I would classify Square Shabu as an upscale hotpot restaurant. Everything was very clean and well organized. The portions were also good sized allowing you to try a lot of different items. You have three menu choices: $27.99 for lunch; $32.99 deluxe; $42.99 premium. We tried the lunch menu and were very happy. I got the Sukiyaki soup base and my wife got the House Miso. We had plenty of portions of the beef toro and beef shoulder clod. Because they were out of round, they substituted brisket. We also tried the shrimp, clams and mussels. The vegetable bar was self serve and well stocked. The side bar had a lot of choices, too. This is definitely a place you should try.

Found a nice hot pot near Summerlin. The service was a bit slow. But, our server was so nice and stayed calm. It was just him And the owner. It's a very simple menu. All you can eat and u get ur own personal pot for ur broth. Can't wait to go back again. If you like whiskey they got a nice variety. They have a pretty decent noodle selection and sides.

We were in the mood for hot pot on a Monday afternoon and searched for somewhere different. Square Shabu did not disappoint at all! There are two menu options, one for $32, and the other for $42 which also comes with a signature side and upgraded meat options. We opted for the $42 offering and boy howdy, we threw down hard! Great meat options, and all the self serve noodles and vegetables you can stuff into your body. We loved it here! We came around 3pm so not busy which allows us to see how clean this Shabu spot is. Very impressive, and the owner of this restaurant, Zheng Ji, was our server and such a nice, genuine person! We have a new favorite hot pot place here in Vegas, this is a must visit!

Found Square shabu because we wanted to go to a hot pot place with separate pots for each person. Square shabu is nestled in a quiet plaza in Summerlin. They had some deals on alcohol going on, $3 whiskey shots (1 per person) going on. There are 2 tiers of AYCE and the difference is 3 better beef options, a special dish (one of the beef tataki, or bone marrow, wasabi octopus etc). The vegetable and hot pot items are self-serve. We got the more expensive option to try it out and the meat were pretty good. I got the beef tataki and it was quite tender and delicious. The bone marrow took an hour but my friend enjoyed it, it was pretty big, with lots of bone marrow. I think what stands out for Square shabu is their sides, they had the potato tornado, and many other sides that were not as common in other ayce places. Overall, not bad, I think next time, if we do come back, we will get the standard option. I feel that the expensive option needs to have like a soft drink station too otherwise felt like the difference did not justify the premium price.

This was my first time at Square Shabu, and I had a nice experience overall. I went with the $32.99 menu and tried the tonkatsu broth, which was good, though I had to add some chili oil to get more flavor. My bf got the spicy broth, which I actually preferred. I tried all the meats on the menu and my favorites were definitely the beef brisket and toro -- both were tender. For appetizers, I didn't try much but had the tornado potato and Cajun fries, and both were really good. The service was nice, and our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt clean and comfortable, and had good options for sauces and vegetables. Overall, a solid first visit!

We came here to celebrate on my birthday and were not disappointed. We had to make a reservation to ensure that our party could be accommodated. Unfortunately we had to change that # (increase) and ended up being able to switch to a bigger party for a 7pm reservation. The server was pretty patient since there were 11 of us and had not yet been to this AYCE spot. She was explaining about the different soup bases and meal options (upgrade to seafood or premium or meats or the regular meats). One person opted for the seafood which came with a nice presentation. While the rest of us got our trays of thinly sliced meats. We got it all: Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken Breast, veggies, some appetizers and different noodles. I opted for Miso broth and Dashi mushroom. Honestly I feel like it was all pretty tasty. The server came to check in on us regularly but we were in the zone with all the cooking and eating. They had at least 10 other tables aside from where we sat and during busier times I cs an see how a 90 minute time limit would be necessary. For dessert we mostly opted for the ice cream-- green tea was pretty hard but the other flavors were fine. The tarot ball took a bit of time too bring out because of the prep time. Unfortunately we were all too full to take advantage of their extensive whiskey and pours they had to offer. They even had some $4 featured whiskey and scotch pours at the front of the restaurant. I will definitely come back and visit again. I had a blast and the service was amazing!

We tried Square Shabu for the first time and opted for the highest tier. Our waitress seated us right away and took our order. It wasn't busy when we arrived, but it started filling up as we were leaving. We really enjoyed the premium options. I liked the premium seafood platter the most, and my husband said the meat quality was better than other places he's tried. I liked that I could make and mix my own sauce to my taste. You also grab your own veggies and noodles, which is great because you can take exactly what you want. Our waitress was super nice and gave great recommendations. The inside is clean, has a good amount of space, and we'll definitely be back.

