My husband and I ate at Mura 10 months ago at a different location. We didn't know this one existed and were in the area so we dined in. Sadly they have recently removed their sushi options. However the hotpot and bbq were still solid for the $28 A weekday lunch price. They were missing some standard items like rice paper, sesame oil, chicken eggs, tofu but that's okay. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking is easy.

I was looking for Nalsso and wondering why I couldn't find it. Then I realized they changed the name to Mura. Everything was just good. Nothing bad to say but also nothing to rave about. We came here because it was close, but definitely would not drive over 5 minutes to come here. Also really weird that the dessert we want is only available if we leave a review.

Wagyu sampler with spicy seafood & tonkotsu broth
Breanna S.

My fiance & I were craving shabu so we decided to check this place out! We ordered the "Wagyu Lover" set for bbq ($46.95 each) & had the spicy seafood & tonkotsu broth for the shabu. The Wagyu Lover set was delicious!! Beautifully marbled meat & super tender, every cut was rich without feeling too heavy. My favorite was the wagyu short rib! The shabu-shabu was pretty good, with a comforting tonkotsu broth & fresh veggies & noodles that paired perfectly with the wagyu. The sauces were also on point and didn't overpower the meat. The only criticism I have is that the spicy seafood broth was lacking in flavor. It tasted like lightly flavored seafood water & I was expecting more of a flavor punch so I wasn't a huge fan of that. The vibe is relaxed but still nice & the staff was friendly & helpful without hovering. Overall, great quality meats but it can get pricey!

My wife and I dine here because it's near our home. Venue is spacious and clean. We were seated within minutes and offered drinks. This is one of the few place that offers grilling and hot pot ayce for 1 great price! Can't go wrong. Our server came to our table and take our orders within minutes. We usually order package A or B, depending on the day. After ordering our meat from the menu we then get up to self serve from veggies and sauces station. Overall food, service and price were good. We'll be back here again for a while yet

I love that you can have hot pot with your Japanese bbq! Lots of varieties to choose from for the hotpot and lots of sauces. Meats were delicious, our favorite was the miso pork belly and the Kalbi. Service was good and ambiance was nice.

We went there late last night for dinner and it was our first time. This place is huge, ands we didn't have to wait since it's late. Korean barbecue has 3 options and also come with hotpot. We picked the menu B. Their meats were lean and good quality and tasted good. At the beginning we opted not to try the hotpot and at the later part we tried ( I should haven't). The dessert they offered was a shaved ice with different flavored syrups. I wish they ice creams. Our waiters were attentive, they changed our grill several times, and taught us how to use the hotpot. Good exhaust, clean bathrooms, and clean floors. Overall we have a really good experience and I'm glad it is located in the Southwest near our house. Thank God we found our place !!! Plenty of parking. Noise level quiet as we were there late at night. We will definitely come back!!

Honestly, this was a really disappointing experience. The meats were just okay- the beef belly was probably the best of what we tried, but overall the meat quality felt a bit dry. The real issue was the service. Our waiter was nice, but it was extremely slow and frustrating. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get our grill changed while we were still eating, which completely ruined our appetite. On top of that, it took 15 minutes just to get our stove turned on because the waiter wasn't paying attention to our table. Also, we asked for rice paper and the server said it was at the self service station. It was not, and we didn't have the patience for the server to come back and tell them it's not. They were clearly short-staffed, and while I understand it was a holiday, that doesn't excuse making customers wait around like that. There were multiple times when I had to get up to ask the server for service. Everyone around us seemed frustrated too. even the table next to us was upset about the service. Overall, the food was average at best, and the terrible service made the whole experience unenjoyable. Definitely not worth it. I wouldn't waste your money here. It was roughly about $35 per person.

Great service from our server Sid! Food was tasty and delicious ! Family night out! Ambiance!

