Found a nice hot pot near Summerlin. The service was a bit slow. But, our server was so nice and stayed calm. It was just him And the owner. It's a very simple menu. All you can eat and u get ur own personal pot for ur broth. Can't wait to go back again. If you like whiskey they got a nice variety. They have a pretty decent noodle selection and sides.
We were in the mood for hot pot on a Monday afternoon and searched for somewhere different. Square Shabu did not disappoint at all! There are two menu options, one for $32, and the other for $42 which also comes with a signature side and upgraded meat options. We opted for the $42 offering and boy howdy, we threw down hard! Great meat options, and all the self serve noodles and vegetables you can stuff into your body. We loved it here! We came around 3pm so not busy which allows us to see how clean this Shabu spot is. Very impressive, and the owner of this restaurant, Zheng Ji, was our server and such a nice, genuine person! We have a new favorite hot pot place here in Vegas, this is a must visit!
Found Square shabu because we wanted to go to a hot pot place with separate pots for each person. Square shabu is nestled in a quiet plaza in Summerlin. They had some deals on alcohol going on, $3 whiskey shots (1 per person) going on. There are 2 tiers of AYCE and the difference is 3 better beef options, a special dish (one of the beef tataki, or bone marrow, wasabi octopus etc). The vegetable and hot pot items are self-serve. We got the more expensive option to try it out and the meat were pretty good. I got the beef tataki and it was quite tender and delicious. The bone marrow took an hour but my friend enjoyed it, it was pretty big, with lots of bone marrow. I think what stands out for Square shabu is their sides, they had the potato tornado, and many other sides that were not as common in other ayce places. Overall, not bad, I think next time, if we do come back, we will get the standard option. I feel that the expensive option needs to have like a soft drink station too otherwise felt like the difference did not justify the premium price.
This was my first time at Square Shabu, and I had a nice experience overall. I went with the $32.99 menu and tried the tonkatsu broth, which was good, though I had to add some chili oil to get more flavor. My bf got the spicy broth, which I actually preferred. I tried all the meats on the menu and my favorites were definitely the beef brisket and toro -- both were tender. For appetizers, I didn't try much but had the tornado potato and Cajun fries, and both were really good. The service was nice, and our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt clean and comfortable, and had good options for sauces and vegetables. Overall, a solid first visit!
We came here to celebrate on my birthday and were not disappointed. We had to make a reservation to ensure that our party could be accommodated. Unfortunately we had to change that # (increase) and ended up being able to switch to a bigger party for a 7pm reservation. The server was pretty patient since there were 11 of us and had not yet been to this AYCE spot. She was explaining about the different soup bases and meal options (upgrade to seafood or premium or meats or the regular meats). One person opted for the seafood which came with a nice presentation. While the rest of us got our trays of thinly sliced meats. We got it all: Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken Breast, veggies, some appetizers and different noodles. I opted for Miso broth and Dashi mushroom. Honestly I feel like it was all pretty tasty. The server came to check in on us regularly but we were in the zone with all the cooking and eating. They had at least 10 other tables aside from where we sat and during busier times I cs an see how a 90 minute time limit would be necessary. For dessert we mostly opted for the ice cream-- green tea was pretty hard but the other flavors were fine. The tarot ball took a bit of time too bring out because of the prep time. Unfortunately we were all too full to take advantage of their extensive whiskey and pours they had to offer. They even had some $4 featured whiskey and scotch pours at the front of the restaurant. I will definitely come back and visit again. I had a blast and the service was amazing!
This place is awesome.You're stupid if you don't come here right away. The food is high quality.The service is strong and the whiskey collection is amazing. Everyone gets their own pot of soup and they keep the servings of meat coming. Unlike other places that slow down throughout the meal. Seriously, this place is amazing. Family-owned and operated. Support neighborhood restaurants.
We tried Square Shabu for the first time and opted for the highest tier. Our waitress seated us right away and took our order. It wasn't busy when we arrived, but it started filling up as we were leaving. We really enjoyed the premium options. I liked the premium seafood platter the most, and my husband said the meat quality was better than other places he's tried. I liked that I could make and mix my own sauce to my taste. You also grab your own veggies and noodles, which is great because you can take exactly what you want. Our waitress was super nice and gave great recommendations. The inside is clean, has a good amount of space, and we'll definitely be back.
I went to the Dim Sum Cafe next door multiple times, I didn't even realize this place was here. I spoke to the sever she told me they been there since Dec, 2024, seriously? To me this spot consider a corner store, this is actually the 2nd times I seen a corner stores that haven't been discover. So if you just drove by, you will never see this place, unless you like me you found this on Yelp, and you go directly there. It was 1pm in the afternoon on a Monday, the place is pretty empty, only have another 2 tables The place is really nice, decor is awesome, and is clean. Lunch special was $27.99, dinner have 2 options $34.99 and $42.99 Please don't follow the pricing I wrote on here, go check out the menu page on here, I know I'm close to the price, but maybe couple dollars off. I can't remember is $32.99 or $34.99 But you can see the menu on here, is pretty current Service is really nice, the server is friendly, and when my glass is empty, she refill right the way. The buffet table mainly vegetables, all you can eat, meats, depending on which options you chose, also all you can eat, base soup. I do have 2 things I'm not a fan 1. The heater took awhile to heat up, like almost 8-10 mins The server came back and check on me. Is everything okay? I'm like I dunno, I'm still waiting for my soup to heat up. lol 2. The sauce section, you push open the sliding door, but is directly below your waist, so if you look down and talking at the same time, all people spits will be in the sauce. Overall, great place, good food
Chinese fusion...Shabu Shabu!!! Yes, yes and thank you!!! Really clean cute space!!! Staff were amazing, friendly and super helpful!! AYCE with three price points but went with lighter lunch menu option and only $27.99!!! Spicy soup base dialed down to Medium heat was delicious and perfection with all the mushroom veggies added with Napa cabbage!! Toro beef, Beef round and Beef shoulder plus some lamb was more than enough beef options for me and was pretty good!! Pleasantly surprised and definitely overate but highly recommended!!! FYI....Daily drink specials to boot, especially if your a whiskey, bourbon or scotch drinker? This spot has a great variety to choose from!!
I really enjoyed this place. We were a party of 3 and arrived for late lunch around 2:30pm. I think like most AYCE, everyone has to order from the same AYCE menu. We decided to go with the lunch AYCE for $27.99. This is a smaller menu than regular AYCE for dinner, but I thought this menu was fantastic and still included a great variety of food! The lunch menu includes a variety of beef, pork, and lamb. They have a wonderful bar with plenty of vegetables and mushrooms as well as a great variety of sauces and noodles on the other side. Now I've been to other shabu / hot pot places. I think some of the other places are a bit excessive with the amount of offerings, and I think this place had the perfect amount of offerings. I got the tonkatsu broth, which was very flavorful and creamy. From the appetizers, the mushroom skewers were my favorite. It's lightly battered with tempura (I think) and has a sweet and salty taste to it. I can't remember how many I ordered because it was so good. We tried all the meats and all were delicious, except the pork. The pork was just okay. I think it's because it was very lean. The beef and lamb were fantastic though. For dessert, we had mini fried buns, which came with two per person. You can also get other desserts that are not included such as ice cream for $1.99. I thought the mini buns were okay. It comes drizzled with condensed milk. It was a bit too sweet in my opinion. For the sauces, I had the peanut, chili oil, and their house special soy sauce. Service was fast and friendly. It was hardly busy when we arrived for late lunch. I would love to come back again for their dinner menu.
Found this new restaurant near a dim sum place we frequented before. I don't do hot pots very often other than at a home setting. This restaurant is a good way to do hot pot without all the work a prep. What's most important for a good hotpot is having lamb, it's the perfect meat because lamb is fatty er than other meats due to the other meats seem to have a dryer texture when used in hotpot. This restaurant is reasonably priced and the ingredients are pretty top notch. They don't have a huge variety of vegetables but napa cabbage is sufficient enough.
Went in for lunch with a party of 6 on Saturday afternoon and had an amazing experience. Let me just say this, it is so nice to have this gem of AYCE hotpot in Summerlin! The location is easy to find with ample parking up front. My friend made our reservation for 1pm, however we were running a little behind (shocker lol), the team was understanding and still held our table for us. As we were seated, we noticed that each person would get their own individual burner + pot! A total win for convenience instead of needing to split a pot and potentially spilling your soup as you transfer your food. The variety of broths were amazing, something on the list for everyone! I opted for the Specialty Spicy and my boyfriend opted for Sukiyaki, he said it was one of the best sukiyaki broth's he's ever had! The spicy for me was perfect, the right amount of heat without feeling sweat beads rolling down your head or tongue going numb, mixed with the perfect flavor. There are two menu options, deluxe or premium, of course our party opted for the premium, especially after seeing the seafood option! Meat selection was nice and fresh, and was even cut to order! You order your meats and select appetizers from the servers, but they have their veggie, sauce and noodle bar off to the side for your own DIY enjoyment. It started to get a little busy as we were leaving a couple of hours later, with happy tummies and the excitement to recommend Square Shabu to everyone!
Came here with my girlfriend and was not disappointed! Really enjoyed the clean minimalistic decor, great service, and high quality selection of meats, appetizers, and skewers! We tried the tonkotsu and house spicy soup and thought both were delicious! We also tried the chicken, eggplant, mushrooms, and tofu skewers and all of them were bomb. They were lightly fried and drizzled with a nice glaze. The meats were all tasty, vegetables were fresh, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving some bomb Shabu!