I went to the Dim Sum Cafe next door multiple times, I didn't even realize this place was here. I spoke to the sever she told me they been there since Dec, 2024, seriously? To me this spot consider a corner store, this is actually the 2nd times I seen a corner stores that haven't been discover. So if you just drove by, you will never see this place, unless you like me you found this on Yelp, and you go directly there. It was 1pm in the afternoon on a Monday, the place is pretty empty, only have another 2 tables The place is really nice, decor is awesome, and is clean. Lunch special was $27.99, dinner have 2 options $34.99 and $42.99 Please don't follow the pricing I wrote on here, go check out the menu page on here, I know I'm close to the price, but maybe couple dollars off. I can't remember is $32.99 or $34.99 But you can see the menu on here, is pretty current Service is really nice, the server is friendly, and when my glass is empty, she refill right the way. The buffet table mainly vegetables, all you can eat, meats, depending on which options you chose, also all you can eat, base soup. I do have 2 things I'm not a fan 1. The heater took awhile to heat up, like almost 8-10 mins The server came back and check on me. Is everything okay? I'm like I dunno, I'm still waiting for my soup to heat up. lol 2. The sauce section, you push open the sliding door, but is directly below your waist, so if you look down and talking at the same time, all people spits will be in the sauce. Overall, great place, good food

Chinese fusion...Shabu Shabu!!! Yes, yes and thank you!!! Really clean cute space!!! Staff were amazing, friendly and super helpful!! AYCE with three price points but went with lighter lunch menu option and only $27.99!!! Spicy soup base dialed down to Medium heat was delicious and perfection with all the mushroom veggies added with Napa cabbage!! Toro beef, Beef round and Beef shoulder plus some lamb was more than enough beef options for me and was pretty good!! Pleasantly surprised and definitely overate but highly recommended!!! FYI....Daily drink specials to boot, especially if your a whiskey, bourbon or scotch drinker? This spot has a great variety to choose from!!

I really enjoyed this place. We were a party of 3 and arrived for late lunch around 2:30pm. I think like most AYCE, everyone has to order from the same AYCE menu. We decided to go with the lunch AYCE for $27.99. This is a smaller menu than regular AYCE for dinner, but I thought this menu was fantastic and still included a great variety of food! The lunch menu includes a variety of beef, pork, and lamb. They have a wonderful bar with plenty of vegetables and mushrooms as well as a great variety of sauces and noodles on the other side. Now I've been to other shabu / hot pot places. I think some of the other places are a bit excessive with the amount of offerings, and I think this place had the perfect amount of offerings. I got the tonkatsu broth, which was very flavorful and creamy. From the appetizers, the mushroom skewers were my favorite. It's lightly battered with tempura (I think) and has a sweet and salty taste to it. I can't remember how many I ordered because it was so good. We tried all the meats and all were delicious, except the pork. The pork was just okay. I think it's because it was very lean. The beef and lamb were fantastic though. For dessert, we had mini fried buns, which came with two per person. You can also get other desserts that are not included such as ice cream for $1.99. I thought the mini buns were okay. It comes drizzled with condensed milk. It was a bit too sweet in my opinion. For the sauces, I had the peanut, chili oil, and their house special soy sauce. Service was fast and friendly. It was hardly busy when we arrived for late lunch. I would love to come back again for their dinner menu.

Found this new restaurant near a dim sum place we frequented before. I don't do hot pots very often other than at a home setting. This restaurant is a good way to do hot pot without all the work a prep. What's most important for a good hotpot is having lamb, it's the perfect meat because lamb is fatty er than other meats due to the other meats seem to have a dryer texture when used in hotpot. This restaurant is reasonably priced and the ingredients are pretty top notch. They don't have a huge variety of vegetables but napa cabbage is sufficient enough.

