Pair that with great drinks and it made for a really enjoyable meal. Overall, just a great spot if you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food and a good atmosphere in Atlanta. Pera Bistro was just okay overall. The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting, which I appreciated. They also offer hookah and a drink menu that some people may enjoy. The biggest annoyance was the $10 valet parking. Paying $10 just so you don't have to walk a few steps from a nearby parking spot feels excessive. On top of that, a mandatory 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which made the overall experience feel even more overpriced. As for the food, the pasta was overcooked. The lamb chops were overpriced for what they were not bad, but nothing special. I ordered them medium, but they arrived well done, which was disappointing. The rice, however, was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Service was average at best and felt below what I'd expect considering the prices, valet fee, and mandatory gratuity. Very cute choice for my friend's birthday party. The aesthetic was everything, and they have a great DJ. Neon signs, low and moody lighting, plush and pretty seating, a sizable bar area where we hung out and ordered drinks while our table was prepared, and a couple of huge dining rooms with high ceilings. The front room was actually mostly glass and kind of gave greenhouse vibes (fantastic natural light if you dine there during the day). From the drinks to the apps and entrees, the presentation was there. To give perspective, my drink was set on fire. Get the Blazen if you like a little pomp and circumstance with your delicious cocktail. You're welcome! The only thing I would say is, I brought my friend a gift bag that contained a small bottle of champagne (no intention of opening it, of course). I think there are more hospitable ways of keeping unwanted outside items out of the dining area than the way I was initially handled. You can just inform patrons of your policy and offer to hold it at the hostess stand until after the experience. I was eventually offered this option after a lot of discussion amongst the staff while I stood there (and once they saw that my ride had already left and I had nowhere to take the bag). But the first reaction was to try to stop me at the door in a very bouncer-ish way. If an establishment hosts large groups, people may naturally bring gifts (once again, with no intention of breaking any policies). I've had multiple dishes here, I usually get pasta, but next time I plan to try the burger next. My entire table ordered burgers and they looked so good. I love coming here to grab food and drinks with my friends. They do have hookah for those who partake, and they also have a lot of space inside which is nice since many restaurants begin to feel overly crowded. They offer valet parking but I usually find street parking nearby. I have been here once with a large group of people and the staff was exceptionally accommodating and efficient. Not the best menu for picky eaters. One person from our party did have plastic in her food and everyone that ordered lamb chops (no matter how they asked for them to be cooked) said that they were tough. The parking is typical for venues in the city (valet or street and risk boots). The lighting is extremely dim throughout the entire restaurant so it's hard to take quality photos if that matters to you. Definitely not a place I would dine at frequently. read more

There is a valet, a doorman and the vibe is very lounge like. They have hookah so be considerate of that. It is pricey, so be prepared to spend some money for a quality experience. Because it was my first time, I made an effort to try small plates and taste multiple different things so the next time I could try something different. The wagyu meatballs were good but if you know food, you know it is just a wagyu label. It is likely just a higher graded beef. However, the sauce was the star of the show. The truffle fries weren't very truffley lol. But I am big on truffle so I love the flavor in excess. If you like a more subtle flavor, then these are for you. Now to the drinks, the drinks were great. I love anything with ginger so I got the ginger bug. Not really like a mule, but it was sweeter and the ice bowl was dope. That Faroush salad had way too much vinegar and a friend in my group also said her salad was too strong as well. The sidecar I ordered tasted like straight Hennessy.