I found this place on YELP. There were quite a lot of options for Shabu Shabu in Las Vegas. This one is located off the strip and about 20 minutes away. What got my attention on Yelp was the skewers. It's a great combo to have skewers and Shabu Shabu... MENU OPTIONS: They have several options to start with. You have a choice of the "Lunch special" deal on weekdays for $27.99, then there's another option for $35.99 and $42.99 for more additional items and premium meats or seafood (note that there are no oysters)... AMBIANCE: 9/10 The ambiance was nice and spacious. Great for group gatherings or date night. Everything looked pretty clean and it was not crowded... Me and my hubby enjoyed the skewers very much. The Shabu Shabu was good and it's worth trying if you like skewers as well. The sauce were a bit watered down. I spotted an ingredient that I usually don't find much which Is bamboo... I would classify Square Shabu as an upscale hotpot restaurant. Everything was very clean and well organized. The portions were also good sized allowing you to try a lot of different items. You have three menu choices: $27.99 for lunch; $32.99 deluxe; $42.99 premium. We tried the lunch menu and were very happy. I got the Sukiyaki soup base and my wife got the House Miso. We had plenty of portions of the beef toro and beef shoulder clod. Because they were out of round, they substituted brisket. We also tried the shrimp, clams and mussels. The vegetable bar was self serve and well stocked. The side bar had a lot of choices, too. This is definitely a place you should try. read more