Went in for lunch with a party of 6 on Saturday afternoon and had an amazing experience. Let me just say this, it is so nice to have this gem of AYCE hotpot in Summerlin! The location is easy to find with ample parking up front. My friend made our reservation for 1pm, however we were running a little behind (shocker lol), the team was understanding and still held our table for us. As we were seated, we noticed that each person would get their own individual burner + pot! A total win for convenience instead of needing to split a pot and potentially spilling your soup as you transfer your food. The variety of broths were amazing, something on the list for everyone! I opted for the Specialty Spicy and my boyfriend opted for Sukiyaki, he said it was one of the best sukiyaki broth's he's ever had! The spicy for me was perfect, the right amount of heat without feeling sweat beads rolling down your head or tongue going numb, mixed with the perfect flavor. There are two menu options, deluxe or premium, of course our party opted for the premium, especially after seeing the seafood option! Meat selection was nice and fresh, and was even cut to order! You order your meats and select appetizers from the servers, but they have their veggie, sauce and noodle bar off to the side for your own DIY enjoyment. It started to get a little busy as we were leaving a couple of hours later, with happy tummies and the excitement to recommend Square Shabu to everyone!

Came here with my girlfriend and was not disappointed! Really enjoyed the clean minimalistic decor, great service, and high quality selection of meats, appetizers, and skewers! We tried the tonkotsu and house spicy soup and thought both were delicious! We also tried the chicken, eggplant, mushrooms, and tofu skewers and all of them were bomb. They were lightly fried and drizzled with a nice glaze. The meats were all tasty, vegetables were fresh, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving some bomb Shabu!

We read all the many amazing reviews and decided to try it out ! Firstly for the price of $32/: I would say there are many other shabu shabu places along spring mountain that offer better values . The meat selections were limited and finely shaved down paper thin ! The vegetables condiment selections very poor - Pa Choy , spinach ? Mushrooms , spams , fish ball etc .. again compare to Nabe , U shabu , Mikiya etc these selections are limited ! While there have many broth selections , my tomatoes broth was bland n salty ! the positive of this place are the friendly servers anf ithe sauces which is fairly good choices ! Overall I feel the good reviews are over rated ! This place is so so .. unfortunately once us enough for us :) read more

Pros: Food was great and service was awesome, lots of interesting appetizers to try. Cons: Wish they had quail eggs and crown daisy on the menu and maybe more pictures of veggies so we know what we're ordering. Yes, there are items we don't know what they were. Price is a bit on the higher side. The soup base they refill with seemed like it was just water as it had no flavor so we just added more sauce from the sauce station. read more

I NEVER leave reviews... That said. Came with my fiance, late night Saturday.. This is a absolute GEM in the heart of summerlin. Owner is amazing. Entire restaurant is clean... SPARKLING. Everything is high tech and luxury. Beautiful layout, very homey and warm. We spoke of my upcoming trip to China, and he gave many recommendations, advice, etc. Very welcoming, caring, genuine. Holy moly this place is off the chain. First time having Shabu. The server Riley was fantastic he explained all the items very well. And made awesome recommendation. The sauces were off the chain, very authentic. And the owner is involved in everything very hands on and the food was fantastic. Will be back soon. I love that Square Shabu is an AYCE spot on my side of town because I get really bad cravings and I have to drive all across town just to get to Happy Lamb. Chubby Cattle is good but it is not AYCE. Anyway, coming into this place I was not expecting a lot but I saw multiple Tiktok videos about it so I had to come check it out. The place was busy when I walked in and it took a couple of minutes before the staff got to give me a table but they were very considerate even when there was only two of them serving the entire restaurant. I was also pleasantly surprised when I found out they take single customers because most AYCE places won't. They have single serve pots which is really cool because I like to cook my own food and not have to worry about other people dumping random stuff on the pot when I'm eating with company. The broth selection is interesting because they offer traditional hotpot spicy broth and sukiyaki. I would have to try the other broths but I went for their signature spicy broth. They offer two tiers, one is 32.99 and the other is 40 something dollars, I can't quite remember. They bring most of the food to the table like meats, seafood, and appetizers but you can grab most of your hotpot fixings from their bar. The bar is small and there's not a lot of things to choose from. You have ramen noodles, vermicelli, a small selection of fish balls, and some vegetables. They have Taro which is good. I just wish they had lotus root. They also have a sauce bar which doesn't have a lot to offer but you're standard condiments are there and they also offer ketchup for some reason. The place looks clean and the music wasn't too loud which is nice because I don't come to restaurants to dance or vibe to the music, I came to eat. The table was big enough for a lone eater like me but I imagine it would be absolute chaos if a whole party of four or more visited. The signature spicy broth was pretty good. It tasted like any other traditional spicy hotpot broth which I'm a big fan of. I assume you can ask them to make the broth even more spicy if you wanted to. I didn't have to many appetizers because I had little space in my stomach when I went here. I tried their fish skin salad which was weird because I thought it would be like salmon skin where it's supposed to be crunchy but instead I got something close to the texture of jellyfish which don't get me wrong I absolutely loved especially with the numbing peppers but I expected somethings else. I also had their skewers, the stuffed tofu and mushrooms to be exact. Nothing to write home about but I did love that they don't just stiff you with one order per person for these. So if you're a skewer fan then this would be something you would probably like. They also offer other appetizers like tornado potatoes which I assume would be a nightmare to keep making since they also offer it unlimited like the rest of their starters. Their meat selection is pretty decent. I ate the lamb and the brisket. The lamb cuts were very generous. I felt like all I was doing was chewing on meat the whole time. The brisket cuts though were pretty thin. I chucked in all three orders I got into the pot and it felt like eating just one order of the lamb. So if you're a lamb fan then definitely check this place out. Sadly, I didn't get to try their other offerings since I felt like I was gonna pass out from all the food I ate. I would love to come back another time and try more of their offerings but I have to make sure I come with an empty stomach. read more

