Wowowow what a nice place. Plenty of Udon, Curry, and Donburi choices. I had the Katsudon and it was great. Massive portion for $11.
These are serious servings of katsu curry and there is plenty to enjoy as dine in and take some to go also. Good flavor. Food court seating. We didn't have a problem finding parking. Please come and create your own adventure.
Curry Ya is located in the Cheongdam Food Hall. I came specifically to try the beef gyudon bowl after seeing a post on social media. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Customer service was great. The bowl was $10.95 and it comes with a miso soup and cabbage salad as well. The beef was cooked with onions and served with a side of pickled ginger on top of a generous portion of rice. The beef was tasty and I really liked the ginger. The sauce on the cabbage salad was really good. Overall this meal is so worth it for the price! I would get it again.
We came for lunch and I had the Beef Gyudon meal that came w soup and salad. husband had the ramen next to it, I'm a fan of gyudon and honestly had made it at home multiple times but we were in the area and I saw a video on line that this was like $11 and you get salad on side and soup so why not seemed like a good deal. Place wasn't too busy when we came, service was good the guy who took my order was friendly and helpful. Food came out probably less than two minutes,I really enjoyed the cabbage salad w the sesame dressing, soup was ok and the gyudon beef it self was good only think I would say there was too much rice on the bowl less beef. Other wise everything was good I mean it is only $11 for all so I guess I can't complain too much ambiance? Well it is a food hall so it can get crowded, seatings are pretty close to each other, parking can be tough and place can get loud.
I'm sorry in advance as this review was written in a hangry state of mind. I work in the industry. I'm hungry and was craving something in the Cheongdam Hall. The whole experience was idiculous. The girl that dropped off my food tray spilled my Miso soup. Just said oops. Didn't replace it. Also. I understand it's close to closing time, but please explain the thinking of serving a wet salad to a guest? I know the difference between a salad dressing and salad that's just sat and the water wasn't drained from the salad. I also requested extra ginger. Saw the cashier type it in. Never got it. Had to get it myself. Really? I tipped for the service I expected and this is what I get. And another thing. This is when you know there's no manager on duty. The girl that dropped off my food had waist length hair. Not pulled back in to a bun. How i would have loved to have found her hair on my food so I could have taken a picture of that.
Amazing value for their curry here for the price. The curry comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. Full meal for under $15? Yes, please! Curry Ya seems to be one of the busier eateries here, which makes sense. They are mostly quick, and the portions are very generous for the price. At least the curries are. The udons might be a different story. We got here before they open, so before 11am and got a table. By the time we left around noon, the place filled up so fast that people were waiting for tables. They have different spice levels. Heard their regular had some spice, and since I like spicy, I got their level 3. Surprisingly it wasn't spicy (to me). Will try the one beyond that if available next time. We got chicken curry and chicken katsu curry. Chicken itself was a bit dry, but the curry really helped. It was pretty standard Japanese curry, similar to those blocks you buy and make your own curry, but higher rating for the value here. The miso soup and salad were good and went well with the saltiness of the curry. Well lit area too, so no prob if you're able to get a table. We also got their takoyaki and fries. The fries were a bit sad, but takoyaki was standard / good.
My husband got the Katsu curry. He really liked it. We also ordered sides of Gyoza & Karaage. Gyoza was very flavorful. Honestly, the best one I've eaten in a long time! Shot out to that!
I love this place. I wish you could call in an order for pick up though. The door dash prices are about $4 more per plate. Parking is a pain so be prepared for that. But the food is worth it.
Located inside the Cheodong Food Hall. The space is shared with other Asian themed restaurants. Came back because a friend wanted to try it out. Had the Udon Noodles. The broth was delicious, however just wished there was more meat. Friendly service overall.
Located in the Cheongdam Food hall. Food is consistently good. Lots of seating at this location since it's located in the food-hall. Service is good and food comes out fairly quick. Definitely worth trying. They also have another location in Chinatown(decatur/spring mtn)
Curry Ya is one of the many curry spots sprouting around Las Vegas and is located inside the Cheongdam Food Hall. Inside, you'll see that there are plenty of seating. But since it's shared with all the neighboring restaurants, it could get pretty limited when it's busy. Service is quick and friendly as you just order at the counter, take your number, and have a seat. Once your food is ready, it would be brought out. I came to eat here when they first opened and ordered the Japanese Pork Katsu Curry. The portions are pretty big and for the price, it's a good deal since it comes with salad and miso soup on the side. There isn't anything that stands out otherwise with the flavor, so it's not a bad option to visit whenever you're craving katsu curry and in the area without venturing too southwest or into Chinatown. However, my 2nd visit was where my main complaints are. I was starving and craving curry on my way home from work, so I decided to order takeout. It didn't take long for it to be ready for pick up. But you can only imagine how disappointed and frustrated I was to find that half the miso soup actually spilled onto my fabric seat and soaked through. When I took it out, the lid was still on completely but because it's made of FLIMSY plastic (even flimsier due to the heat of the soup) over a paper cup, it leaked out. Furthermore, there was a piece of hair stuck to the lid of my salad. Although it's not IN the salad, when the lid is closed, it is touching said salad. Please invest in better to-go containers to avoid this possibly happening again to other unlucky patrons as well as making sure hair isn't falling out onto customers' food.
Portion and the quality of the curry was spot on here at Curry Ya. Not sure if they're associated with Curry Ya in Osaka. Japan, but the taste is very similar. Be careful with the curry udon. It comes out piping hot and took about 10-15 mins to cool down before we could eat it. Only "concern" we had was that our curry didn't come with any red fukujin pickles.
Curry Ya is located in the Cheongdam Food Hall. They menu caught my wife's attention. I know curry is in their name, but, she liked the ramen on their menu even though there is a ramen spot in the next stall over. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than ramen in California. After ordering, they brought our food out to us at our table. She liked here spicy ramen and gyoza. It's a good place. We will have to come back and maybe get something that is in their name.
Located inside the food hall Plentiful parking You order at the restaurant you want and take it to an available table to munch and eat. The gyudon we ordered was delicious and it comes with a nice little salad and miso soup. Great prices It was crowded for dinner but really lively atmosphere. It's a good place to come to for selection of food read more

