Hamachi Kama
Lisa H.

I had a craving for Hamachi Kama really bad tonight. I was so happy to see that On Demand Sushi had it on their menu. They were close by and I was already fond of them. I actually didn't have an appetite from not feeling well except for my fave. When the delivery came I was so happy just to get it any Kama. I was astonished to see how big the order was. It was only $11.95 which is about the average price for the dish except this dish was about double the average portion. It was plated nicely, the ponzu sauce was delicious and the portion was generous! Five stars all the way.

I have found my sushi place. Just 10 minutes from home is On Demand Sushi. I ordered two rolls online. They are having a 2 for $20 offer. I ordered the 007 roll and the Knight Hawk roll. I ordred through Door Dash for pickup instead of delivery. When you go to the counter, you show your receipt so the right person is picking up an order. I was first impressed with the packaging. The rolls were in a plastic container with a snap tight lid. Then, it's sealed further by plastic wrap around everything inclouding a napkin, and soy sauce packets. Inside the roll box was a small container with pickled ginger and wasabi. Perfect to carry out and bring home. The 007 roll is a California roll covered in shrimp, yum yum drizzle and sesame seed. The real crab flavors came right through. My second roll was the Knight Hawk roll. It's a roll with crab, cream cheese, shrimp tempura and eel deep fried with eel sauce. It's the first time I have gotten a fried roll and it was very good and different which made it even better. For $20, the price is right. I know that's half of an AYCE sushi place, but this helps me not stuff myself just to get my AYCE money's worth. I now have a sushi place and I will be there when my sushi fever hits which is often. There are two other locations around the valley so it's easy to order from them. If you want to eat in, there are a few tables in the restaurant and there are a few on a patio outside the front door. Take home or eat at On Demand, you'll be enjoying fresh sushi at a reasonable price and with an extensive menu.

Assorted nigiri & sashimi

On Demand is a great take out option but not so practical for dining in. This location is very small with only a few tables and the way the building is facing it gets super hot with the sun shining in. That said, for taking out their sushi boats are a great option. They're cute, practical and awesome for group gatherings. They have a good amount of options for rolls and appetizers. My favorites were the avocado bomb, On Demand roll, GG Special roll and Orange Blossom roll.

Burnt & dry furikake chicken.
Anna K.

We ordered sushi rolls and the kid's furikake chicken to-go. The chicken was beyond burnt and extremely dry, looking nothing like the photos online. The rice was also old and crusty. Sushi was also mediocre. We've eaten here before and really enjoyed the food, so this was a surprising and disappointing change.

I don't have enough great things to say about this place! Carey the owner led the build your sushi class. This past Saturday they had a 2-hr build your sushi for $50. We had so much fun! They taught us how to make a roll and then cut us loose. All the fish was delicious and fresh, rice made fresh daily. Carey does an impressive job with his staff on attention to detail Side bar: in his crab mix there is 20% real crab and uses light mayo. I love this don't know any restaurants that do this. Ambiance was a vibe! Very nice space. Two sided with a bar. I can't wait to be back and bring my parents to try all the rolls!! A hidden gem for sure!!!

99% sure I got food poisoning from here. I got dinner here last night (that's all I have eaten in the last 24 hours and I have been super sick with food poisoning symptoms- fever of 101 and all.) the sushi was delicious and fresh and didn't have a weird smell I just can't imagine what else I could have gotten sick from.

Asked my bf for a sushi platter for my birthday and on demand delivered!!! Every roll was so good. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: --

I have eaten in the restaurant and ordered from all their locations countless times and it has NEVER not been delicious! Rolls, sashimi, miso, appetizers... all fresh and amazing. The service is great and the staff is always friendly. Don't skip over this spot for your next sushi spot!

Kelly Crunch and Knight Time rolls with a side of ponzu to go.
Faye I.

This place is more of a grab and go sushi place, but they do have seating available, although it's limited. If I'm craving sushi and just want to grab some on the way home, this is my go to spot. I've dined here a couple of times. I've ordered both through Uber Eats and their website, and they're pretty fast and consistent. Ordering through their website is not the most user friendly when you're in a hurry, but I've managed. They always have deals going on. Last deal was 2 premium sushi rolls for $20. All sushi comes with wasabi and soy sauce, but you can get extra sauce like ponzu for a few cents more. My go to sushi rolls are the Kelly Crunch, Knight Time, and Something Wrong 69. They all taste great with or without soy sauce or ponzu, but I still like to dip everything in ponzu. Great neighborhood to go sushi spot.

60" Sushi Boat

Great food, great experience. We ordered a 60" sushi boat for a grad party. Raymond was very helpful in getting the order set up and the delivery arranged. One of the chef's delivered it to our home on the opposite side of the valley for a reasonable fee. It was so beautiful, the chef even adjusted a few pieces around that slightly shifted during the delivery to make the presentation perfect! Once delivered, I thought it might be too much sushi for the small crowd I had, but it was so delicious, we didn't really have any leftovers. Highly recommend and will order again.

Sushi platter - yellow tail, salmon, OG roll, salmon avocado roll
Kevin L.

