Sauces that were included had a nice tang for one of them and the other was a sweet tonkatsu sauce. The meat jun was seasoned perfectly - salt and a lil sweet with tender meat. My friend ordered the shrimp which were gigantic and seasoned well. We also ordered the milk pudding which was a nice treat to end the meal. Service was quick and friendly. Portions are huge. Came here on a Sunday, late lunch. When I got there, there was quite a lot of people there probably finishing up their lunch. Small, cute place. The guy who took my order was very nice. I had ordered the poke nachos and 2 entree meal with katsu dynamite and furikake Korean chicken. Honest review because y'all deserve the truth. The poke nachos was pretty good I'd say 8/10. The chips stayed crunchy! If it wasn't so saucey I'd might rate it a 9/10. But because they drenched it in too much sauce it got too sweet & I couldn't finish the rest. Had to pick out all the chips that had too much sauce. I'm would order this again but maybe I'd ask for light sauce or sauce on the side. I ordered my go-to for Dynamite Chicken Katsu (mini, $13.52), its crispy breaded chicken, meat is tender and moist, has amazing wasabi aioli and spicy sauce drizzle, very savory and wonderfully delicious! Served with tasty crab potato salad and kimchi. Also had Fried Noodles (mini, $7.28), the egg noodles are delicious, topped with chopped scallions and kamaboko (Japanese fish cake), it's really good! Spam Musubi ($4.16) is tasty! It does need sauce and there are condiments like soy sauce and hot sauce available on the table. For a lovely treat, they make the best Japanese Milk Pudding, it's delightful and not too sweet! I ordered a regular ($5.20) and tried Ube flavor ($5.20), both are yummy! Ube flavor is so good! The milk pudding has a delicate, silky, bouncy texture, and comes with a sweet Japanese syrup. The milk pudding on its own is so YUM! The syrup itself is very sweet, so only pour a little bit. They also have fun cookies on display locally sourced from The Cookie Bar. I tried Crème Brûlée Cookie ($4.50), it's a huge sugar cookie with a beautiful crisp glaze and is very sweet. Very friendly staff from when we walked in. Asked if we could briefly bring our dogs in while ordering and waiting for our food and they were very welcoming and accommodating for that. Heard good things about this place and wanted to try lots of things so we got two combo plates. First combo was the garlic chicken with shoyu poke. Being from Hawaii this was as close to home as you can get on the mainland. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. The poke was spot on as if it was flown in from Hawaii. Second combo was the ahi katsu and meat jun. Katsu wasn't too crispy since there was a lot of sauce but the flavor was pretty good and ahi was cooked well. The meat jun was soft and seasoned well too. Overall, great to have this place when you want local Hawaii style foods as someone who is from Hawaii. Good variety and everything on the menu was pretty good and very filling. Visiting from Atlanta and was craving Hawaiian. The restaurant is small with only three tables and a bunch of counter seating so not great for large parties. I got the garlic shrimp and garlic chicken combo plate. They were out of kimchi that day, but even so, I dumbly decided to get the mixed greens instead of the crab potato salad. The portion of greens is super tiny without the side of kimchi so I should have gotten the potato salad. Alas. Food came out quickly and everything was piping hot. Generous portions and cooked perfectly. They don't skimp on the garlic for the shrimp so make sure you have breath mints. Surprisingly a letdown. I had gone to their old location on Charleston before and that experience had a great impact so I had expectations that unfortunately was not met. Nothing was particularly bad. I got the dynamite chicken katsu, which had more sauce than chicken, and the lau lau, which had more leaves than pork. The prices also had gone up significantly while the amount of food went down so that felt uneven. As I had ordered the food to-go, I don't have much to say on service other than it was good. I most recently visited this spot on Saturday, the day before Mother's Day 2026. We brought some friends with us this time. We came closer to closing time. It was absolutely empty inside. Each of us ordered different things, different from our usuals. My little one had her favorite, chicken Katsu. She really liked their chicken Katsu here. It was light and crunchy. Nothing was really fried or hard. It was just enough. She did not ask for the kimchi. Instead she asked for extra potato salad. That worked out well. Some of our friends had different styles of chicken. I had teriyaki chicken. Somebody else had a garlic fried chicken. And a couple other orders included fried chicken of some sort with a different sauce. A few of us ordered pokey. Everything was so delicious. Everything was made to order. I always appreciate how neat and clean the restaurant is even during the times when it gets super busy. People do their share and cleaning up after themselves. If for some reason you're looking for a trashcan and don't see one, there's always the one outside. That actually is the one that I preferred to use so that I don't pile up trash in the trash cans inside. That way they don't have to take them out so quickly when restaurant service gets so busy. Parking is available out front. Just a warning, if you come during the lunch hour rush, you might be shit out of luck for parking. This isn't a tiny little strip mall type of situation. The interior is super welcoming with bright and lovely decor of Hawaii and plenty of seating. Their music is a bit of a louder volume