Finally tried Curry Ya after hearing my coworker rave about it and even my cousins from Colorado were telling me how good this place was! Now I'm mad at myself for not coming sooner cuz apparently everyone knew except me. LOL! I ordered the organic chicken katsu curry at spice level 3 and it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside and the curry was rich, flavorful and had a nice lil kick without being too spicy. The portion was pretty generous too. Customer service was great and the whole food hall was nice and clean. This is only my second time eating at Cheongdam Food Hall so I still have a bunch of the other food spots to explore. Curry Ya definitely made a great impression though and I'll be back! My only complaint is that I wish there were more seats available. The tables are set up to be shared which I don't mind at all but it was a lil annoying seeing people put their belongings on empty chairs they weren't even using so nobody else could sit next to them. Especially when other people are looking for somewhere to sit-- like come on, y'all we gotta share! Other than the seating situation, I really enjoyed my food and totally understand why everyone kept raving about Curry Ya. I should've listened sooner! read more

I do not often eat Japanese Curry dishes but when I do it is some of the best comfort food around. We were at Cheongdam food hall during a summer afternoon and I wanted to try Curry Ya. We arrived on a Thursday late afternoon to Curry Ya for lunch. The food stall is located in the Cheongdam food hall off Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas. Parking is accessible in the parking lot out front. The food stall has simple modern cultural decor. The vibe is welcoming, relaxing, and family friendly. There are plenty of tables and chairs in the food hall available for guests. I ordered the Japanese pork katsu curry with 2 fried gyoza lunch combo. Everything I ordered was delicious and authentic. The pork katsu was tasty and crispy. The curry sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful. Fried gyoza was crunchy and went well with the gyoza sauce. Overall i enjoyed my experience at Curry Ya. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Food came out pretty quickly. Price point was fair. The lunch combo is a great deal if you are ever there during lunch. Next time we are at Cheongdam food hall, I would definitely like to try other dishes on the menu. read more