I've been twice only but have mixed reviews because the rice was a little dry the 2nd time. Other than that, the fish quality is great for a to-go focused spot. They have lots of deals and portion sizes are good. I like the variety of rolls and flavors. Definitely a good spot if you want a quick Americanized sushi fix with sauces and all that.

Customizable sushi platter
Kat M.

My best friend was pregnant and loves sushi! The moment she had the baby I knew exactly what to get her hehe. I found this place on yelp and was able to customize this beautiful platter with her favorite nigiris. The website was very easy to navigate which made ordering easy, thankfully. If you are looking for sushi to go to for a planned event, I would recommend this place!!

My brother and sister-in-law took us here, and luckily, we arrived early enough to avoid the line and snag the last available table. Moments later, a long line was forming outside! Truth be told, I'm not usually a fan of katsu, although my entire family loves it. We ordered both the regular and thick-cut pork katsu sets to compare, along with oysters, a seafood mix, jumbo scallops, mushrooms, and Kumidashi cold tofu. My favorite was the scallops. Everything except the tofu was fried, and WOW! The katsu here is unlike what I've had elsewhere. Perfectly crispy, clean-tasting, not greasy, moist on the inside, and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed the ritual of grinding sesame seeds to mix into my katsu sauce. The iced green tea was wonderfully refreshing, and refills were included--a nice bonus! Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Coming from someone who doesn't typically gravitate toward katsu, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The service is also very quick and polite. Lowlights: The restaurant is very small and they pack a lot of tables inside so they don't allow strollers. There were people waiting the whole time we were there. It's a small cozy restaurant with pretty basic decor. There are 12 small square tables that could be either stand alone or joined together. Do the maximum capacity is only about 24. The two of us ordered a Sakura Ramen and a Miso Ramen. For some reason, they were pretty slow. It took 36 and 38 minutes for the ramen to arrive. Other tables seemed to be waiting for a long time as well. A few minutes before our ramen came, the waiter did come by and told us that we'd be next. When we were done eating, the waitress also came by and thanked us for waiting. Our water was being filled while we waited without asking. Both were very courteous. Both ramen tasted very good. The Sakura Ramen came with thin noodles while the Miso Ramen was made with thick noodles. The thick one had a bit more texture but the thin one was also very good and maybe more suitable for the lighter broth. I think the soup base for both is the same pork broth but one had miso mixed in to give it a stronger flavor. The cha-shu portion was very generous. It was very well-prepared: tasted fresh and had a good texture to it. Overall, it was a great ramen spot. Just wish the service could be faster.

We missed happy hour by one hour. Ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu DX, Chicken Paitan DX, and Chicken Karaage. I originally ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu without the DX but they made it as a DX and brought it to me and asked me if I wanted it and would still only charge me for original one I ordered. This was very nice of them. You can choose your spiciness, but my party agreed that they are conservative with the spice. I ordered mines mild but didn't taste any spice at all (I don't like spicy.) The Chicken Paitan is limited daily and by the time we got there for dinner they only had 2 left, so we claimed one. All in all, I enjoyed my experience here. Great, if you're dining by yourself at one of the bar seating or if you're with a group of friends, they have tables in the back and then I believe they also have outdoor seating from what it looked like. (I was there at night.) I am so grateful for our server. He really was a trooper, we were trying to figure out some of my allergies, and he really went above and beyond to doublecheck things. I got an iced Matcha, and my friend got a non-alcoholic Sapporo. And we both enjoyed our beverages. Prices were pretty reasonable and they do have happy hour and deals throughout the week. For a starter, we ordered the Marufuku bites: Pirikara Chicken. It was the perfect level of spice. The ratio of bun to vegetable to sauce, was really great and we quite enjoyed it. It was a perfect little starter snack while we were waiting for our food. I ordered the Chicken Paitan with spinach noodles and my friend ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen. There was a mixup with my noodles and they quickly remade my Ramen with the correct noodles and I really appreciated how swift they were able to do that. From the outside, the bowl looks like it isn't holding that much when in reality when you start eating, you realize that there is a lot in there! My only complaint is that I wish there would've been more chicken. The egg was fantastic and I absolutely loved the spinach noodles. They gave a really good amount of noodles! The broth was fantastic! It was the perfect comfort food. We sat there in complete silence as we happily ate our food. I finished the bowl clean! Overall, it was really great experience and I'm excited to go there again in the future. Especially more in the winter! Sometimes parking can be a little difficult because it does get really packed in that area, so just keep that in mind, especially on weekends at night, you might need to park farther down closer to mothership.

We ordered a wide variety of food, including basic sushi (nigiri and maki), special sushi rolls, traditional appetizers, and a few miscellaneous Asian cuisine items (including chicken fried rice and orange chicken). The sushi was super fresh, and delicious. The only disappointment was the Black Dragon Roll, which I suspect took a few minutes to get to us, so the tempura was a bit mushy. The traditional appetizers were equally excellent, though I lament that the gyoza were deep fried, not pan fried. The edamame, miso soup, and tempura were exactly what I wanted though. If there was any area that didn't meet expectations, it was the miscellaneous Asian cuisine, specifically the pork bao off of the specials menu. I'm pretty sure they were just the ones you can buy at Costco, and that they were microwaved a little too long (they had exploded and dried out). Overall, I'd come here again if I were in the area, but it's a bit far from where I normally am.
