Our server was friendly and the food came out quickly. Portions were solid for the price, too. My husband ordered the combo fried rice, and the protein-to-rice ratio was spot on. He polished off the entire plate, so I'm going to take that as a pretty good endorsement! I had the Chinese beef burrito as an appetizer, and the flavor was really good... BUT--and this is a big but--it was served COLD. I was absolutely not prepared for that. I expected a hot, crispy, savory little package of deliciousness and instead got a cold burrito. I even looked it up afterward, and apparently these are traditionally served hot. I would have 100% preferred it hot. I ate half, took the rest home, tossed it in the air fryer, and WOW. My family of four came in on a Thursday evening. It wasn't busy, and rather a seat-yourself type of deal. Everyone greets you. Along with quick and straight-to-the-point service. The establishment was well lit and clean, from what we experienced. We ordered quite a bit, all was fresh and great tasting. We enjoyed this place. Definitely will be our new soup dumpling place. We tried the stir-fried green beans, spicy wontons, homemade-style cucumber, steamed chicken with chili sauce, dry spicy chicken, and the traditional soup dumplings. The soup dumplings were definitely one of my favorites -- so flavorful and satisfying. The green beans and dry spicy chicken were also fantastic, and the steamed chicken had a great kick without being overwhelming. The only thing that was just okay were the spicy wontons. They weren't bad, but compared to everything else we had, they were pretty average. Overall, though, this was a great meal and I'd definitely come back. Still stringy (old?), not tender and no crisp snap you expect from Asian style green beans. The spicy wonton was probably the worst I've ever had. The Chinese cucumber salad was refreshing and flavorful. The spicy fried chicken dish was also yummy but could have had more chicken. After going to church on Father's Day, this place was the choice of DAD! It is located at the corner Sahara and Fort Apache with easy parking, very easy to find. Walking in, we see a large fun ceramic dumpling that certainly caught my eye. We were kindly seated right away. The decor and atmosphere is attractive, along with lighting and bold plant themed wallpaper high on the walls. We were served water right away and our order was taken in a timely manner. I was impressed and I know I would visit again. Of course, we had to try the soup dumplings. They are made right in house and you can watch them make the dumplings through a big window. I'm so happy that my husband and I stumbled across this restaurant because it's just so unbelievably good. This was our first time eating here and the service was top notch. Our server immediately greeted us and let us know which items were highly recommended. We decided to go with the Traditional Soup Dumplings, Spicy Wontons, Chicken Garlic Sauce and the House Special Chow Mein. All of the food came out in a timely manner and it looked absolutely amazing. We tried the wontons first and they had a perfectly balanced flavor profile not too spicy, not too sweet. The soup dumplings tasted very good but the dough was just a tad bit on the thicker side giving it more of a chewier texture. The chow mein had a signature smoky flavor from the wok that mingled so well with the other ingredients, I couldn't stop eating it. My husband absolutely loved the main chicken dish and said the meat was so tender and the sauce was so flavorful. I found my new spot away from Chinatown that makes delicious XLB!!! Xlb's are much bigger and juicier than those found at Xio Long Bao. Flavor is so spot on for the Original Soup Dumplings and very tasty!!!! I ordered the shrimp fried rice which was good but nothing extra exciting on the flavor and the Chicken Kung Pao was also good but missing the red peppers. I rounded this up from a 3.5. It's a super cute spot, located in the Albertsons shopping center on Sahara and ft Apache. We went for a late lunch, so it wasn't very busy. The service was good, Coke was served in a can with a cup to pour it in- no worries there. The service here is quick and friendly, you don't have to wait long for your food. It's a big space so there's plenty of seats. The place is nice and clean. Got the beef burrito, traditional soup dumplings, walnut shrimp, and the king pao noodles. The menu is extensive. This place is more like an enhanced Panda Express. The dishes are more Americanize , so they are sweeter. They don't use MSG and they highlight it on their menu. Also the menu pricing is off for the tea. On the receipt it is 2.75 not 1.75 like on the menu. The walnut shrimp is generous but the walnut is extremely sweet. Comes with a bowl of rice. The sauce is also sweeter than normal. Maybe sweeter than Panda Express. I like the presentation, how they have the broccoli spread out. I would not order it again, but those who prefer sweeter food might like it. The kungpao noodle is like an enhanced Panda Express chow Mein with peanut. It's moist and again very sweet. The soup dumpling's soup is not as clear as normal. I'm not sure if it's cause I'm used to dough