, the mussels were a bit small, but they had a really good flavor to them. The sauce had peppers and onions in it, you can eat those by themselves. It could have been a soup and I'd have been perfectly okay. This was a winner and I would have eat it again. Harissa fries - the fries were good. No complaints. They were seasoned super well and they were really crispy. Honey harissa chicken - The chicken was good. It was sweet and tangy just like it needed to be. It came with onions and peppers and a tomato. It was very savory and it really hit all the notes. My only thing was the fact that it was only one skewer in the plate. It wasn't enough to warrant the price, but at the same time it was still good flavor wise. Octopus - The octopus, I feel like they could have been more of that. It was really good. It was cooked really crispy and tender at the same time, cooked to perfection. Zero complaints about this one. This was a winner. Honestly it came on a bed of something (maybe beans or chickpeas), I didn't really eat that. But the octopus by itself was really good. Overall, this was a really good experience. It may not be worth the price as far as the amount of food that you get, but the food that you get is quality. I want to make sure I keep that in line with my review, the food was really good. We visited Elektra as part of our Valentine's Day outing. The restaurant is kind of tucked off but the ambiance is nice. To me it seemed like I was on the Grecian coast or something-greens and neutrals are part of the decor. Our service was fairly quick which was a plus since we were running over from our prior stop and needed to go to our next stop. We tried quite a few things-Mussels, Octopus (which is the best I have had-I was so surprised at how good it tasted), Harissa fries, hot honey harissa chicken, and lamb kofta. All delicious. There are MANY reasons it's the best kept secret and should be #1 on your go-to discovery restaurants in Atlanta. 1- it's right off of the chaos of the Beltline, but offers a comfortable, quiet, intimate oasis from the fray. I don't think the majority of Atlantans have discovered it yet, so it remains quiet and private (for now) 2- the food and service were Great!!! Exploring the new Forth Hotel, the architecture, the park and the restaurants of this area is truly a pleasure. It's one of the best transformations of a dump into beauty right in the city center. A decade ago, nobody could picture sitting in this spot of dirt and homelessness to enjoy a cocktail, yet this is now a new world. The patio at Elektra is one of the best in Atlanta, poolside with views of gorgeous contemporary architecture of the new high rises. There are some beautiful rooftop tree plantings that add shade, greenery and beauty. It's a truly beautiful place. The Mediterranean food is spectacular. The salmon with squash is one of the best in the city (probably only second to Rumi's in Midtown location). The kofta kebob is amazing, lamb mixed with brisket makes for a juicy and tasty meal. Maybe the highlight of it all is the waitress we had a chance to interact with: Lauren. One of the kindest and most attentive people out there in the industry. This newly opened restaurant has become my Midterranean fav around dt/midtown due to its delicious food, great service, and stunning view around. For food, this restaurant impresses me with a wide range of creative dishes; try for example the Tunisian salad. The grilled chicken sounds traditional, but their honey harissa sauce adds some sweetness and smokiness to the juicy chicken. Also each table gets some free torshi -- pickled cabbage, radish, cauliflower, bell peppers and even raisins! Besides the amazing food, service there was also superb. The servers were quite friendly and attentive. For example, they would review the booking info and remember my food allergies so that I did not need mention it again. Many of them also enjoyed chatting with diners. And importantly, food came out in reasonable time. Another thing I really like is the view. The restaurant sits on the 4th floor of the beautifully designed Forth Hotel. The inside of the restaurant had stylish, formal vibe. In contrast, the patio near a pool is more casual, "energetic", and it's just fantastic to see the sunset while enjoying the food. I do need to note that dishes in Elektra is in general smaller than most popular Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants nearby (e.g., Delbar). However, it is definitely enough for one. To me, the food there simply has a different focus compared to those ones, such as its creativeness and different use of ingredients. read more

Our server Sam, was great! We were a large group and came in kinda late, but she handled our party expertly. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. When I told her the profile of cocktail I generally stick to, she got the bartender to make me something that was off-menu, but truly suited to my tastes. Most people probably don't go to mediterranean restaurants for steak, but that steak was juicy, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Of the restaurants at the Forth Hotel, Elektra is my favorite and has the best menu. Bonus note: If you like soft drinks, the Sprite I had was crisp and sweet, just like I like it haha read more

Need a tucked away spot that will give the feeling that you've temporarily left some of the hustle of ATL for a slice of the Mediterranean? Definitely check out Elektra on the 4th floor of the Forth Hotel. My experience this visit was limited to cocktails and their mezze platter, but those two items alone, along with the stellar bar service from Darren, will have me returning soon. On the cocktail front, Darren and the bar staff were very knowledgeable and mixed some great drinks whether you selected something from their menu, picked a classic, or went off-script (I started with the Elektra martini, and followed up with a barrel-rested, gin old fashioned that Darren recommended, which was great for the last gasps of summer). For the food, even the often humble mezze platter came out looking beautiful and tasted easily as good as it looked. The use of seasonal ingredients such as peaches was a fun change of pace, the baba ghanoush may be the best I've ever had, and the labneh was a lovely compliment to the other offerings on the tray. Elektra's culinary team took an array of dips and small bites and turned it into a great meal that was perfect for sharing with someone while taking in good conversation and their beautiful space. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my visit and I look forward to going back to try their other offerings. read more

