A little warm inside and a lot of warm outdoors on the night we visited. Temperature comfort aside, our Saturday evening at Kurt's was divine. Drinks at the bar were well mixed and delivered by friendly bartenders. We are not fans of the stainless steel martini glasses, so we'll request glassware on our next visit. Dinners were absolutely five star, and so was Mary, our server. Ribeye, medium rare, filet... same way, accompanied by side salads, potato choices, and a shared order of coconut shrimp. No room for dessert this time. I was delighted by the garnish of pea shoots on the plate of shrimp...it's hard to find that delightful delicacy and I enjoyed it.

This is a fun spot - the waitstaff are approachable and helpful. The bar is a little crowded, but well stocked and a good place to wait for a table. You'll have to wait a bit for that table, it seems, even with a reservation. This may have more to do with staffing than any delay in efficiency. The food is very good - I had a filet - and the portions are generous given the cost. And the rat pack vibes pull out the essence of a hood Wisconsin supper club. We'll be back for special occasions.

5 oz beef filet, garlic, mashed potatoes, and a stack onion rings.

The service was great, the food was delicious , favorite was the garlic mashed potatoes. Definitely need to have the recipe. We were seated right next to the bar, wish we could've had a little bit more of a private seating area, since we were celebrating our four years anniversary. The tables seem a little close together and depending on where you seated, you have to choose opposite seats. I was sitting right next to where they punch in the orders. Overall, an amazing experience and will definitely go again for those mashed potatoes.

Kurt's has been our family's special occasion restaurant for over 20 years, we have never had a bad meal here, ribeye and blackened ribeye are our go to choices, crab stuffed mushrooms are always excellent, always good service, we have our anniversary coming up and will coming back.

Mixed feelings, we expected a more intimate setting. We got a local crowded place with mostly good food. The tables were crowded together. We could have been ok with it except for 1 loud mouth woman a table or 2 from us. We could overhear her above the other 5 or 6 tables in the room. Our Old Fashions did not taste like our usual. The calamari were overcooked. Rest of the food was delicious. The bread was hot and fresh, and the salads were bright and fresh also. Our steaks had a nice flavorful crust on them and cooked a perfect rare. The Parmesan Au gratin potatoes were delicious, too.

12oz ribeye, Parmesan potatoes and onion rings

Great food and good service - no complaints at all! Had French onion soup and 12oz ribeye - steak was done perfectly and soup was delicious! Also came with onion rings which were also good but was too full to finish them... bartender (Vince I think) was great and very responsive. Would recommend - and I will absolutely return next time I am back in town!

Completely redone by the experienced folks with the Bartolotta Group, the space is a knock-out! My spouse and I arrived early and grabbed some drinks at the expansive bar overlooking the lake. The staff was warm and engaging, and I'm difficult, asking tons of questions and making irreverent comments. They rolled along, laughing and adding to our good time. I'm always wary in Lake Country, because my politics and affect differ from the majority, but the Commodore makes no distinctions. When our friends arrived, we grabbed a table and had a fantastic meal. Our Wiener Schnitzel was great, and our friends raved about the Beef Wellington. Service at the table was professional and well-trained. Maybe because I travel and have lived in several metropolitan areas, I found the prices more than reasonable for the gestalt experience. In fact, I think the Commodore is one of the best restaurants in the Milwaukee Metro. Bravo!

We took our time and enjoyed each course, and also the ability to have easy conversations in a nicely quiet room. The Old Fashioned drinks were done well, and the entire evening was very nice. The fish buffet was held upstairs with a beautiful view of Nagawicka Lake. The tables are spaced apart nicely and the service was attentive. There is an elevator for those who need accessibility, as well as restrooms that are spacious for wheelchair access. There is plenty of parking.

It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze. Everything was delicious. Dessert - The restaurant was kind enough to serve my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday. It was amazing, but we were so full we could only manage a few bites. Will definitely be back!!

It was an early seating 5:00. We were guided through a fairly empty dining room to the upstairs room. There was one couple already seated in an otherwise empty room. We were seated immediately next to them..... we may as well have been sitting at their table. I not only thought this strange but actually a bit rude. But, I did not make an objection. The food at this restaurant is always good and the wild game selection along with the specials are usually the good bets. In the past the wine list was more cost friendly but still not bad. My only criticism of the menu is the rather limited appetizer selection. Our entrees were very good but overall the experience was stilted by the poor judgement of the hostess serving us.

Great place for a special occasion, but they don't hit it out of the ballpark every time...maybe 4 out of 5 (hence 4 stars). The food at Palmer's has always been very good. My wife and I have only ever had steak here as entrees. My go to is a med-rare ribeye and my wife always goes with a mid-well filet butterflied (I know, I know...shaking my head as I type that). They also have a really good tomato and fresh mozzarella salad that is a great starter (the balsamic is what makes it stand out). Service here is pretty spot on the majority of the time and all of the people that we have interacted with have been friendly. It can get relatively loud if you are sitting in the main dining room area, and this is where we have always been seated.
