The sushi was unfortunately not fresh and had way too much rice. The first roll was okay, but the second one had a lot of white stringy pieces in it and tasted very off. The fish on the sushi was sliced paper thin, while the rice portions were excessive, which made the quality feel very cheap overall. I also ordered the coffee ice cream dessert, and it was honestly disgusting. My phone was dead at the time, otherwise I would have taken pictures. Sadly, I would not recommend coming here based on this experience. also, really bad service had to wait for a while to get simple Chapstick or napkin. The ambience is OK better than the food.

I think I found my new favorite sushi spot in Las Vegas! I stopped into Sumo Sushi for lunch today and immediately fell in love with the absolutely awesome dining room! The menu looked pretty extensive and there were so many things I wanted to try. I started with a bowl of miso soup, which was huge. I really appreciated that because most places only give you those tiny little cups. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and the Golden Lobster roll. Both were really good. The rainbow roll was fresh, flavorful, and well made. The Golden Lobster roll was probably my favorite though. The garlic flakes on top kind of looked like corn flakes at first, but they had this really nice garlic flavor that worked super well with the roll. My waiter Gabe was awesome and took great care of me throughout lunch. Service was quick and my food came out really fast, which was perfect since I stopped in during the middle of the day. My only tiny bummer was that they didn't have Diet Coke and only carried Coke Zero in cans, but honestly that was not a big deal compared to how much I enjoyed everything else. The prices were super fair, the atmosphere was cute and welcoming, and I already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Been here a couple of times but this time was my most favorite visit yet. Joined their waitlist when we came at around 5:30p and waited about 10-15 minutes. We were seated in a booth and I liked the privacy and intimate feel it gave. Our server Jake was so awesome! He was friendly and efficient. Jake took it upon himself to order all the items that were 1 per person. He went down the list of items that were 1pp to confirm which ones we wanted to order. Those came in and they were all so yummy. Some of my personal favorites: salmon belly nigiri, super white fish nigiri, salmon nigiri, and the shit, galbi. All of the carpaccio's were amazing and I recommend ordering them all. The cocktails were good: peach and grape sojus. I think this place is worth it! Definitely check them out and it sounds like all the servers are awesome. Also, their little post office box is the cutest!

Loved this place! Super good value for the amount of food you get! The quality of the fish is also pretty good for all you can eat and I love the variety of menu items. The servers were all very helpful and our food came out nice. The ambiance is that of any typical Japanese restaurant and it wasn't too crowded. Would come back next time in Vegas!

We were recommended by friends to come here, have visited a lot of sushi places, Ryan was our host, Josh was our server, they both provided impeccable customer service, often seeing Ryan doing just about everything, he was hosting, taking orders, cleaning, serving orders, all with a giant smile on his face. It was our first time here and everything was incredible, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Music was at a normal volume where we don't have to shout or speak loud to conversate. The ambience was nice and cozy. It was consistently busy; yet we had our food served consistently, refills were checked on. Restrooms were clean. Plenty of parking. Definitely recommending friends and family here. There are menu items that they have here, not in some of the other sister restaurants. Probably one of the best sushi restaurants in town.

This was our first time at Sumo Sushi on Warm Springs near Durango, and it definitely won't be our last! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional, the staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. As for the food, everything tasted super fresh and was exploding with flavor. We tried several things, but the mussels were my absolute favorite, the seasoning was spot on. The prime steak was another standout; it was cooked perfectly and honestly outstanding! I also really loved the coconut shrimp, which had the perfect crunch. It's rare to go somewhere where every single dish you order is a hit, but everything here was delicious. If you're in the area and looking for a high quality spot with great vibes, this is it. We'll definitely be back!

Sumo Sushi is hands down our favorite AYCE sushi spot. The variety here is seriously endless, which is one of the main reasons we keep coming back! We have dined here quite a few times, but this was our first time having David/Dave, as our server and he made the entire experience even better. He is hilarious, constantly cracking jokes, and incredibly attentive. On top of that, he really knows the menu! He is honestly such a gem, and we wish we could have him every single time we visit! No matter what day you come, there is usually a wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, but it is always worth it. We love bringing friends here because it never disappoints. The atmosphere is relaxing but still lively, with colorful Japanese inspired decor that makes it feel fun and trendy. We are still hoping to come back one day with another couple and HOPEFULLY get those cool booths on the left side. (Looks like it fits 4 ppl). The food quality is top-notched for an AYCE, but what really stands out is the massive selection. My husband loves the omakase platter and all the nigiri options. As for me, I am pregnant.. so I can't eat anything raw, and am impressed with all their other selections! I am obsessed with the buttered scallops. They literally melt in your mouth and are packed with flavor. We also love the coconut shrimp. It has the perfect sweetness and the sauce is so addicting we could EASILY devour a dozen. The stuffed mushrooms were a newer favorite too. Super juicy, deep fried, and a literal flavor bomb! You also can't forget the Rose Pan Udon.. the noodles perfectly soaks up the sauce and is so rich, creamy and comforting. Whether you are in the mood for sashimi, sushi rolls, baked items, noodles, fried rice, carpaccio, yakitori, hand rolls, steak, omakase, salads, or even ice cream, they have it all! Thanks again David/Dave for the great service, & for giving my in-laws plastic chopsticks helpers, they absolutely adored you!