Curry is in Cheongdom Hall. They serve Japanese curry, udon and appetizers. I love to order the Japanese pork Katsu level one which is a medium spicy level with scrambled egg topping. This is a full meal because it comes with miso soup and a shredded salad. After you order, you find a seat and they will bring it to your table. This has consistently been the best Japanese curry I have had ever. read more
Located in the Cheongdam food hall, this Japanese eatery has some of the most scrumptious curry dishes I've ever tasted. This place can get pretty packed, so we decided to find a table first before ordering our food. All of the menu items are very affordable, especially for the amount of food you'll be receiving. The cashier was so friendly and helpful which made the experience run very smoothly. It took about 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive to our table and everything was so piping hot. My husband and I both ordered the Organic Chicken Katsu Curry which came with a side of cabbage salad and miso soup. We chose the medium heat for our curries spice level which paired perfectly with the crispy fried chicken and steamy white rice. The curry has such a rich and savory flavor which made my tastebuds do a little happy dance. All of the food was absolutely delicious, seasoned very well and served so beautifully. We'll definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes we were eyeing on their menu. read more
Nice authentic Japanese curry in the Cheongdam Food Hall! Yes I love to have options in case I change my mind... All curries are served with rice, miso soup, pickled ginger and cabbage! A good amount of selections with their signature curries! They also have donburis, udon and various appetizers but must get one of their curry selections. I got the organic chicken katsu to keep my protein! Service was meh, didn't feel welcomed by a young lady but it was pretty straightforward. I loved how its looks like a meal and for $12.95+ tax it's a good value. I enjoyed the curry and for a level 1 spice it was perfect for some heat in every bite. Portion was surpassingly enough for myself. Curry was flavorful and the chicken was perfectly crisped. It may look like it's not a lot but trust me I was pretty full with the curry, miso soup and cabbage! I definitely would come back if I am craving for some curry around the area! read more

Cool space inside new Cheongdam food hall and solid food but nothing overwhelmingly great? Curry was ok, pork cutlet and fried shrimp were ok but wowww great price!! Comes with soup and salad to boot and really loved the friendly service from staff!! FYI didn't see it get a chance to try pickled ginger but the pickled radish was great!! read more
My kids loved the curry here. They said the pork katsu was excellent! This place is actually cheaper than the korean place next door to them. The girls serve the food to your table. They are very nice. I tasted the tonkatsu and it was gross. Tasted like fish. I definitely did not enjoy that at all! This is a food hall so there are plenty of seats. Its pretty quiet and easy going vibe here. read more

Just look at this $13 masterpiece. Piping hot curry, fresh rice, tender pork, a delicious salad, and little miso soup! 10/10 my cravings were satisfied and I'm so happy I found this food hall with all types of delicious foods! I have been coming here since they opened at the Cheong Dam Food Hall. Their chicken and pork katsu curry is delicious and always on point. Portions are generous and also comes with salad and soup. One of the great deals in Vegas. I also tried the oyakodon chicken bowl and it was very tasty and enough to feed 2 people. Of course if you're really hungry, then you'd better order something else. Hope this place stays around for awhile. One of my go to places whenever I am in town. read more

Curry Ya is probably the only place I would go to at Cheongdam Food Hall. I love how this place is open until 11:30pm...great for those late night eats/cravings. There's many options to choose from. Besides your usual pork katsu...there's also chicken, ribeye steak, shrimp or seafood, sausage, spam to even tofu. There's also veggie and spinach too for those who have dietary lifestyles. Different levels of spice to choose from. I opt for spicy on my Japanese Pork Katsu plate and it was perfect! For reference, I usually get a spice level 6/10 for my Thai dishes. Each plate entree comes with miso soup and side of cabbage with a really delicious light sesame dressing. Only reason why this is a four star review is because the pork & rice portions were off. There's only five pieces of pork katsu! What the.... And meanwhile, half the plate was rice. At $12.95 per plate, at least throw in six pieces or something! But still...it's good enough whenever the curry craving strikes. read more

Hello Cynthia, Thanks for the great review! We're glad you enjoyed…
Had the udon at Curry Ya in Cheongdom Hall and it was so good. The fish broth was warm and comforting, the kind that instantly feels like home. The noodles were chewy in the best way, soaking up all that savory broth. The bowl came loaded with green onions, fish cake, seaweed, and a perfectly soft egg that just melted right in. Simple but so tasty! read more
Curry Ya is proof that sometimes, all you need is a good plate of pork katsu and rice to turn your day around. It's not the best katsu I've ever had, but it does the job--crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and paired with a solid curry sauce. The only downside is the seating. Since it's in a food court, space is limited, so if you come during lunch, be ready to do a little table-hunting. If you're looking for a casual, no-fuss meal that's comforting and filling, Curry Ya is a solid choice. Just maybe don't come when the food court is at peak chaos mode. read more