Our group of six had dinner here on a Sunday night. It's on the fourth floor of the this super trendy FORTH Hotel. They have valet and paid lot parking, I think 3 hrs was around $8. This is such a beautiful restaurant with its vibrant colors and full bar. For drinks, I ordered something Garden and it was super refreshing! Our group ordered a mezze platter to share with- my personal fave was the labneh dip! For entrees, I ordered the lamb kofte kabob served with a grilled pepper, tomato, sliced onions and yogurt sauce. I also ordered a falafel. The lamb was super flavorful and was a good amount of food if you're not looking to feel super full. I've had better falafel at other places, so theirs was okay. Service was mediocre. It took awhile to get our cocktails. When our server was pouring wine into my friend's glass, she spilled some and apologized but instead of wiping it down right away... well she did not. Was so excited to see this spot opened on Instagram earlier this week so I grabbed a reservation for Friday and it was so worth it! Elektra is on top of the new Forth Hotel in Old Fourth Ward Park. It sits next to the hotel/fitness club pool on the lower of the two rooftops. If 3 of the stars are for food, 1 is for ambiance, and 1 is for service, then all 5 were met. It's clean and bright in the restaurant, filled with natural light, light colored woods, and tons of plants. The service was fantastic from the hotel employee that walked us up to the elevators, the hostesses, and servers, to timing of the meal. This is not always an easy feat with a brand new restaurant, and this is one of the reasons I would highly recommend visiting. The menu isn't online so I posted a picture here for people to get an idea of what the menu is now, although it may continue to change because I had previously seen a different iteration of it downstairs in the hotel lobby. Food was great - we didn't have a bad bite. Between the 4 of us we tried to falafel, labneh, harissa fries, pilaf, honey Harrisa chicken, the shish kebab, and the prawns. The entrees don't come with rice/sides so you can order something to accompany them from the Mezze side of the menu if needed, which is what we did with the pilaf and fries (both are dishes plenty big to share). For me, the standouts were the falafel plate and the sauce that came with the honey harissa chicken... OMG. The chicken + pilaf (tangy + sweet due to the dried berries, yum) topped with that sauce was perfection! The other notable comment at our table was about the Shish Kebab that my friend said was so tender + cooked perfectly medium rare, which as everyone can guess is hard to achieve when cooking small pieces of steak. Lastly, MOST items on the menu are already naturally gluten free. Our server had a list ready for me with what I could order and it barely took any options off the menu. We are here with a group for Christmas dinner. The restaurant is attractive, the staff has been attentive so far (we have just ordered appetizers) but the volume level is too loud! Everyone at our table has to shout to be heard. An update. We finished dinner. The service was sketchy- we waited a while after our appetizers before our entree order was taken. When the entrees came out, the servers didn't know which entree went to which seat. That's a big red flag of an untrained staff. The entrees were all good, everyone was pleased with what they had ordered. When the check came, it was presented to one person, and we were told{d they didn't split checks. When we told the d}server that we were a group that went out to dinner every Saturday night and wouldn't be back because of not splitting the checks, she said "let me check with my manager ". She then was able to split the checks. The main server was quite pleasant, personable. Perhaps trying dinner outside, on a non-holiday would result in a better experience. read more

The deck is a bit confusing, but we figured it out. Then you need to go into the Forth Hotel, through the lobby to the elevators, and take the elevator to the 4th floor to find the way to the restaurant. The decor is very Mediterranean coast - and you're looking at the pool. Lovely ambiance with a good bit of outdoor seating. Service was fantastic. The menu isn't large, but the quality is good. My only real negative is the value - you're paying full prices for smaller servings. The recommended style is to order something from each part of the menu (cold, hot, grill, dessert), but that would have been way too much food for us. Amazing location with outdoor seating that is so fun and entertaining. This is connected to a hotel and the outdoor seating is with the pool, it's a fun environment. I highly recommend the platter as you can try so many small dishes and they are al so delicious. I actually ended up taking the leftover home because I didn't want to waste such a flavorful platter. The Harissa Honey Chicken was the best thing we had. The hummus and the lentil rice were okay. Not sure what the hummus is missing but it is missing a little zing. The rice in the lentil rice has no flavor at all. It is as though everything was just mixed. It tasted like plain white rice and the raisins didn't taste like they were even cooked. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. My husband and I decided to try during the week after a walk on the Atlanta Beltline. The service was superb! From our time entering the Forth Hotel to our waitress, Lauren, everyone was so pleasant. We didn't have reservations but there was not a wait time. I would suggest making reservations especially on the weekends! The ambience of the restaurant was amazing. I would describe it as upscale coastal. We decided to share a small plate for a quick power snack during our walk. We shared the HONEY HARISSA CHICKEN  with grilled pepper & tomato, sumac onions  and the HARISSA FRIES with garlic toum. Falafels were amazing 9/10, really good rich hummus base, some of the best falafel Ive ever had. Salmon was amazing 8.5/10, I love the sweet glaze and patty pan squash was super unique and amazing. I would've loved a slightly firmer crust, but cooked perfectly otherwise. Lamb skewer was great 8/10, I love lamb so obviously a hit with me, though a little more plain than the other dishes. But the rice pilaf...... oh my GOD it was the best rice dish I've had maybe ever 100000/10, super rich and a little sweet with amazing texture and the portion was HUGE enough for four people. The food overall was GREAT. Normally, I would take a half point off for small entree portions but the bartender told us the 6oz size before ordering so that was totally fine. read more