but it is also calming. The temperature inside was incredibly cold while I waited for my food. The cashier who rang me out was super friendly and provided me with a great recommendation of the Teri steak and ginger poke combo plate, which comes with potato crab salad and two scoops of rice. They also have a good selection of trendy Hawaiian snacks and drinks as well. The Teri steak was super flavorful and tender. The rice was abundant but a bit gummy. Serving Hawaii kine plates with rice, choice of potato crab salad or mixed greens and kimchi. Or you can choose all rice. Also serving seafood dishes, famous "traditional Hawaiian dish called Poke (POH-keh)" diced raw fish marinated in different seasonings and many more food items, desserts and drinks. Lots of parking. Limited seating inside but do not let that stop you from going here. I'm happy they have extended hours now from 11am-8pm daily and a second location. Always Friendly Staff. I watched rocky and heavenly grow their business in Vegas and although they now have two locations, a pop up food truck and do tons of catering, the quality of the food and service has never declined. Best loco moco in the city, rare ahi katsu is so good, garlic chicken, garlic ahi, you name it, it's delicious. Fresh fish in their poke, and some favorites like lau lau and chicken long rice, they always have something I want to eat. It comes with a side of rice, potato salad with crab OR mixed greens. The rice is more of the mushy side which works well with the meats. On its own- it's meh. Potato salad with grab was plain, just textured. Not something I would ever order Kimchi as a side was a beautiful touch and went well with the Meat Jun. I also ordered two different pokes 1. Hawaiian style is very very salty. So be aware it's not something you can munch or snack on, but it makes a great meal with rice. 2. Shoyu: this one was my favorite out of the two. The light amount of sauce was perfect and I could eat this all day, I ended up combing both in the same container and it worked as far as a combo! For dessert we had to make the dreaded choice of Japanese milk pudding OR Ube milk pudding. Since the Japanese is the original we had to try something different. The ube milk pudding was out of this world. Everything tasted extraordinary and were extremely flavorful. I do wish the dynamite chicken came with a tad bit more sauce, but that's just a preference as I'm a heavy sauce person. Only negative, and the only reason why I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars is because of the wait. My family and I waited in line for about 25 minutes, and we waited another 25 minutes for the food to be prepared after ordering. Everyone dining was really patient and considerate of the fact that the restaurant may be short staffed, but I'm unsure if I'll be returning if I have to wait another near hour for my order. It close to the house but hours weird cause outside weekends close at 4pm and weekends relatively early 6pm. I made it work plus friend keep raving about Furikake salmon. I had check it out besides local food need know all the spots. My first impression was talk about tiny spot more like take out then sit down. Literally table three and bar stools. Guess less than 15 total. Lucky found spot all tables full just had spot at bar stools. The interior love it. Artwork original and hell of cool. Total 808 vibes plus know current selling Noms candy on the side. Iykyk. I had to get the Furikake Salmon just cause. I more of Furikake Chicken guy. Menu nice size for sure has all local classics. They offer combos pick two meat or fish off the menu. I went with Furikake bliss got the Salmon and Chicken. Both were amazing. The chicken spicy version the sauce was Onolicous. Crispy skin, moist, and winnah! Same for the salmon. The portion size steal of deal and know local style plate lunch cover barely keeps the food in. The only thing ok with was the Mac salad. It's a small restaurant but it has several seating options, high top bars against the wall and windows and the tables as well. They also had a high chair, perfect for our baby to sit in. The menu offers a variety of items to choose from; several meat options (chicken, pork, beef/steak) and seafood options (salmon, shrimp, ahi /poke), along with many of the local Hawaii favorites. All combos come with scoop rice, potato crab salad and kimchee. We order 2 combo with spicy Korean chicken and laulau, a mini noodles and a mini dynamite ahi. Everything tasted as I expected, similar to other restaurant versions of the entrees we had. They also do large party style pans, ask for the price sheet to see what they offer for party pans. For two of us, food plus a large drink, total was over $45. They have fountain drinks (juices) but no free refills ($2 refills). When I called to see if they were open, the were responsive and picked up on the first ring. We ordered this for 4 people and it was the perfect amount: - Meat Jun (Regular) - I've never had Meat Jun before, but it can be roughly thought of as scrambled eggs with beef. I thought this was pretty good as the eggs had a lot of the sweet flavor that went well with the rice. I also thought the potato crab salad was pretty good as the imitation crab added another layer to the dish. - Half Garlic Chicken, Half Dynamite Chicken Katsu (Regular) - I think I liked the Dynamite Chicken Katsu a bit more as the sauce elevated the dish. - Shoyu Poke (1 pound) - This was the star of the meal. Although the poke was a bit expensive, I thought the fish was incredibly tender and the sauces soaked throughout the fish. I feel like when you buy poke from Costco, the fish has a bit more tendon in it, so I really appreciate that this one was way more soft.
