Oh I can see why this place is a social media darling and a place I'd love to come back to on at least a monthly basis. We came in for my mom's birthday and ordered a good amount of food. All of it was delicious, especially the sushi. I love no rice rolls and they had one that is my new favorite. We also really loved the miso salmon brown rice risotto. I could eat that everyday. It was actually supposed to be just for my mom, but we all ate off of her plate, it was so good. The nutella crunch cake was also a delight! The service here is great. The servers are super friendly and nice and very attentive. We didn't get any recognition of a birthday but that was ok. We got my mom a dessert with candles at home so she didn't need it here. Stopped at Pier 215 for lunch on a weekday. It was my first time there, but won't be my last! They have a handful of lunch specials. I decided on the Sashimi Bento Box. The sashimi was all very fresh and tasty. The miso soup, salad and other items were all great. The combination makes for a good deal! The restaurant is clean and has a fair amount of seating. First time at this restaurant. Service is excellent from Ella. She's very polite and attentive and efficient. Sushi is good; however the Asian Boullabaise lacks flavor. Adding some Bak Choy & Enoki mushrooms in it does not make it Asian and the portion is small for $32. The mixed tempura is not worth the value as well. 2 small shrimp and a 4 small pieces of Vegetables does not justify the price. The Uni Pasta is too saucy and the noodles are too soft. It makes the dish soggy. It's also at $32. So price is high for a neighborhood restaurant. It was not crowded on a Saturday lunch hour, about 4 tables. Maybe the pricing has to go with the lack of patrons. I think it can be better. At least give customers enough food /bigger portion if they they are charging Strip restaurant prices. Restaurant is clean and has a moody ambiance. But need improvement either in quantity or value to be a better local restaurant. I texted my friend the name of those two rolls and when i remember I will tell you about it. haha Service: this was the difference maker. The thing that sets this place apart from other sushi spots is the fact that they have a Kaiseki option as well as a sake sampler. If you want to try something different, I highly suggest either of these options. Kaiseki is pretty much an assorted variety of Japanese dishes from vegetables to sushi. Ambiance is pretty nice as I've only went there when it's night time. Fairly dimly lit so it brings a romantic vibe if you want to bring a date here. They can accommodate a good amount of people, but a large group may be limited depending on how busy they are. Whenever I've been here, the service has been pretty decent since it wasn't too busy. The service was pretty standard as they would check up on us every so often. Overall, this place has good quality Japanese food while specializing in sushi/sashimi and has great options when it comes to drinks as well. read more

They used to give a great takeout discount but they lowered it so we stopped ordering frequently from here because it is pricey especially for being all farmed fish. But the last time we ordered, we got 4 cucumber wrapped rolls and we couldn't tell them apart. We just received a box of cucumber wrapped mush essentially. So unfortunately, we likely will not be patronizing this business again. The prices are just too high for not receiving quality food every time. read more

I grabbed a seat at the bar so I wouldn't take up a whole table, and the service was definitely attentive enough maybe even a little too attentive, since three different people asked if I was ready to order. Happy hour offers some pretty solid deals. The beers come out to about 7 which is ok but they start off at $14 so make of that what you will. The rolls are the best deals with $17 coming down to $10. Despite all the good reviews, we didn't have a good impression of their sushi. Drinks weren't super strong and well made. Truffle Parmesan fries were a good texture, but didn't taste any truffle. So saw their Japanese afternoon tea on IG and thought it would be a cute place for a ladies lunch. I had low expectations because well IG pics can be pretty but does the food hold up. We were really surprised by the quality of the fish/seafood, everything was really fresh and the two Japanese tea options were both great. The presentation was gorgeous, but even better was the wonderful freshness and flavor of the food. We started with a sake flight, and there were so many different flavors from dry to sweet and creamy. As always i had them hold the eel sause and add lemmon! It was perfect! My friend had chicken Teriyaki. It was fantastic she let me try a bite. She loved it too! I've been coming here for a little over 3 years now, and today the food was disappointing. I haven't come in a while but today I noticed a huge decline in the quality of the food. The dragon roll was delicious, the pan fried gyosas were a huge let down, they used to be better, it literally tasted so bland. The pork belly kimchi fried rice was alright, again it used to tasted so much better today it was overly sweet, and barely any pork belly chunks. The Korean fried chicken was delicious; but you have to eat it while it's hot, or else the breading starts to get a bit too hard. We loved all of our rolls too. The drinks were tasty, but the margarita was a bit too sweet for me. We were stuffed and probably ordered too much, but oh well, it was a celebration!