We love hot pot restaurants and were so happy to find out that we don't need to drive all the way to Chinatown from Summerlin to enjoy a good one! This is our fourth time coming back here, and we enjoyed it very much! The meat is fantastic--top quality! They have a rich selection of fresh veggies and a diverse noodles bar, along with an impressive sauce bar that allows you to customize your flavors perfectly. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a hot pot veteran or trying it for the first time, this place is definitely worth a visit. I love that so many shabu places are popping up around town! Square was so good and I definitely will be returning. We got the premium option which included a seafood platter, wagyu meats, and a specialty item like tako wasabi, bone marrow, and uni fried rice. They had a bar in the middle with veggies, noodles, and sauce! The rainbow noodles were my fave - they kind of tasted like soba noodles and didn't get gross and soggy in the broth. Riley was our server and he was very attentive and friendly! The rest of the staff members were amazing as well. read more

I've been here 3 times so far and every single time I go the staff is so nice and welcoming. I had the opportunity to meet the owner during my second visit and he's amazing and let us try the new sides which I'm definitely looking forward to being in the menu. The place is always clean the music isn't so loud that you have to shout at each other or can't hear anything. One of the top Shabu places in Vegas and I look forward to my next visit! read more

Great local shabu place off-strip that is super reasonable for AYCE pricing, and has an INCREDIBLE whisky collection to boot! The owner, Gavin, is a font of whisky knowledge and runs one of the largest Asian whisky clubs in the US. There's some choice selections of the brown stuff that pairs incredibly well with the food. Don't miss it! read more

New hotpot place in south Summerlin. 2 menu prices as either $33 or $43. We went with the $43 so we could get premium seafood platter and American Wagyu. It looks very nice inside. Our waitress Kacey was very friendly. I like that this place has individual bowls so we could choose our own broths. I'd def come back here especially since this place hasn't blown up yet so it's not hard to get a table. Food was good, lots of appetizers. I love the Dashi Mushroom broth. I'm knocking a star off just for the following reasons: I would like to see more sides and veggie options, and there needs to be larger bowls. I don't know about other people, but I like to have a separate bowl to eat out of while the rest of my food is in the main hotpot bowl. Either way, I can't wait to come back. I like that it isn't in Chinatown which usually is crowded read more

This place has only been open for three weeks and we are pleased to visit from the Northern California. I'm glad we came by as the all you can eat $32.99 was well worth it. Usually lamb is questionable at shabu shabu places but this lamb was thinly sliced and very good. We also had the beef brisket, which was good also. I did not get to try the Wagyu menu since I was with two light eaters, but there was enough on this menu to make it very worthwhile. Highly recommend! read more

The meat was a good quality but the seafood was plain bad. The glaring issue with this restaurant is the service. It was impossible to get a refill on water and the waitress barely came to the table. This made it very difficult to order seeing as it is an all you can eat restaurant. It was fairly pricey for the quality and left a lot to be desired. read more