Great spot to stop in for lunch if you're in a hurry. The food hall area overall is kept very clean and the available water dispenser with nugget ice is a nice touch. Regarding our lunch from the Curry Ya stall itself, the service was friendly and food came out quickly enough. The Katsu curry was delicious with the Katsu being cooked perfectly and not too oily. The curry to rice ratio was also ideal, albeit a bit small in portion considering the price. The miso soup was pretty mediocre being just white miso and water. The cabbage salad was also drenched in dressing making it a bit difficult to eat without shaking off the excess dressing in between bites. The kake udon was delicious and a pretty huge portion. A bit disappointed that there is no shrimp tempura udon available amongst the varieties offered. read more

Hello Vincent, Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you…
If you're craving authentic Japanese curry in Vegas, Curry Ya is the spot! The portions are generous, the curry is rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and you can customize your spice level to your liking. I tried the katsu curry and it came out perfectly crispy on the outside while still tender inside. The curry sauce had a deep, comforting flavor that paired really well with the rice. The menu has a solid variety--everything from chicken and pork katsu to shrimp, beef, and even vegetarian options. They also offer add-ons like cheese and egg that really take the dish to the next level. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is simple but cozy--exactly what you'd want from a casual curry house. Prices are fair considering the quality and portion sizes. Definitely recommend this place if you're a fan of Japanese comfort food. I'll be back to try more of the menu! read more

Japanese curry is my favorite curry. I grew up eating it and never knew a different kind of curry until I was a teenager and discovered Thai curries. Then I moved to NYC and discovered Indian and African curries but none of them ever took the place of Japanese curry in my heart. Walking into Cheongdam Food Hall, I just knew Curry-Ya would be the place I ordered from. I wasn't really paying attention when ordered and just ordered my fave, chicken katsu curry (with level 1 spicy), and was pleasantly surprised when miso soup and a cabbage sesame salad were also part of the meal. This makes it a very good price. I was looking for some pickles to go with it on the menu but didn't see any, so I bought some in the little market in the food hall. Not exactly what I was looking for taste-wise (they were Korean style pickles, not exactly I was looking for) but hit the spot any ways. Thinking about it now, I should have just asked the person at the POS if they had any pickles. She was super sweet and helpful and seemed nice enough I could have asked her. Ordering was really easy because of the person working there but also because of how the menu was laid out. I also like the snack options they have in front, it adds to the food stall vibe and ambiance. Oh, and btw, the curry here is excellent. My hubs said it was the best katsu he's ever tried (man, I can't wait to take him to Japan) and it was pretty good. He liked his steak, saying that even though it wasn't the best cut of meat in the world, it was seasoned great. The miso soup was good and the cabbage salad was banger, great dressing. My only suggestion, adding some fukujinzuke. Then, chef's kiss! read more

I'll cut to the chase- everything was downright DELICIOUS! Ever since I worked in NYC, japanese katsu curry has been a fave for me. Now that I live in Tampa, I miss it and scope out this dish whenever I'm in a big city. Curry Ya really hits the spot and offers a nice pricepoint for its big portion. I always look at the rice and think to myself, "this is way too much" but amaze myself how quickly I inhale the meal. Really good crunch to the breaded pork katsu and flavorful curry. The spice level was just as I expected- a medium heat, which was just right. The corn was a nice compliment to the meal and was only a slight upcharge. I have found my new go-to, especially since the location is away from the busy parking lots of Chinatown, which makes this even more favorable. The shared food court seating has a nice ambiance to it and is a great option for groups or families who prefer different things- i.e. my hubby went for the sushi spot a few shops down. Love this place and can't wait to come back when I visit next year. read more
This is found in the Cheongdam food hall and it is delish!!!! The customer service is great and the food is even better ;-) The prices are affordable especially the fact they serve a generous portion of food, your guaranteed going to be full and satisfied after! The food came out quick not too long of a wait.... I ordered the Organic Chicken curry katsu with medium level spice and it was sooo yummy and flavorful with a kick of spice! The curry is so good and the chicken was nice and crispy! They serve it with a large side of white steamed rice ,miso soup and cabbage salad! They serve it on a nice wooden tray and cute plates!!! They also have a filtered water dispenser inside the food hall you can help your self too if you dont drink soda like my self! I highly recommend this place for your curry fix!!!! I will be back again ;-) read more
