Harissa Fries

We visited Elektra as part of our Valentine's Day outing. The restaurant is kind of tucked off but the ambiance is nice. To me it seemed like I was on the Grecian coast or something-greens and neutrals are part of the decor. Our service was fairly quick which was a plus since we were running over from our prior stop and needed to go to our next stop. We tried quite a few things-Mussels, Octopus (which is the best I have had-I was so surprised at how good it tasted), Harissa fries, hot honey harissa chicken, and lamb kofta. All delicious. I will be happy to return and try either their lunch or brunch.

Firstly, a number of hotel employees don't know where this restaurant is located and we were misdirected. Entering the lobby, make a left and look for the elevator bank down the dark hallway on the right. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and make a left into the hallway and you'll see the entrance. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant, like the hotel, is very nicely decorated. The brunch/breakfast menu is small, but definitely adequate for us and we split the Breakfast Hummus and Olive Oil Pancakes (with a side of extra poached eggs). Both plates were solid and I thought the pancakes and flavored syrup were delicious. The four star review comes down to their absolutely abysmal coffee. They've got drip coffee and espresso, but aren't making lattes, cappuccinos, etc. The coffees we got were godawful - burnt tasting and unappealing. I had them make an espresso and it wasn't any better. For a nice restaurant in a boutique hotel that serves weekend brunch to have such poor coffee (both in varieties/options available and in taste) is a HUGE managerial error in my opinion.

Elektra is located inside of the Forth Hotel right off of the Beltline. It's super cute with a patio that overlooks the hotel's pool. It's Mediterranean dishes so think Delbar or Yalda. I had the mussels that came with fries surprisingly which I was happy about. Our server was very prompt and honest about what to order and what not to. Always appreciated!

ATTENTION ATLIENS: Best kept secret in Atlanta. Elektra is on the 4th floor of Forth (hotel in Old Fourth Ward). There are MANY reasons it's the best kept secret and should be #1 on your go-to discovery restaurants in Atlanta. 1- it's right off of the chaos of the Beltline, but offers a comfortable, quiet, intimate oasis from the fray. I don't think the majority of Atlantans have discovered it yet, so it remains quiet and private (for now) 2- the food and service were Great!!! Shoutout: Ayesha (sp?) our fantastic and enthusiastic server. 3- the patio, pool area outside of the restaurant, including the inside ambiance is immaculate. I could go on, but I don't need to because you're going to RUN not walk, to make a reservation here! PRO TIP: Don't get me started on the top floor roof of the building: Moonlight Lounge... that review is to come next...) one word: ELITE. Book yourself a res there for after dinner.

This place has been recommended to me for so long and I finally got to try it. I'm happy to report it lived up to the hype. The food was amazing. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The decor was beautiful. The view didn't feel like you were in Atlanta. The staff was super sweet and everything came out quick. It's easily one of my new favorites in Atlanta.

Exploring the new Forth Hotel, the architecture, the park and the restaurants of this area is truly a pleasure. It's one of the best transformations of a dump into beauty right in the city center. A decade ago, nobody could picture sitting in this spot of dirt and homelessness to enjoy a cocktail, yet this is now a new world. The patio at Elektra is one of the best in Atlanta, poolside with views of gorgeous contemporary architecture of the new high rises. There are some beautiful rooftop tree plantings that add shade, greenery and beauty. It's a truly beautiful place. The Mediterranean food is spectacular. The salmon with squash is one of the best in the city (probably only second to Rumi's in Midtown location). The kofta kebob is amazing, lamb mixed with brisket makes for a juicy and tasty meal. Maybe the highlight of it all is the waitress we had a chance to interact with: Lauren. One of the kindest and most attentive people out there in the industry. All around, Elektra hits the spot from its beauty to the people who work here to the amazing food. It's simply great.

This newly opened restaurant has become my Midterranean fav around dt/midtown due to its delicious food, great service, and stunning view around. For food, this restaurant impresses me with a wide range of creative dishes; try for example the Tunisian salad. The grilled chicken sounds traditional, but their honey harissa sauce adds some sweetness and smokiness to the juicy chicken. Also each table gets some free torshi -- pickled cabbage, radish, cauliflower, bell peppers and even raisins! Besides the amazing food, service there was also superb. The servers were quite friendly and attentive. For example, they would review the booking info and remember my food allergies so that I did not need mention it again. Many of them also enjoyed chatting with diners. And importantly, food came out in reasonable time. Another thing I really like is the view. The restaurant sits on the 4th floor of the beautifully designed Forth Hotel. The inside of the restaurant had stylish, formal vibe. In contrast, the patio near a pool is more casual, "energetic", and it's just fantastic to see the sunset while enjoying the food. I do need to note that dishes in Elektra is in general smaller than most popular Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants nearby (e.g., Delbar). However, it is definitely enough for one. To me, the food there simply has a different focus compared to those ones, such as its creativeness and different use of ingredients.

Need a tucked away spot that will give the feeling that you've temporarily left some of the hustle of ATL for a slice of the Mediterranean? Definitely check out Elektra on the 4th floor of the Forth Hotel. My experience this visit was limited to cocktails and their mezze platter, but those two items alone, along with the stellar bar service from Darren, will have me returning soon. On the cocktail front, Darren and the bar staff were very knowledgeable and mixed some great drinks whether you selected something from their menu, picked a classic, or went off-script (I started with the Elektra martini, and followed up with a barrel-rested, gin old fashioned that Darren recommended, which was great for the last gasps of summer). For the food, even the often humble mezze platter came out looking beautiful and tasted easily as good as it looked. The use of seasonal ingredients such as peaches was a fun change of pace, the baba ghanoush may be the best I've ever had, and the labneh was a lovely compliment to the other offerings on the tray. Elektra's culinary team took an array of dips and small bites and turned it into a great meal that was perfect for sharing with someone while taking in good conversation and their beautiful space. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my visit and I look forward to going back to try their other offerings.