Really enjoyed the experience here. This is my favorite hotpot/Shabu spot in town. There's a really wonderful selection of meats and veggies and sauces. Broths are good and the biggest thing is individual hot pots. Riley is a wonderful and pleasant server and always made sure we were ok. Whiskey/Bourbon lovers I got to try some Stagg here for the first time. There's some pretty cool bottles here and the owner Gavin here seems to be a connoisseur! Thank you for a wonderful meal and allowing me to try some really good whiskey. Will be back soon read more
So elated to have tried a new shabu restaurant that is so close to our house! We were craving for hot soup on a cold fall night. My hubby & I took our boy toddler for family dinner outing. The staffs were very polite & efficient. The inside was clean & modern. They also have a little self-serve station with a myriad of noodles (including instant ramen); Chinese hot pot sauces, fresh herbs, etc. The menu was on a smaller scale with a ton of beef cuts, and two seafood options (shrimp & squid). We paid $32 per adult for AYCE. We didn't order any seafood since we have to be vigilant about our cholesterol levels. They offered a few appetizers, as well as skewers. We ordered the spiral potato skewer, edamame & gyoza for our son. We also gave him some of our ramen noodle, which he loved. I really liked the tofu skewer & fish ball skewer too. Everything tasted fresh & delicious. We will take my parents with us on a future visit. read more

Thank you Gavin and Riley for the outstanding food and service. I'm so happy to have finally found a Hot Pot restaurant outside of Chinatown that I would gladly frequent. The Japanese-Chinese fusion hot pot is by far my favorite. My son and I enjoyed the Sukiyaki and the Miso options for the soup base: the flavor of the soups were spot-on. Our favorite meats were the Beef Toro (beef belly) and the Rocket Squid. Your appetizers were also so tasty. We can't wait to visit again. I'm getting hungry just typing this review. read more
Love this spot. Our new top Chinese/Japanese style hot pot. Terrific value, large selection on meat and seafood. There are plenty of cooked appetizers, skewers, side dishes, and even a self served sauce bar and veggies & proteins bar. The portions here are generous with little to no wait. We used to drive down to C-town and go through the stress of no reservation taken, long waitlist, overworked servers, greasy slippery floors. Square Shabu is the opposite. Venue is clean. Table and plates are spotless. There are plenty of parking spots. The reorder is very quick between order time and when the dishes arrive. We bring so many friends here since we discovered it. The best part is the liquor selection. Gavin the owner of the restaurant is a huge connoisseur of whiskeys from around the world. We have tried so many delightful aged Japanese whisky here with our meal. Tonight we sampled a Yamazaki barrel aged plum whisky (yum). You will not be disappointed with the food or service here. Summer hours are extended until 10pm. P.s. the jazz music here is fantastic. read more