I came here a few times and the first time we had a big party and waited about 2 hours. But it was well worth the wait. Server was really attentive and the food was really delicious and very fresh. They have a wide variety of different kinds of food and dishes. The ambiance was really nice and open. I'll always come back! Helpful

It feels like every time we are here the service keeps getting better. We came for our date night and were waited on by Jake. We felt like we've been friends for a long time-which I feel is a great quality in a server. When Jake left, Miriam took over and didn't miss a beat. Love, love, love the service here! Food, incredible like always! Highly suggest getting the Salmon or Yellowtail Collar and the Bruno Mars roll.

Yet another great Dragon restaurant. We used to come here before Dragon bought it and it's definitely been improved. We went on a Friday at 4pm and we're seated in less than 5 minutes. Aza, our server, was super friendly and attentive. The food was great, quick turn around. The portions weren't too big, which let's you order more things without worrying about waste. Love the decor, lots of privacy in the individual booths. Feels like a back alley in Tokyo (in the best way!) Omakase plate for the table definite must order Coconut lover really good but we'll all for less mayo next time. Sumoholic very original and so tasty. We got the mayo on the side. Salmon collar nice and juicy Blue fin hand roll sooo much tuna! So good

Sumo is a very, very good place to grab some AYCE sushi. The fish was great , selection was great. Would definitely recommend it. Food was very fresh and amazingly fast. Best part was there wasn't a boat load of rice trying to fill you up like other allnyou can eat sushi places.

Brandy T.

One of the best AYCE deals for sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious. The inside is very nice and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful with the menu. So many choices you won't be disappointed

There's a lot of AYCE sushi just in this cross streets alone, but the mainly reason why I'd suggest this location is simply because of the vibe and decor. AYCE sushi in Vegas all have pretty similar standards and flavors but what really sets them apart is the decor and any specialty dishes. For AYCE you have your standard nigiri's and random sushi rolls that, but my favorite in this place is the squid, mackerel, super white tuna and the eel. They did have a random item that you don't see often which was a spam nigiri. I ordered it just for fun but it's pretty much a small spam musubi. I'd say to stay away from the skewers unless you can't eat fish or you really want to try it. When we got it, the skewers seemed really dry and flavorless. We went there and they had a late night special for $24.99, which we couldn't pass up. Yah there's specialty items that only allow you one piece each but we didn't feel like it at the time. I really enjoyed the interior or the location as it immersion of the decor kind of brings you into a Japanese setting rather than just simple decor. The neon colors, cherry blossom tree and all the signage help bring the atmosphere to be more lively and more than just a restaurant. When it comes to ordering, it seems like you can order from anyone that has a tablet. There wasn't that many people so it was pretty easy to order. The service wasn't super fast but the presentation of nigiri's were fairly nice.

I have never been to a sushi location that the service is this spectacular. Table always cleared away of empty dishes and the speed of how fast the food comes out is INSANE. Waiter comes to your table right away and ask for your order almost immediately after seating. The food and service is fast but you do not feel rushed to eat as fast as you can and leave. You don't get the feeling of them trying to rush you out. The ambiance of this place is on another level. I feel like I am at a club. So if you want a nice and quiet dinner this is not the place for you. But if you want to come with friends and have a good time then this place is a must try! Our waiter was Francisco and he is a freaking rockstar. Always on top of it making us feel welcome and comfortable. Explaining the entire menu and keeping everything on point. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!

Not sure why this place is rated so high…read more I'd probably give this place around 3 stars overall. The food honestly wasn't that great compared to other spots in the area. It wasn't terrible by any means, but nothing really stood out and there are definitely better places if you're specifically craving Japanese food. What really bothered me though was the pricing situation. We came during their lunch AYCE hours, but because there was a festival going on that weekend, they decided to charge full dinner price instead. So I am docking off another point for the owners being greedy. Service itself was okay, just not enough to justify the higher price they charged us.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto. You don't need to go to the Strip for Ari yeah!…read more Ari Sushi & Izakaya is a very well-Yelped restaurant in the southwest. I've particularly seen buddies post about it on Instagram a lot, and I finally made my way out there since I found that it aligned with my mom's food craving. I went for the Ari Ari Combo ($29.00). It started with a little bowl of balanced miso soup and a tiny side salad with fresh greens and a simple sesame dressing, and was followed by six thin but delicious sashimi slices and four basic but also solid-quality nigiri. I would be more than happy to come back try to more of their raw fish any time. If that doesn't sound like enough for lunch, I did share other food items. The Garlic Edamame ($7.00) felt a little less salted than I expected but was a good portion and had plenty of both a garlic sauce and crispy garlic slivers. I also helped out with a Bento with 3 items ($25.00): bulgogi, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. The bulgogi was tender but not strongly marinated enough and the spicy tuna roll felt pretty standard, but I did really enjoy the shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura pieces which I tried. They were super hot and crispy while being cooked perfectly inside, and the sauce was perfect. The music was relaxing and not played at a very high volume. The restaurant is a little more dim than I'd like and could benefit from overhead narrow-angle lights, but maybe the food was just that good that the lighting wasn't so important. The server was happy to refill my complimentary water with lemon as often as needed, as well as to add more water to the Hot Green Tea ($4.00). I did try some of the tea, and it was potent and low in bitterness. I'm pleased to report that Ari Sushi really does offer delicious sushi, enough so that I'll probably have to make more trips from Henderson to try more of their menu. If you want high quality mid-price-range sushi that's not in an all you can eat format, this is a great place to look.