Enjoyed a dinner on the patio of Elektra. Reservations are a must. Located on the 4th floor of the Forth hotel, Elektra serves Mediterranean fare. We started with the cauliflower and harissa fries, both were delicious. We also enjoyed the harissa chicken, salmon, and pilaf. Finished with a dessert, only complaint is it was cold. The hotel has limited parking out front, a few lots around the building. Service was good.

This is a new spot in the forth hotel. It's an indoor outdoor restaurant overlooking the hotel pool. We went for cocktails and most drinks were average. The ambience is great. Check this out if you want something different be most dishes are nothing exceptional

Really cool ambiance, nice decor and very intimate atmosphere. Located inside the hotel. Service was attentive. Really enjoyed the salmon dish. Most of the dishes are on the smaller side and not great portions but the salmon was cooked excellently and the roasted squash was a lovely pairing. Drinks were refreshing. Mezze platter was a great app to share amongst 4-5 people. Would go back again

Loved the food and the service was spectacular. The space is decorated very well and felt cozy.

Was so excited to see this spot opened on Instagram earlier this week so I grabbed a reservation for Friday and it was so worth it! Elektra is on top of the new Forth Hotel in Old Fourth Ward Park. It sits next to the hotel/fitness club pool on the lower of the two rooftops. If 3 of the stars are for food, 1 is for ambiance, and 1 is for service, then all 5 were met. It's clean and bright in the restaurant, filled with natural light, light colored woods, and tons of plants. The service was fantastic from the hotel employee that walked us up to the elevators, the hostesses, and servers, to timing of the meal. This is not always an easy feat with a brand new restaurant, and this is one of the reasons I would highly recommend visiting. The menu isn't online so I posted a picture here for people to get an idea of what the menu is now, although it may continue to change because I had previously seen a different iteration of it downstairs in the hotel lobby. Food was great - we didn't have a bad bite. Between the 4 of us we tried to falafel, labneh, harissa fries, pilaf, honey Harrisa chicken, the shish kebab, and the prawns. The entrees don't come with rice/sides so you can order something to accompany them from the Mezze side of the menu if needed, which is what we did with the pilaf and fries (both are dishes plenty big to share). For me, the standouts were the falafel plate and the sauce that came with the honey harissa chicken... OMG. The chicken + pilaf (tangy + sweet due to the dried berries, yum) topped with that sauce was perfection! The other notable comment at our table was about the Shish Kebab that my friend said was so tender + cooked perfectly medium rare, which as everyone can guess is hard to achieve when cooking small pieces of steak. Lastly, MOST items on the menu are already naturally gluten free. Our server had a list ready for me with what I could order and it barely took any options off the menu. Overall - will definitely be returning. Possibly for brunch next time, as our server recommended!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

We were greeted by smiles and a welcoming team at the host table and I quickly appreciated the Mediterranean charm of the restaurant -- I felt like I could have been in Rick's Cafe Americain or the Blue Parrot! The dim lighting offered a great blend of intimacy and privacy, while still letting me see the people at my table and the food! And the food! My goodness, the food! We had a wonderful sampling of shared appetizers. The hummus and Dill labneh were solid and would have been deemed more than worthy by my Lebanese grandmother! Olives were a revelation, and were done in a preparation that included pomegranate which paired really well with the brine of the olives! The star of the first round, however, was the whole cauliflower, roasted and spiced. Without reservation, I can say it is the most I have ever enjoyed cauliflower - and I shall return for it again! I was already full by the time my falafel arrived for my main course. Falafel was exactly as it was supposed to be, and it was good. I ate it all, and then, a la Violet Beauregard upon leaving the chocolate factory, had to be rolled out of the restaurant! Our server and his food runners were all gems! The manager also came by to chat with us a couple of times. Great people at Delbar!

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

It wasn't busy at the time however, it did pick up throughout the night. It's a small restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating (outdoor is a covered patio with fans and heaters provided). It seems like the restaurant only provides valet parking, but theres not fee. For appetizers, we ordered 'kibbeh nayyeh' which comes with pita bread and a few radishes. I believe the menu said it was going to spicy, but it wasn't. If you're into tartare, it was very good, light and easy to eat. I ordered the saffron sunset margarita which was good and my boyfriend got a mint lemonade- very refreshing with the freshly ground mints! For entrees, we ordered the 'chicken kabab' and 'rosemary & za'atar chicken' paired with basmati rice which they top with sliced almonds. Both entrees were good, but the rosemary & za'atar chicken was the winner of the two! You can really taste the herbs. Lastly, for dessert we shared the baklava. It came with 4 small bite size baklava with a few scoops of ice cream all topped with extra pistachios. I'm a huge fan of baklava and it was a great way to end dinner. I also have to give a shoutout to the waitress we had, Fatima! Since it was our first time there, almost everything we ordered was based off of her recommendation and we didn't regret it. She was kind enough to give us a sample of the honey harissa to pair with the chicken and it was great choice, I highly recommend trying it. We will absolutely come back again!