This amazing hotpot restaurant is a little way out of town but worth the trip. It's a modern, clean restaurant in a strip mall serving up all you can eat hotpot. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful and there's a choice of two menus deluxe and premium (which includes deluxe). We had premium so that we could taste the wagyu beef which was amazing. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You got to try it!! (shout out to Andrew and the owner Zheng). read more

Our first Hot Pot! It was so good, and we had to come back a week later so we could feel like we were kind of knowing what we were doing lol. So, sooo good! The staff is also very pleasant. Stumbled upon this place when my boyfriend and i were looking for new restaurant in the area to try out. The service was amazing and the food was even better. We brought our friends here the second time we ate here and it was their first ever hot pot experience and again, the service and food was nothing less than great! I love how they have an unlimited sauce and sides bar! Gavin, i think he is the owner, even gave us a free shot as we were celebrating our friend's first time at a hot pot restaurant. The employees all really made us feel comfortable and at home. Definitely my go to hotpot place! I could eat here even on the hottest days! read more

If you are looking for authentic hot pot AKA shabu shabu, Square Shabu is the place! The small business owner Gavin is very friendly and checks on customers himself to make sure everyone is having a good time and leaves with a full belly. I love the individual personal hot pots of soup so everyone in your party can have what they want. Meat quality is top notch. I highly recommend the wagyu brisket, so very flavorful and it was my favorite. They also have lamb, but we were too full to try it. I got the mushroom dashi broth and it was perfect. There are a large variety of sides and skewers. I really enjoyed the fish skin, which has the texture of jellyfish and the owner was telling me the sauce is made from sechuan peppercorns which gives a fun numbing of the mouth with the spice. Lots of veggies and items you can add to your soup. Sauce bar is on point with a special homemade sesame sauce that Gavin the owner perfected. And try the house soy sauce too. For the sides we got the beef tataki, sweet shrimp, and they had a special of roasted bone marrow. Highly recommend! For dessert I had to ask what the taro balls were. It's a fried ball with taro inside and is drizzled with chocolate sauce. If taro isn't your thing, they have a variety of ice cream too. Excellent way to end a meal. For drinks there is a large selection of beer, sake, soju, and whiskey. Best whiskey selection at a hot pot place I have seen in Nevada and California. All pours are 10-25 bucks, very reasonable for some of the hard to find and international pours. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu! read more

Came here on a Sunday, I was quite surprised how empty it was but it was fine for me since I like it nice and quiet. I like their sauce station, I'm from Taiwan so I love some cilantro for my sauce, most of the all you can eat hotpot place don't provide cilantro, another plus is that they actually have white vinegar too, both my favorite when it comes to my sauce. I got their premium menu and tried all their meats except for the chicken. Meats are good but nothing super impressive in my opinion. I got their signature spicy soup base, it was decently spicy and got enough flavor for my meat so no complaints there. For my appetizer, I got their Cajun fries, stuffed tofu and tornado potato, I like the tornado potato the most, but I would recommend if you want to order that, don't come here by yourself, I came solo and the tornado potato comes with 2 sticks, it also kinda overlapped with the Cajun fries. Now the highlight of the day was actually their taro ball. It's nice and crunchy, also tasted like taro not ube. The only thing that I think this place should work on is their service. The guy who greeted me looked like the owner or could be a manager? I'm not sure, but I wasn't really being served at all the whole time I was there and I was the only table. Wanted to share a hot pot experience with family and stopped by this new hot pot spot in Summerlin during our visit to Vegas. It was fairly quiet and not at all crowded. Felt very intimate and staff were kind in explaining the process. We went for the premium option since we all love seafood. Many options to choose from. Cooking your own soup was simply an experience in itself. If you've never tried, I highly recommend it. Multiple add on spices and types of noodles to choose from too. I enjoyed it greatly and would return. My only recommendation would be to improve the dessert options. We all opted for the ice cream but it's a small store bought single scoop cup and we expected perhaps a better presentation of the dessert. Other than that, staff are excellent at taking plates out of the way and coming around consistently to see if anything else is needed. read more