Went to Square Shabu for Christmas Eve dinner with the family. The restaurant is clean and modern. I like that all good including veggies are served to you so it limits the number of people touching the tongs when grabbing buffet style sides. The service could be better as they sometime forgot to bring it 3 certain items. With that said, our server was very apologetic and corrected the issues immediately. I also like that they have skewers which most Shabu places don't offer. Another plus is that it's not in Chinatown so there is plenty of parking and you can make a reservation instead. I will definitely go back and can see that Square Shabu can be my regular Shabu place. read more

The restaurant is newly renovated, and the atmosphere is cozy and modern. The staffs are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Food wise, the spicy clams from the appetizers is a MUST!!! The squid and chicken skewers are delicious. My wife and I picked the signature spicy and tomato soup base. I personally prefer the signature spicy a little more. Other than that, the sliced beef is very fresh. I definitely recommend the beef short plate. read more

This place was actually pretty good. Quality cuts of meat despite the menu being a bit small. Our waiter even gave us extra off menu meat to try. Also, Tuesday nights offer $3 shots of whiskey! Overall liked the chill vibe of this place. read more

We've never tried a Hot Pot eatery and gave this spot a try for our first time. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is inviting. The manager is friendly, shows hospitality and all workers are tentative towards their customers. An enjoyable establishment to bring friends and family. The hot pots were delicious! We had this place twice already! Yes its good. Yes the food are fresh! The owners are friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable. went here last weekend and honestly it was such a bad experiance. the whole place just felt dirty. the floors had black streaks everywere and nothing seemed clean. it makes you wonder how the kitchen must look if this is how they keep the dinning area. the service wasnt any better. our server barly came around, and when they did, they forgot part of our order. we had to keep asking for basic things like water, and they acted like we were annoying them. no appology, no effort, just bad vibes all around. the food was so disapointing. the menu is super limited, which is ridiculus considering how expensive everything is. the broth was so bland, it just tasted like hot water. the meat was terrible--super fatty and chewy, like they didnt care about quality at all. my whole family hated it too. my parents said they'd rather eat at home, and my siblings didnt even finish their food. that says a lot. honestly, if you want good shabu, just go to shabuuya. their food is way better, and they actually know how to season broth. this place doesn't even compare. on top of everything, i ended up getting food poisening later that night. it was awful. this place is not worth your time or money. dirty, bad service, overpriced, and the food isnt even good. definatly not coming back. read more

The servers were all over the place it was ridiculous. They kept messing up our orders and couldn't figure out the right tables. Our server introduced themselves to us and then another person would come up to us serving us. Where is the organization? We never got some of our meats or appetizers and I don't even understand how that happens. The price is expensive and I would expect the quality to match but it sorely lacked compared to the various other shabu places I've been to. There were only a couple other tables in the restaurant yet it felt like the food took forever to come out. Service is okay but it felt the server didn't pay much attention to us as he was so busy. Floor was kinda dirty too, there was so much dropped food from the last people who sat at our table and it was really gross. They didn't even clean between table, so disgusting. The food was alright at best. The short plate was alright though a little fatty but still not bad. The appetizers were the best part but it's sad that everything else was so bad. My boyfriend and I were pretty disappointed in this resturant since the reviews were so good. But we will give them some grace since they did just open. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and walked us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Each guest gets their own hot pot setup so no more awkward ladle battles or soup spills! We opted for the premium AYCE menu and were blown away by the quality. The meats were fresh and beautifully sliced, especially the Wagyu and brisket. The veggie and sauce bar was a DIY dream, with everything from crisp mushrooms to fragrant herbs and noodles galore. I chose the tonkotsu broth, which was rich and creamy, while my friends went for the spicy house broth. All the both were packed with flavor. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the space itself is clean, modern, and cozy. The owner is a whiskey connoisseur. He has a wide selection of whiskey bottles on shelves. We got to tried a couple of rare and hard to find whiskey! It's such a hidden gem. I passed by the restaurant a lot and have been waiting for them to open! I had an incredible dining experience at Square Shabu, and it was made even better by our amazing waiter, Bayu! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. Bayu was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding - the meats were perfectly marbled, the vegetables were fresh, and the dipping sauces were bursting with flavor. The wabi-sabi style decoration is low-key and historical, high-end and friendly and warm. The service attitude is very good and they will ask you about your needs. The meat is fresh. New addition to our area. Very kids friendly, have kids price! Quality meats, I personally love the beef belly and briskets the best!!! The shrimp and Rocket Squid are very fresh.