zone and ding tai fung, but I tossed the soup. Also the soup dumplings size is really generous. It's the largest I've seen. Lastly was the beef burrito. This is a decent sized Chinese restaurant that sees a combination of dine-in and take-out. Inside, the decor is nice and it has several booths and tables. On a regular weekday night, they had a decent amount of business that occupied over half of the available seating. That was good to see! Being that dumplings is in their name, I decided to try the Xiao Long Dumplings. They take a minute to steam and it does come out with the juices pretty hot inside so you have to think about your technique before biting into it. You might get a surprise squirt! The string beans were delicious. They came out fresh and hot and was accompanied by a bowl of white rice. Wrinkled string beans is one of my favorite dishes anywhere and half the time I order it with a protein. This time it was only the string beans and I loved it. This was the best dish out of all the things we tried. The black pepper beef udon noodles were pretty tasty, but the bummer was that it didn't come out hot. It was very warm, but not hot like I love my noodles. The taste was good - but I just wished for it to be hotter. Lastly, we ended with some potstickers (yes - backwards in ordering it last!). OK, I am in literal shock right now that there is a soup dumpling spot this good in Summerlin, the land of homogeneity. I was hoping for decent, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was on par with restaurants in Chinatown. While all the food was great, the sleeper that I definitely wasn't expecting was the hot and sour fish soup. I don't know what provoked me to want and try it, but I'm so glad that I did. First time here to try out this dumpling and noodle spot not far from Summerlin. Parking is plentiful which is nice. Since we arrived early for lunch on a weekday, there was no wait. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and comfortable seating. There is a huge dumpling by the entrance. The kitchen is visible through glass windows. And there is a little old lady making fresh dumplings on the side of the kitchen. The two of us shared an order of Traditional Soup Dumplings, a Spicy Szechuan Beef Brisket Noodle, and a Lanzhou Noodle. The dumplings were delicious, with plenty of tasty juices and favorable meat. The two noodles were also very good. Even though they use regular store bought noodles instead of hand pulled noodles or hand cut noodles, the texture was still pretty good mainly because they were cooked properly. The Lanzhou Noodle came with three slices of beef shank which were very tender. The broth was very clean and beefy. The Szechuan Beef Brisket Noodle came with a generous amount of tender beef brisket. The spicy broth was very tasty. There was also Shanghainese Bok Choy in both noodles. Service was very courteous and friendly. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. If I were to compare Kungfu Dumplings with Magic Noodle which has been my go to noodle spot, this place is slightly cheaper but the portions are smaller. Magic Noodle has the advantage of having hand pulled and hand cut noodles, but their menu options are limited. Kungfu Dumplings offers very good homemade dumplings and a larger variety of dishes. This is my first time here as you walk in your greeted by a giant dumpling at the front door. We have to sign in and wait for a table. We didn't wait too long less than 10 minutes as this place was really crowded. That's a good sign. We needed a minute to look over the menu as they have a pretty good selection of different types of food. There is lots to choose from. I started with the cream cheese one ton and corn and pork dumpling. Both were excellent choices. Very tasty. For my main dish, we got teriyaki, chicken fried rice and it comes with a bowl of white rice also. They are famous for their soup dumplings here. I didn't get a chance to try it. I was too full. The broccoli was cooked right, not too soggy and the chicken was tasty however the portion is a little small. This is not portioned family style. The beef burrito was tasty as well, it was already seasoned so you don't need an oyster sauce dip. I ordered seafood noodle soup, I can only eat half because it was in a big bowl, They put a variety of seafood like squid, lots of fish and shrimp, a big cut of scallop and imitation crab. While the chicken was passable, the vegetables were horrible. First, there was just onion and peppers, plus a tiny bit of fungus. No broccoli, carrot, or water chestnuts that we've gotten at other places. But worse, the onions and peppers were practically raw, which to me are nearly inedible. I love well-cooked onions, but can't tolerate raw ones. The Chow Mein was pathetic. Noodles, lots of noodles. But I needed a microscope to find the chicken, beef and shrimp that were supposed to be there. There were exactly two tiny shrimp, one for each of us, a few dabs of beef and chicken, and that's it. The only good thing is that I asked for low sodium soy sauce, and thankfully, the dish wasn't overly salty. I was hoping to have a new go-to restaurant, but this didn't cut it. read more