This was our first time at Square Shabu. We dined early so it was fairly slow when we walked in. It was a beautiful modern room with both booths and half booths. They have a choice of two levels of AYCE Shabu menus. The Deluxe is $32.99/ person and the Premium is $42.99/person. The Premium includes everything in the deluxe plus American wagyu, Lamb, premium ribeye , seafood platter and some others. They also had a large selection of appetizers like potstickers and an assortment of fried skewers. The takoyaki was a hit with my family. There is sauce bar with the traditional ponzu and sesame sauce with the addition of chili sauce, garlic, daikon, green onions and steamed rice. Each person gets their own pot and choice of broth. I'm traditional so I ordered the dash with mushrooms. It is the mildest of all the broths. The other options are actually more like Chinese hotpot. Tomato or spicy choices. The Premium Ribeye was the cut of choice. It was properly cut paper thin so it only takes a few seconds to cook. The fish balls were a big surprise. They are a definite can't miss. They were stuffed with I think fish eggs . It had the coloring of uni and gave it a wonderful burst of flavor. Not too strong subtle but delicious. Our server Bayu was very attentive and a really nice guy. I would give the quality of the Meat 4 stars, Vegetables 5 stars, Seafood 4 stars, Sauces 5 stars, Service 5 stars. Decor 5 stars. Green tea ice cream 5 stars I enjoyed my dinner and can recommend it for a nice place to have Shabu Shabu on the Westside of town. read more

Such a hidden gem in a quiet area! Their buffet setup is simple but has everything you need. The owner always serve us and he's sense of humor makes the experience wholesome!! The menu is super clean and very well organized. My favorite broth is always the tomato -- it's absolutely on point! I wish I had more photos, but honestly, I was too busy eating. As much as I would like to gatekeep this place because I don't want their prices to go up in a month or two, I want to share my experience here having dinner last night. I was looking for a new place to try and saw Square shabu pop up on my Yelp, so I took my wife and I here Saturday night. The place wasn't too busy (the area is a bit hidden) and we were seated right away. Riley was our server and I think he was the only server in the place for the most part of our dinner. Despite that, he provided us with amazing service throughout the meal. We were never left wanting. They only really serve 4 types of beef and pork shoulder plus a couple of seafood items on their 32.99 menu, but it was sufficient in filling us up as we probably ordered 10 rounds of 2 items each. I made up my own sauce consisting of ponzu, garlic, and green chili and it was heaven on earth. The meats they serve are really high quality, and please don't overcook them. They also have sake and beer, so the place felt authentically Japanese. For dessert, I beg you to please get the deep fried taro balls. They are life changing. I was telling Riley that I don't think I've ever had anything like that for dessert anywhere else in Vegas. The ambiance also brought me back to Japan, just having been there a month ago. I will definitely be back to Square and am telling you Summerlin people to skip Chinatown and not sleep on this place. read more

Conveniently located in Summerlin instead of having to drive to China town, this is a fantastic spot you will frequent. A spotless environment, which is paramount in the restaurant world. Their broths are spectacular and their additional sauce and vegetable bar allow you to jazz up your experience. All you can eat wagyu cuts and the seafood platter are perfect for any occasion. Service is fantastic and the owner chef will stop by your table to ensure your satisfied. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

We went with the premium menu and overall had a great experience. Each person gets their own personal broth, which we loved since there was no need to agree on one flavor. We chose the signature spicy and sukiyaki broths. The sukiyaki was definitely the standout, super sweet, rich, and flavorful. We tried a variety of meats including premium ribeye, American wagyu brisket, beef brisket, American wagyu clod, and beef toro. All were high quality and cooked beautifully in the broth. The premium menu also included a seafood platter, which was a nice bonus. We also had the beef tataki, which had good flavor but was a bit too chewy for our taste. The gyoza was really good, crispy and flavorful. We also got the tornado potato. My boyfriend really liked it but I didn't love it. There is a self service area where you can grab your own veggies, noodles, and sauces. I highly recommend the ponzu sauce as it paired perfectly with the meats. Our server was incredibly sweet and helpful, walking us through the menu and making great suggestions. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pork belly buns were sold out and so were the taro balls which we were excited to try, and the tataki wasn't great texture wise. Still, we enjoyed everything else and would definitely come back! read more

I believe they only have one vegetable stock option? Otherwise it's typically pork, chicken or fish stock? But you can always spice up the veggie stock with Chinese spice
