I had an amazing experience at Mr. Shota AYCE Sushi. The food was unbelievably fresh and flavorful, and the customer service made the meal even better. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made me feel right at home. Vibe was easy since lunch was not super busy. Truly the best sushi I've had in Las Vegas -- I'll definitely be coming back.

A great all you can eat sushi place if you want an affordable lunch option. Unlike other places this place offers lunch specials Monday through Friday. The key is that Friday is offered in it. Most places block off Friday Saturday Sunday and include that as a weekend price and is normally much higher. The worker/server was very friendly and he was out and about checking our table very often in order to order more rounds. The rounds came up very quick and even for the lunch option there's a bunch to choose from so we never felt like we're missing out on anything. I would of course order all of the one time things such as the salmon,, seafood bowl,. Everything was really fresh and Another stand out for me was the freshwater eel. My biggest tip is to not get any of the Unagi sauce since I feel like it really doesn't need it and it gets pretty salty and fills you up over time.

recently stopped by Mr. Shota and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. This spot hits that sweet balance between quality and value, especially if you catch their specials. First off, the nigiri deserves a shoutout--the fish-to-rice ratio was on point. Each piece had a generous cut of fresh fish without overwhelming the rice, which made every bite feel balanced and satisfying. You can tell they pay attention to the details. We also tried a few hot dishes, and they didn't disappoint. The karaage came out crispy on the outside and juicy inside, perfectly seasoned without being too heavy. The salmon steak was another standout--flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. Same goes for the beef short rib, which was rich, well-marinated, and fell apart with every bite. Service was just as solid as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly without hovering--always a plus. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the value. Their weekday lunch special (until 4pm) is a great deal for the quality you're getting, and if you're out late, the $19 late-night special after 10pm is hard to beat. Overall, Mr. Shota is a spot I'd definitely come back to--whether it's for a casual lunch, a solid dinner, or a late-night bite. Great food, great service, and even better pricing.

I did the all you can eat. I thought the quality of the sashimi fish was okay. The nigiri is where it is at. The fish is tasty and I highly recommend the eel. They have this all you can eat special at weekday nights from 9-11 for 19.99. That's a steal. Otherwise the price is still reasonable for the quality of the fish. I don't necessarily recommend the recommendations from the menu. I think ordering the nigiri is more worthwhile if you are a fan of sushi.

Our usual spot is down the street which is Sumo Sushi. Same owner I believe. Anyways, the wait was 55 mins for Sumo and it was already almost 9pm. We called Mr Shota and they said they had 1 table left. Or it could be a 15 min wait. When we got there, a group was leaving and there was 1 party of 2 ahead of us. Within less than a minute they were seated and we were right after. Super fast !! It's a small spot and this place has been different names before so we had stop coming here. But after today, it wasn't bad after all. The service was quick, the food was great. And to top it off, they had Ube and Thai tea ice cream !! Yummm ! Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend and early Mother's Day

Mr. Shota is one of six sushi restaurants as part of the Dragon Factories franchise in Las Vegas. It offers virtually the same menu as Sakana, Umami Sushi, Sushi Neko, Neko Supreme, and Sumo Sushi. I've visited three out of the six, and Mr. Shota has the best ambiance in my opinion. The lighting and decor really set the mood. As for the sushi, I thought the sashimi and nigiri were on par with the other locations, and offered great taste and lots of variety. I especially enjoyed the seared salmon with lemon, uni, and the sashimi platter. The service was great as well. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us often. He did not limit us as some of the other locations did. We came as a group of four, and finished all our plates without scraps. I only knock down a star due to the lack of dessert options the day we went. Although there were many more options on the menu, they only had maybe 2-3 mochi flavors available, with no affogato (my favorite) or ice cream. Regardless, I'd definitely still come back!

It's been awhile since i been here but as usual food is comparable to my go to sushi spots. Ambience is great. Service is ok. Location is key for this place.

This place has great quality cuts and portions! Went here for our anniversary recently and it was worth the wait. We love nigiri and this place does an amazing job with that. I thought the yellowtail was especially good here. I thought the eel was weakest, although still good.

This place is easily top two AYCE spot in Vegas and let me tell you why. The portions for the sashimi is good. Let me start by saying I've been to four of the other top ayce spots in vegas and they're decent but this is my top two. They're bite size so that you get a good taste with a good rice ratio. They're not huge so you don't get full and you can try other things. Their selection on the menu is very fair it may not be a massive selection, but the selection that they do have all taste really good. The speed at which they bring the food out is very fast so you don't really have to worry about waiting. Staff was attentive and fast. My only gripe was when I called and asked what the wait time was server said 30 minutes when really there was no wait. Not sure why they lied if I had trusted that information I wouldn't have gone and missed out.

I love the service specially STEVEN very friendly always happy to serve it made me feel like ordering for more to see his warm smile Good job Steven. The place is clean, smells good no musty smell like other AYCE. Great place! The price is fair for sushi

The sushi here was well balanced between options of tempura, fried, classic, baked and signature. I will be back soon. Wasn't busy for lunch time and special was a good price. Very clean ambient environment and loved our server kept coming to check on us.

How much the lice of AYCE? Is Uni nigiri included to AYCE?

$24.95 for lunch. All day $28.95. One order of uni per person is included in AYCE. I usually invite people who don't like uni lol

Is happy hour available on weekends as well?

Sadly no last time we were there and found out

Is restaurant ADA compliant ? Plan to bring 3 obachans that use wheelchairs.

They have no steps and a few tables have chairs that pull away and would allow for WC access. I am not sure about the restrooms but should have no problem eating.

    Hi when is HAPPY HOUR?

It was after 9PM when we went.

Will you be open for July 4th 2023?

I wanna know, what everyone's FAVORITE roll is?

I absolutely love the salmon belly and sexy salmon nigiri. As for the rolls, Call 911 is always a must for me.

Do they still have two for one sake and beer and soju?

When I was there last week they still have that special. I got a bogo soda 😊

I understand lunch time is till 4pm, what if we go in at 3 but finish at 4:30? Will we be charge dinner or still lunch?

i have friends that work there, she said if you do lunch option and stick with lunch item all the way, you'll be charge lunch price even if you finish at 5pm.

Is the AYCE just for sushi or are tapas included?

It is for almost all the menu including tapas

What's the Maximum size for a Large Party?

Probably around 8. More than 8 will have to be split tables.

Are there gluten free options? Is the sushi rice GF?

Rice is never a gluten item. Gluten comes from wheat. This is why gluten free items use "rice flour"

How much is the AYCE for dinner?

    $27.95

Is there a different price for children?

    Ages 0-3 : Free Ages 4-7: $13.95 8+: Full price

    Can I make reservations?

There's no reservations, but they have a Yelp waitlist

So is there a lunch special from 12-4 like I see on the menu. Or is it only from 4pm to 11pm?

shota recently open there lunch hour friday-sunday (3 days). i heard that first week in december they will open lunch everyday.

Did they get rid of the 49ers roll? That was my favorite.

can ask your server, sometime they can make it for you.

    Are reservations accepted?

    No...we just walked in

What are the hours they are open?