Garlic Brisket and hotpot soup

We were around the corner at a Dr appt and decided to try them out for lunch. Walked into the front of the restaurant no one was around. Heard people in the back talking. Two or 3 mins go by and a girl walks up on the phone to grab a menu. We listen as she describes the menu to the caller for about 4 more mins. Finally she say sorry while still on the phone. Eventually we get seated. So the name is confusing. It's a Japanese restaurant but it's actually a Korean AYCE :/ which I'm fine with :) Now to the important stuff. The meat selection was great even for the lunch special for $29 AYCE. The soup is hotpot style with a bar to get your creation on. I would like to say that I am a Korean food addict so of course I ordered a steamed egg. To my horror it was overcooked and unedible. Not much for sides but the experience was ok. Would I return...probably not.

If there's a party of six, does everyone have to select either hot pot, BBQ, or sushi? Can each person select what they want (hot pot, BBQ, sushi)?

Their prices include everything. So option 1 is like $28 or $29 and it includes bbq, sushi and hot pot. You can decline, but the price is the same. We've been there a couple times and the basic menu is more than enough for us.

Can solo diners eat here?

SAKANA IS SIMPLY THE BEST!…read more Sakana has officially become our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sushi restaurant, and for good reason! Their all-you-can-eat menu is loaded with an incredible variety, so there's always something delicious to try. As someone who prefers sushi without rice, I especially appreciate their no-rice options! They may only have two no-rice rolls, but their seafood salad with assorted fish and cucumber is SO delicious, and their Jalapeño Bomb is an absolute MUST every single visit! Their nigiri is also fantastic--the rice-to-fish ratio is perfect, allowing the fresh fish to shine without being overwhelmed by rice! One of my favorite things is that they offer full or half rolls on most of their sushi selections, making it easy to try even more of their amazing menu. Add in their huge selection of appetizers, including edamame, and there's no shortage of options to keep your taste buds happy! And PLEASE, whatever you do, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Their fried banana with ice cream is my go-to every single time. It's the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal! But what truly makes Sakana special is the staff. The food is amazing, the selection is fantastic, and the people make the entire experience that much better. You can have great sushi anywhere, but when you combine delicious food with genuinely wonderful service, you have something special. Sakana isn't just our favorite sushi spot anymore--it's THE sushi spot we compare everyone else to! If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!

The best AYCE in Vegas!…read more I would recommend getting nigiri due to the fish to rice ratio. Service is hit or miss best to go as early as possible. This is the best place to take your special someone on a date.

They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. Next time we're in Vegas, we'll absolutely come back and try some more!

We decided to sit at the sushi bar, which turned out to be a great choice. It gave us the opportunity to interact with the chef and watch him prepare everything right in front of us. You could immediately tell how talented and experienced he was just by watching his knife skills and the care he put into every dish. We started with the Albacore Tuna, cut into six beautiful slices. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise. He prepared a beautiful plate featuring four different types of fish, and this time we remembered to take a picture! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised us with a dessert of fresh oranges with a touch of liqueur. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. What really made the evening memorable was the combination of excellent sushi and the personal experience at the sushi bar. Our chef was cordial, engaging, and clearly very talented at his craft. If you enjoy high-quality sushi and are looking for a special experience while in Las Vegas, TARU is definitely worth a visit. We would absolutely go back!

We started our meal off with some spicy garlic edamame, seaweed salad, and the Taru prawns. Thr first two dishes were good representations of what they should be. The prawns were lightly fried and of good size. The dipping sauce that came with it was very subtle and light. Our main courses were the uni pasta, which came in a good portion size and contained lobster and salmon bits in addition to the uni. My wife enjoyed it and nibbled at it while I awaited my entree. I ordered the 20 piece sashimi sampler. While the tuna, yellowtail, hamachi, salmon, and red snapper all tasted very fresh, I probably would have went in another direction had I known it would take 30+ minutes to receive. I felt bad for my wife waiting to ear her dish. The server was very apologetic for the delay and offered miso soup and a shot of a fruity sake drink while we waited. The entire staff was very welcoming and attentive throughout the meal.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch.
